This bronzer is fanstatic especially when you want to achieve that summer glow. It comes in 4 different shades which you can used just one shade or used then all by mixing the brush around. The packing is very similar to NARS without the waxing covering that includes a nice size mirror. This bronzer is great and the prices make it much better.
At first I had no clue what I would use this for, and then I fell in love. It works awesome as a highlighter for my milk chocolate skin. I use it more than all my other bronzers/highlighters. I also use the individual colors as neutral shadows (although it takes a base and a little layering), and it is great for browbown highlights or body shimmer. The shimmer is fine, it's easy to blend, the layers go on thin allowing you to control how much glow you want.
Overall, it is one of my staple products & will take me forever to use up. The icing on the cake is that it is cheap & accessible!
OK first of all i LOVE the packaging! its feels expensive like it would be MAC lol
second the color in it are nice but together they make me look orange :( maybe i just need to use 2 at a time and not mix all 4?
but overall pretty good it was cheap.
This is my favorite bronzer, and only at £3.50! The package is very sturdy and big. There's enough product to go a long way. You can see from my swatch that it has a subtle shimmer to it, it gives my face a very nice glow. I swirl the elf flat top brush on all four shades and I do the usual "3" shaped application -temple, cheek, jawline- , then I use a bit more of the orange shade to give some color to my cheeks. Usually I also add a compatible coral shade blush on the apples of my cheeks and voila! Perfect sunkissed look.
EDIT: it is a little dark if i put too much, and can look muddy i suppose. but still a great bronzer, but for contouring i'm going to NYX Taupe now.
I bought this on a whim, not expecting it to look all that great because all the bronzers i've tried so far either look muddy or orange on me. No biggie, it's just $3 (well, $1.50 since it was 50% off) so worth a try right? It turns out that I wasn't disappointed at all once received and tried!
First the packaging. It comes in a nice sturdy looking compact reminiscent of NARS' packaging, but it's HUGE. it's easily twice the size of a NARS blush (imagine two of them lined up vertically side by side). I believe there is a big mirror on the inside cover as well. Amazing value for the price.
The bronzer itself is divided into four sections as shown in the picture above. two squares are darker brown bronzers while the lower left is a highlighter and the upper right is a warm pink/peach-ish (makes me think of NARS DT for some reason) blush. Because the pan is so bloody huge, i imagine it would be simple to use any of the shades individually, even if you have a relatively large brush (for example, I can dip the Studio flattop brush easily into each of the individual pans with only the very edge of the brush hitting another color). The size actually makes swirling all the color together a little difficult because the product is loosely bound.
in any case, there IS shimmer in the product, but it is not at all over the top or obvious.
Can you say dupe for MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in "Refined" for $3? I mean, they're not EXACTLY the same, but come on. The tones of both the e.l.f and MAC are sooo similar. And that is the e.l.f bronzer looks like the MAC Skinfinish when all the colors are swirled together. Anyway, I do love this bronzer. It's slightly shimmery and gives my face a really nice fuzzy glow, it very much warms up any cool undertones. Essentially, this is fantastic. You can build color, blend it easily, and it's just a very reliable and safe bronzer that won't give you the tell-tale "mud face" look.
I don't use this all over my face because of the shimmer. Though the shimmer isn't too overpowering, it still shows. I wish it was a bit more matte. These are extremely pigmented. I swatched them on my hand and was honestly surprised at how much color was on my hand. Though you have to keep that in mind when applying, I guess it could be easy for somebody to apply too much because of the pigment. The packaging is similar to NARS, but it's still gorgeous. Even my mom noticed it - somebody who knows nothing about make up thought the packaging was cute. I would buy this again. :)
it's quite a subtle bronzer and the shimmer it appears to have, that i thought was kinda scary, it actually isn't since it just gives you a nice glow!!
Great bronzer! I love this! Although the colors aren't SUPER pigmented, it works great with the right brush (kabuki or dense flat-top brush). The colors are great and give a nice bronzy-pink look. I like using this as a blush and I can use the darker shades for a bronzer as well. I don't have a problem with this being too shimmery (although I don't really use this as a bronzer much) and it just gives the perfect color and glow to your cheeks as a blush. For fair ladies, I'm not sure how well this would work, but if you're medium-tan, this is great! Buy this!
I love this bronzer. I use the golden shade for contouring and to add a golden kiss to my fair skin. I use all of the shades the peach, deep gold, champagne, and bronze as eyeshadows for a subtle daytime look. They are prettier than shadows I have bought as the colors are subtle and summery. I use the champagne underneath my liner for staying power. The powder has no scent and does not irritate the skin. It is a cheap multi-use product.
