This stuff was great! It covered well seeing as I tend to break out on my forehead and lasted all day on my skin. The colour was a perfect match for my very pale, freckly skin. The only thing is Max Factor has discontinued it so the search for a great foundation begins again!

I love this. This is my ds HG!! It blends well, doesn't cake, looks natural yet covers...I can't say enough. I have tons of other ds and high end stuff but I always reach for this.

I believe that Max Factor offers a fairly good shade range in facefinity, but unfortunately, the stores often do not carry the full range. The price is good, and for those who are extremely fair, this may be the only drugstore line that will have a shade pale enough for you, and if you cannot find a shade pale enough in this line, then you will probably not find a foundation match in a drug store and will probably need to look at higher end lines.
Color wise, this foundation, in cool honey matches my skintone perfectly. I am a cool-toned PPP, and many make-ups tend to go orange on me. This color has a good cool undertone without being drab. I think the mistake that many girls make is choosing the wrong undertone in addition to the wrong level of dark/light. As far as the shades go, I think this is as good as it gets for a drug store line. There are a wide range of shades from pale to dark in both cool and warm tones (as long as the retailer carries them).
My complaint is the finish. During the fall or spring, the soft matte finish is nice, and may seem convenient for those who don't want to be arsed with powders. However, during the summer when the skin tends to be sweaty and oily, this make-up tends to clump and gather. During the winter, it is rather drying. I am not a big fan of matte finish make-ups, and I find them to bring out the worst in both oily and dry skins (in oily skin they show off the large pores and tend to clump, and on dry skin they make the skin look leathery). Even a soft matte seems to be unflattering on most skins, in my opinion. I think that those with oily skin problems are better to use an oil-free water based make-up and look for oil control in their skin care products and powders rather than a matte finish foundation, and those with dry skin should use a sheer loose powder with a dewy finish foundation instead of matte finish foundations.
Coverage is excellent as long as you are not looking for a sheer foundation. It starts with moderate coverage and is buildable to conceal about anything (if you know how to use foundation and build in layers). For a sheer foundation, you would be better to look for such in another line.
Overall, this is a good spring and fall moderate to full coverage foundation, so go for it to save some money during fall and spring. However, it will bring out the worst in you under extreme weather conditions. If you live in Southern California, or any place like this with mild pretty weather, this may be a great year round moderate to full coverage foundation. Just know that there is nothing sheer about this foundation no matter how little of it you use, or even if you mix it with moisturizer, it will not have a sheer finish.
The effect is not natural-looking - I end up looking too made-up, if you understand what I'm saying. The texture is very liquidy, like water?? It is not moisturizing, so it's really bad for my dry skin in the cold weather. I try to put a layer of moisturizer before applying this, but still its too dry. Yes this stuff's meant to be long-lasting, but I think it's too long-lasting! It's so hard to remove this makeup completely! I have to clean my face TWICE before its decently clean, and I've got really dry skin so all this excessive face cleansing doesn't do me much good either. I'd give this a pass.
Even in the shade porcelain this was too dark, not on inital application but within 10 mins it turns orange.
Very heavy looking and doesnt keep shine covered. Would never buy again, was around £10 and was total waste of money.
I gave this a try as Boots didn't have my shade of Max factor lasting performance, and I dont find it anywhere near as good. The colour corrupts after a few hours, darkening up towards an orangey tinge, and also went a bit shiny. I gave it 2 as i think it might be better on people who are not as pale faced, and maybe drier skinned than I. I wouldn't buy it again and in my opinion the only decent Max Factor foundation is lasting performance, as all the others seem to do the orange thing on me!
This is one of my regular foundations that I use. It stays put, offers somewhere in between light and medium coverage, goes on smoothly and evenly, spreads very well, feels great, and it has neutral undertones so it matches my skin fairly well. It's not greasy, and doesn't turn into grease after a long day's wear. I wear it on days when I know I'm going to be active like shopping or for any outside activity.
I love this foundation.. it's been discontinued in the UK so I have to trawl the net for it.
It goes on very smooth, I only wear it in the evening- it's ideal for evening makeup because you can tell you're wearing it and it does last. I have pretty good skin but I do get the occasional zit but this didn't aggrevate my skin at all.
Wouldn't recommend it as a daywear but def. for nighttime use :)
I have very pale skin with red blotches on my cheeks and mild acne. This foundation covers my imperfections nicely without too much coverage. With a quality powder, it will also be several hours before shine comes through, and even then it is very mild. My biggest complaint is that the colors do not match my skin very well, and it can be difficult to apply for those with little "foundation experience". It dries very quickly and does not leave much time for blending. It is not the best foundation out there, but it is better than most drug store brands. Also, it does not cause breakouts or other negatives reactions on my sensitive skin.
