This a beautiful dark pink--almost berry blush. It is very pigmented and so a little goes a long way. It's very easy to over do it with this blush. It has some shimmer to it but it's not bad. I think the shimmer blends pretty well. You get a decent amount and what I like is it's easy for my brush to fit. I hate some packaging that makes it impossible for my brush to glide on easily. For the price this isn't a bad product at all. It does wear off about midday to late afternoon for me.
A decent pink blush that should be flattering on most skin tones (For reference, i'm Asian with yellow undertones, fair to medium in colouring). The pigmentation is good (but not so pigmented that you have to be particularly light handed. The good old method of swipe and go works with this :P ) and it blends effortlessly. A great buy considering it's quality and how inexpensive it is!
With my deathly palor, blush is somewhat of a staple in my makeup routine. Without it, people ask me if I'm sick. Yep, that pale.
So along comes Wet 'n' Wild with this pretty coral blush. Why not? It's cheap, won't be a loss if it doesn't work.
Be warned though, this blush is very, VERY pigmented. I swiped my brush then on my cheeks it went...instant clown face. Now I just pat it with my brush once, tap off the excess, then use a light hand to blend it in. Voila! My cheeks have color.
As with most WnW packages, if you drop or look at it hard enough, it will break, so keep that in mind. You get a lot of product for the money, and it's so pigmented, I doubt I'll need to repurchase for a long time.
Just a small disclaimer: I have NARS Ogasm, and it is NOTHING like Pearlescent Pink. Ogasm is brighter, has finer shimmer, and is less pigmented.
I received this as a gift, and was never fond of it. I think that it is fairly pigmented, but it doesn't appeal to me. It lasts around 2 hours, as any other blush does (on me at least) . I have seen others wear it, and I don't find it flattering on them either. Wouldn't recommend.
So incredibly impressed with the entire color icon line and especially this blush. My rating should be more along the lines of a 4.25, but this blush is a gorgeous medium, warm pink that would look fabulous on almost every skin tone. I'm about a NC 37 and this gives my the perfect pinky glow. Darker than me and this would be perfect as a highlight and for lighter complexious, be careful with the application of this blush. I've always been really hesitant about purchasing and using pink blushes because my skin has a very yellow undertone and I always stuck to peachy orange tones, but this blush completely changed my mind. I love it with red lips especially but also when doing more cooler looks. The price is great, and another one to try out in this line is Mellow Wine. The reason that I didn't give a perfect 5 for this is because I wish it was slightly less shimmery and maybe a little more sheeny, but other than that..PERFECTION.
Best blush for day time. I use this when I don't want to put effort into my makeup.
It's a dollar so it really doesn't matter if it breaks. I wouldn't call this coral, nude or peach. It's pink a definite pink. It's not baby or barbie or hot. I have a light skin tone that is very yellow to olive. I have to mostly buy medium foundations and sheer them out if they are drugstore because the light ones are to pink.
This works on a variety of skin tones cause it's very neutral in undertone.
I hope WnW never stops making this color! It has just the right amount of sheen to it (so finely milled, I wouldn't call it shimmer) and lasts all day. The only caveat is that you have to be extremely careful not to put on too much, which is easy to do with a normal blush brush. What works so well for me is to use a delicate fan brush, the kind used for powder. It holds much less product and dusts it on your skin in just the right amount. Try it!
I first reviewed this in 2004 and throughout the years have strayed to other "HG" blushes. However, I am back to this and wonder why I ever bothered trying others. First off, on me this is pink. Period. I have seen many many other reviews stating this is peachy/pink or coral/pink but I think ,no, its pink. I have used peachy colored blushes faithfully for the last 2-3 years, many which I loved, and I know peachy when I see it. Pearlecent pink is pink- not hot pink or baby pink ,just a natural flushed pink with slight shimmer. Its the shade I naturally blush or what my cheeks and nose look like when Im out on a cold day. I have light skin- Foundation shades like Colorstay sand beige, FIT 120, Dream line- classic ivory, NYC smooth skin - nude. Black hair and warm brown eyes. I tend to lean torward cooler makeup shades and this blush is perfect, especially with my newest look of cherry red lips, sheer or bold and soft silver eyeshadow on lids, sheer white eyeshadow as highlight/black liner on water lines only. Plus a little goes a long way, I barely touch my ecotools dense blush brush on to it and swirl on the apples of my cheeks. Perfect.
I bought this due to all the good reviews on it and I must say that it's really a good blush for it's price! I was surprised that it was super pigmented, it has a bit of shimmer to it and I love the pink colour. Of course the packaging could be better though!
For $3, you can't ask for much from the packaging. The blush itself is great though, highly pigmented, and I have acne-prone and oily skin, and it does not exacerbate either.
