I've been struggling to find a mascara that doesn't irritate my eyes and looks nice (doesn't smudge, flake, mega-clump).

On the upside, this mascara didn't irritate my eyes into an itchfest. That was the only positive (and enough of one that I really tried to make it work).

On the downside, the clumping was horrid (even after combing, my husband asked about it, and he hasn't commented about any of the mascaras I've tried), and it smudged quite easily, giving the smokey eye look on one lid or the other.

I gave it 2 lippies because of the lack of irritation, but the appearance (clumping, smudging) was pretty lousy. continued >>

Okay mascara for me.
It's waterproof, but not smudge-proof. I'd always end up with black smudges and flakes under my eyes at the end of the day.
It's also a clumpy and dry (especially on my bottom lashes), doesn't go on very smooth, and doesn't give that much volume.

i love this mascara ! it doesnt give the full volume like i hoped but i just throw some l'oreal on first and its works no big deal. it gives me sky high length. a tiny bit on the wet side . my only gripe with it would be removal its very hard to get off even after applying oil and remover 2 times. so i only wear it on the weekends really . other then that its great!

Hey girlies!! Now makeup lovers dont forget that this review should talk about how great the water proof quality is. IT IS AMAZING! Ok when I wrote this review and as you know its the beginning of the summer :). My friend has a pool so I decided to go to maybelline to find a great waterproof mascara. I always wanted to try lash stiletto so of course i purchased it. I swam WITHOUT goggles and my mascara didnt even run. It actually looked more dramatic lol. It kinda lengthens but dosent clump that easily. It looks natural. Please consider this mascara your waterproof hero. NO CURL NO VOLUME ONLY A LITTLE LENGTH NO STAYIING POWER AFTER 12 HOUR

This mascara works for me. It has a rich black color, separates and lengthens the lashes and lasts all day. No flakes. It's the best one that I've tried, yet. I had to try new mascaras since my trusty Max Factor mascara is no longer sold in the US.

not very waterproof. smudges and flakes easily. it's ok i guess. but i will not repurchase.

PROS: Pretty good volume. Decent length building. Quite inexpensive.


CONS: Doesn't build thickness enough. For waterproof, doesn't last long before I get tiny flakes everywhere.



APPLICATION TIPS: Shiseido's primer (even the new one) helps this stay on MUCH longer without flaking. I am a recent convert to using Shiseido's popular curler too.


ALTERNATES: I use L'Oreal Beauty Tubes for lasting lashes (without much thickness.) Jordana's Volumizing mascara and Loreal's Voluminous Million Lashes give me volume and length that lasts a long time without flaking.

Yuk - a little length (the spidery looking kind) no volume at all, OK staying power. Will not re-purchase

Okay, so this if my all time favorite Maybelline mascara for right now of course! But, i adore this Mascara. I am really glad i did buy it! I was looking for a nice mascara and i was going to go buy Lash Blast but this packaging stood out to me. Well what it does for my lashes: It makes them super long and i love it! It gives me a dramatic look which i am always looking for, For the voluptuous: it doesn't really add too too much volume, it mostly lengthens, but i have not tried the original so i could not compare. But i do like this mascara a lot and i would deff be buying this again. It doesn't smudge and stays on all day! Now some cons: The waterproof formula is somewhat hard to get off and it had a very tiny amount of clumping if you do not use it properly and it gets really messy on the bottle. But other than that, i adore this product! (:

i'm completely shocked that there are people who dont like this mascara - i'm a total convert! i picked it up cause i was out of waterproof mascara and since i dont wear it much, dont bother to buy 'the good stuff'... meanwhile, i now tend to use this over 'the good stuff' (diorshow) even when i dont need waterproof!
