I am in love with this stuff. It's so refreshing and really leaves you with a squeaky clean feeling but not overly stripped or dry. I like to use this during the summer and warm weather months to keep my skin from getting oily or breaking out.
This product is amazing to wake up to. I find the coconut and lime so refreshing, the scent and the way it feels on my face. The only thing is, it can be really abrasive for my face. I would recommend it for use on the body. Maybe it's just me, tons of other people seem to love it and my friends always return to buy huge tubs of it.
The saleslady at Lush hounded me to buy this product and while I had heard great things about this product, I had initially wanted to try something else at my first trip to Lush. But I am SO glad that I bought this! It smells wonderful and feels even better on my skin. After I use this on my body in the shower, I follow up with a moisturizing body lotion and my skin feels flawless and super smooth. It is very popular for a reason. I have yet to try this on my face. Hopefully it gives me the same results.
I really like this scrub. The smell is so lovely and fresh and even though there are some very rough bits in it, I don't find it too harsh (I have the European version).
I have quite sensitive skin, not acne prone, but allergic to some products and ingredients. It can also get quite dry.
I exfoliate once a week with this and my face never seems irritated, despite the reviews that say how harsh this can be. My skin is just lovely and smooth.
It's just a nice scrub, no miracle product or anything, but I really love the smell and a little does go quite a long way, considering the fact that I only exfoliate once a week.
So I might repurchase, but it's not a product I can't live without.
Point blank - this broke me out. As an exfoliator it was fine but nothing special in my opinion. However, my friend uses this and loves it. To each their own I guess. If you're acne prone I'd be wary.
When everyone one was making a big deal about this scrub, I had to try it out for myself first. On my first visit to LUSH I purchased the smaller size container just to try. My skin is oily and acne prone and the first day that I used this scrub on my face I LOVED it. My skin felt so smooth and clean. The scrub smells so amazing and it works wonders on your skin. I had very bad hormonal acne on my face and I am not sure if it was this product alone or a combination of items, but now my acne has gone away and my face looks so much cleaner now. I love this product and I had already purchased another tub (the bigger size this time).

This was suggested to me as a facial scrub. Which is fine, but I thik it's more appropriate for a body scrub. Ocean Salt contains large salt granuals which might be irritating to some users. It's in a coconut cream base and it has citrus oils. It smells more like a cocktail with lemon zest more than the ocean or sea. I have oily skin that breaks out occasionally. I'm happy with how well it rinses off. I haven't used a facial scrub in a while (before finding this) only because they are usually a pain to rinse off. This worked great for my skin type. If you're sensitive, skip it. If you have oily skin, try it! The price is right for the size that you get. The jar packaging works so it's easy to scoop out as much product as you need.
Other than the packaging, I'm pretty much in love with Ocean Salt. Apologies for length, but here is my review. My skin is pretty good for the most part, but it can look somewhat dull, sometimes get dry patches, blackheads and also hormonal breakouts which can get nasty on my chin. I had been using the Clarisonic before (received as a gift) and I loved the deep cleaning properties at first and it really helped me get a glow when I used it. However, it made my skin go to hell whenever I had hormonal breakouts. I am aware that this is somewhat of a user issue, you should not use a Clarisonic when when you have a breakout at all. But I want to feel a deep clean when my skin was already looking like crap and feeling gross. I got a nasty breakout on the entire right side of my face every month.
So I tried Ocean Salt. I was skeptical at first, I was not pleased with tube and the scooping issues. But the smell was so amazing and beachy smelling, and smelled clean. I was afraid that the salt chunks would be similar to that horrible St. Ives apricot scrub that makes me so red, but this was perfect. My skin gets that same glowy look as when I used the Clarisonic and feels so clean and smooth. Best of all, minimized hormonal breakouts even after using this twice a week along with a regular cleanser without the clarisonic in between. As in minimized from how it was before I used the clarisonic! My only issue is forcing myself not to overuse and figuring out whether or not to bother with the Clarisonic again! So yes, I will definitely repurchase again and again.
My friend raves about this product and I tried it when I was at her house and my skin felt great for about 3 minutes and then it instantly dried out and I had dry patches on my face for a week. It was miserable my skin was red and itchy.
The two main ingredients in this are vodka and salt. If your skin is sensitive (even just a little bit) it's going to irritate your face. It's way to harsh for a facial scrub. Vodka, salt, & citrus are not good for your face. It might work way better on your body and for people who have frequent break outs on their back .
