This mascara CLUMMMPPPPED like none other!!
It made it look like I had three, fat, sticky lashes, which was totally not attractive. The packaging, to me, looked tacky, the brush always seemed to have WAY too much product on it, and the formula was just as sticky as bubble gum.
It. Was. Disgusting.
Not worth the money at all.
Plus, the product flaked and smeared all day long, peppering my face with tiny black clumps of crumbly mascara. When I applied it to my lower lashes as well, it smeared and gave me panda-eyes.
Bought it without reviewing (huge mistake). I couldn't resist the adorable packaging, but don't let that fool you. I only apply 1-2 coats on my lashes and got lots of clumps, mascara is way too watery and smudges so easily. I'm usually a pro with not getting mascara on my eye lids, but It was impossible for me to stay away from that mistake with this mascara. I will NEVER buy again.
Even though I know better than to pick up a drugstore mascara on a whim without doing any research, this is exactly what I did and I couldn't regret the purchase more. The packaging was so cute, with its leopard spots, and I'd had good luck with Maybelline Volum' Express in the past. HUGE MISTAKE. The very curved brush and thin watery mascara left me with four huge clumps of spiky lashes. I couldn't wait to wash this off and return the entire thing. It was a disaster. This mascara is the worst.
I'm ambivalent about this mascara. While the packaging is super cute (love anything with cats) and I adore the curved brush, I think the formula is a bit dry. I'm a little confused as to how so many reviews claim this is a wet mascara -- this formula is so dry I wonder if I have any mascara on at all! However, I do see significant lengthening & a decent curl, so it is doing something. Not sure why it's marketed as a volumizing mascara either because I didn't notice any thickening of my lashes, which is what I personally look for in a mascara. But no clumping or raccoon eyes to be seen, so that's a plus. Overall, not a HG but not a bad mascara. I'm not blown away but would repurchase because it does its job. Just an average mascara. continued >>

I really like it! As long as you are comfortable using a curved brush, you should like it too. I use waterproof, it holds curl better. The texture is nice, no clumps if applied properly, no flaking. Good stuff! Will buy again.
I found there were lots of pros and cons to this mascara. First of all, I loved the brush. The shape was perfect for grabbing my lower lashes! The formula was a little wet, which was fine for me since I prefer wet mascaras. I liked the amount of length it gave my lashes, but that said it didn't do much for volume.
I found this mascara was a lot like Maybelline's lash stiletto, right down to the smell. If you like that mascara, you'd probably like this one.
It didn't really create a "cat eye" for me, although I wasn't really expecting it to be a miracle worker in that sense. Overall it was an okay mascara, but the reason I wouldn't repurchase is because it made my eyelashes fall out! Not just a few either, I actually have a little spot on my right eyelid where there are no lashes. I don't know if other people have experienced this or if it's just me, but despite the cheap price I wouldn't personally risk it again.
I do really like this mascara. I think it works best for ambidextrous people due to the tapered wand... The formula isn't too wet or dry to me and doesn't bother my sensative eyes. It separates nicely. However, it does provide more of a "spiked" lash effect... so if you don't like that, you probably won't like this. The bristles are the standard ones. (not plastic) The smell is nothing of note.
This is the worst mascara I've ever used. It barely gets any mascara onto my eyelashes. I have found that most maybelline mascaras don't make my eyelashes look bold enough. Awhile ago I switched over to Rimmel london but I decided to give this cat eye mascara a try since it seemed similar to the Rimmel one I already use. I think I'm just going to throw the maybelline one away since its so useless.
If you want really REALLY bold cat eye lashes I suggest trying Rimmel London "The Max Bold Curves" (it's the green one)
it has the same curved brush which gives great lift but it coats the lashes really well without looking clumpy and it makes the maybelline one look like a joke

I LOVE this mascara. If you do not know how to use the brush, you will NOT like this product. It is a different brush that most people aren't used to, I didn't even get the hang of it until the 3rd week, maybe 4th.
I have no idea what other people are doing to apply this but you have to use it very carefully or else you'll get clumps (which is very rare for me) the cat eye look is possible, as the packaging promises, but once again, if you don't know how to work the brush, don't bother.

I'm seriously shocked to see some bad reviews on this product. I am by no means a makeup guru but I know a good mascara when I use one. This didn't give me the cat eye look I was going for, however it's still the absolute best mascara I've used. All girls experience clumping with their mascaras I'm sure, but with the widely spread bristles on this brush, I didn't experience even the smallest of clumps until a 4th or 5th coat (WHICH WASN'T EVEN NEEDED). This mascara is a beautiful black and lengthened my lashes so amazingly. The first day I wore it, I just put a little on; one coat & very lightly. And my mom interrupted me mid-conversation at lunch just to compliment my lashes and how perfect and long they looked. I absolutely love this mascara and I expect it to sell out quickly so I stopped by walmart to buy a few more tubes just incase!
The absolute only con about this mascara is that it's really wet when applying so you should really be careful when looking up after application. I just put some translucent powder on my lashes to keep it a little dry and it looks perfect. I would definitely recommend this mascara if my friends asked, but until then it's just my little beauty secret ;) continued >>
