Wonderful mascara that lifts, thickens, and separates lashes in a single stroke. I naturally have long thick lashes, but they're stick-straight and so I need a mascara that will lift them up and give them just a little more *oomph*. I got no clumps, no irritation (I wear contacts), no flaking at the end of the day or running when I put in eyedrops, and my lashes stayed curled and thick all day. The wand bristles are short and allow you to get right up to the lash line without potentially poking yourself in the eye, and makes coating the lower lashes a breeze. The wand's nothing fancy, but it does its job quite welI--like how sometimes you just want a well-made burger rather than some big fancy-pants dinner. It *is* quite expensive for a mascara at $30, but you get what you pay for here. Probably not the mascara for you if you want big drama doll eyes, but if you want something sophisticated without looking borderline drag, this does the job wonderfully.

HOWEVER: I would NOT recommend applying more than one coat, as that's where you're going to get the spider-legs look. One pass is frankly all you need, and again if you're looking for high-drama anyways you'll be better served by another mascara.

I was seduced by the glossy packaging and the promises made by this mascara ... but was sadly disappointed. It's didn't evenly coat my lashes and was already clumping on the second coat. The brush is definately not designed for those us of with long bottom lashes. I think I've been spoiled by Diorshow - and will be returning to using this instead.

I was distracted by the brand and assumed it would be amazing.. It is a really nice mascara and does give volume and length, etc after two or three coats which is perfect. The only thing is that your lashes can look a little spidery if you go over two or three coats and the brush is kind of stiff, so it's hard to get all your lashes.

Brilliant! Each lash is separated, beautifully coated and non clumpy. I wore it to work then simply added another coat when I went out that night - looked like it was freshly applied. Love, love, love it.

I have been a makeup fanatic most of my life, spending countless dollars on more than I care to remember. This is by far the best mascara that I have ever used! Not only does it coat each lash, lengthen them and make them reach the sky, it also lasts all day! I also find that my lashes have never looked better and longer even after the mascara is removed. It truly is a great makeup product and treatment. It is costly, but I will have to add this to my "it costs a fortune but I cannot live without" purchase list.

This is definitely one of the best mascaras I've ever used! It creates serious volume and definition. My lashes look super dark and dramatic after I've used this. I love the sleek packaging. The only downside is the price, but you do get your money's worth.

If you want something that is almost as good, and way cheaper I've found that Loreal Voluminous mascara works (almost) as well.

This is the only mascara for me that does not smudge!!! The mascara gives me a natural look, and it is easy to wash off every night with a gentle cleanser!!! I do not lose any eyelashes when I use this mascara. The wand and formula is excellent, and it separates my lashes beautifully. The formula stays on all-day, and is proven, by experience to withstand humidity and the heat of summer. It's definitely my go-to, and I love it!! =)

I'm a bit disappointed by this mascara as I find it not easy to apply (very wet) and the colour is not very intense (I tried black).
I think there are other mascaras much less expensive that do a much better job than this one (for example Revlon ones).
Not worth the money !

Oh, the woes of finding the perfect mascara! I have read review after review to try and find my new HG mascara (after my Lancome Hypnose Drama and YSL Effet Faux Cils failed me) and decided to try out Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara. So far, I am REALLY liking it! It offers great volume and length without clumping (Lancome...). No racoon eyes, no smudges or smears, no flaking. Yay! It IS the same price as the YSL (which is why I decided to find something new in the first place), but I am hoping that a tube will last longer than a month, which would make the price a little more palatable. I should mention that I like MAJOR lash drama. There's no such thing as too much volume and I want my lashes to look like falsies. Thus far, this mascara delivers. If this is what you want in a mascara, I would definitely recommend.

I usually buy Maybelline, Revlon, Rimmel and other cheap mascaras, so this was my first high end mascara and boy am I in for a treat! Usually non waterproof mascaras smudge very easily for me and by the end of the day I end up with a black smudge below my eye. But this mascara (even though it is not waterproof) did not smudge one bit! At the same time my eye lashes feel light and moisturised and not dry at all. When I went to buy this I compared it with Chanel Sublime mascara. The length, curl and volume power of the inimitable is much more stronger than sublime. Sublime gives a more natural, pretty look, and while inimitable gives the same look it is much more defined. This mascara also separates my lashes really well. Each one is defined and separated giving a feminine fan like appearance. I will never go back to cheap mascaras again!
