Usually not quite sure what to expect from toners.

I use it twice a day, no irritation, dryness, oiliness, no problems really. And it does remove excess cleanser from my face. At the same time, if there has been any improvements to my skin- I can't really tell. My last toner made my skin very soft...this one didn't.

The smell is pretty cool, I can't really relate it to anything but I like it. I am still otherwise okay with this product. Not enough to love or hate.

I used this product for a while. It's ok-it's pretty astringent so it does sting, but it helps clean deep down in pores. However, it can irritate your skin pretty easily. I would recommend only using it a couple nights per week. I use a different toner now (LUSH tea tree water and one of the Neutrogena ones with salicylic acid). Doesn't really help reduce acne or improve skin tone because it irritates too much.

I think I already found my HG toner! I really like this a loooottt! I use this on both morning and evening after washing my face. I have the whole seaweed line! I like this because it doesn't feel and smell alcohol-y (you know what I mean?) like other toners. I only need a few drops per application. I have the mother bottle (the big one) which I bought like 1 1/2 months ago and I haven't even consumed half of it and I use this religiously day and night! From what the label says, it is "pore minimising toning liquid to remove impurities and reduce excess oil. True to it's promise. My huuuge, I mean very huge pores pores are now less visible and I am not kidding! The oil control is great as well, though it doesn't mattify my oilies completely, my face is totally not greasy anymore! I would definitely repurchase!!!

It is effective. I only need to take little drops of the liquid on my cotton pad to mop my whole face. It has a light scent and gently refreshing my skin.
My pores look less visible and purified. My skin is also less oily. Though it claims to be shine-free, I don’t get matte look on my face. It’s still shiny but not greasy at all. It also effectively cleanses my face. I always find last traces on my cotton pad. Not every toner is able to do that. It controls the sebum though it has castor oil in it.

I bought three skin care products from TBS for $30. One of these products was this. I was not happy about the alcohol in the ingredients but overall, this does a great job in cleaning and minimizing the pores. In combination with the night cream or day cream from the Seaweed collection, this definitely makes a difference in mattifying my skin as well. Great product-

This is a pretty good toner. I haven't noticed any major improvements in my skin since using it (I wasn't really expecting any), but it feels very nice and refreshing. It doesn't dry me out but it clears up any oiliness, and helps me make sure I've completely cleansed my face every night.

To be honest, the only reason I bought this is because it smells so much like my favourite shampoo I used to have as a kid--Star Wars Galactic Shampoo in forest moon scent! *iznerdy* I got sooo excited when I smelled this toner because it took me back! So my review may be slightly biased here.

As a toner it's nothing amazing (I've never met a toner I found amazing anyway!), but it is quite nice. Repurchase for me!

I bought the trial set. I hate this at first. I used this again after few months, it helps to mattify my skin and nose areas seems to have less clogs. I use this in the morning, after I am done with the toning, I will leave the cotton wool on my nose area and let it sit for few extra mins, it helps oil-control in my nose areas the whole day. Makeup stay on well. I am so happy with TBS stuff:):)

This toner is rather average, not great but not horrible either.
It has a very neutral smell to it. Packaging to fine, easy to use.
It doesn't sting the face but I think it does a good job with oil control, after I use it I feel my face is cleaner & less oily for a good majority of the day. continued >>

Lovely smell, left my skin feeling clean once i had used it, got off excess make-up etc, however it caused me to break out. I had horrible sports and pimples all over my skin yuck. Therefore i will not reperchase, shame as i loved the fact that it didnt have any alcohol in it.

I was debating between buying the seaweed toner and the tea tree toner, but I didn't like the idea of the powder in the tea tree one.
This one works really well. Gets any last traces of dirt or leftover cleanser on my face and it seems to help clear up blemishes too. I have not had any issues with it clogging my pores or irritating my skin. And it doesn't make my skin shiny or oily.
A great final step to get my face super clean before applying moisturizer. I had pretty much given up on toners, because I had never found a good one. This is the best one I have tried.


UPDATE: For the past 2 months I have not been using any toner, and my skin seems to be reacting well to be toner-free. Instead of using a toner I'm using tea tree oil on a wet cotton round and then rinsing it off. Tea tree oil is amazing for acne-prone skin.
