I've never had an allergic reaction with any eyeliner but this one was unbelievable! It made my eyes cry, super red, and made me super sleepy from straining my eyes all day. I felt sick Everytime I put it on! But.... I continued to put it on because it's so dark and I love that! Many times I would have to take it off and redo it because it would come out too thick on the top. It's a good eyeliner and it doesn't seem like a lot of other people have had allergic reactions but I really have never had a problem with that but this one was really bad so beware!

After buying this on a whim and falling in love with it after the 1st time using it, I could not wait to come to MUA to see if others agreed. It appears for the most part this is a winner.

The colors are opaque which is 'Intense" according to L'Oreal but if you are looking for a liner that is pigmented w/deep colors, this is it.

The texture for me is amazing, I have a love-hate relationship with liquid liners. How many times have I had to start over because the line is too thick or not even? The end result - at times 15 minutes later - is a beautiful line that makes my eyes pop. Pencil liners have always been hit or miss. I am sure all of us have had the pleasure of a pencil being as dry as the Sahara Desert with no slip. The gel liners with the little brush (IE L'Oreal Hip) have been my "go-to" liners lately.

This "liquid pencil" liner is the best of both worlds, easy to apply pencil with plenty of slip but not too much as to smudge. Easy to put in a make up case & not needing a separate brush. The look is similar to a liquid and makes eyes get noticed. I have found making a thin line is next to impossible but the type of line this makes is what I prefer. It holds up well & lasts from the beginning of my work day til the end. The only 'con' is that it needs sharpening but for me that is a trade-off I can live with.

I've only been messing around with eyeliners for a few years now and I thought I'd never get away for my Maybelline Unstoppables. As much as I liked the Unstoppables my eyes looked like a raccoons in a few hours Maybe it was how my eyes were shaped, maybe oily lids, or maybe I kept rubbing them, but even when I didn't it would smudge :/ I was being bugged to get a new eyeliner so I was just handed this one and I thought, 'Why not?'. I was impressed by the shocking intensity of the black . I really liked how bold the color looked. I also was impressed how smoothly the pencil applied. I'm not crazy about having to sharpen the pencil or that it has to be sharpened at all. Also the price and it does smudge eventually, but not as bad as my previous eyeliner. I do think the bold color and the smoothness was a big plus for me. Would I buy it again, sure. :)

Just like the review shown below about the girl that was having problems of getting a "blurred vision" from using this eyeliner, the same EXACT thing was happening to me. I wear contacts as well. Well, when I first bought this product, I thought I'd love it, and when I first tried it on, it seemed completely perfect for me to use. It was very creamy and dark. I was looking for a creamy, easily glide-on pencil that I can use to line my waterline. NO, I DON'T SUGGEST anyone who wears contacts to use this as a safe way to line their waterline! I started noticing this whenever I went to school, my contacts, somehow, started to "fog up" my vision. It was such a bother, sometimes I would go to the nurse to re-solution my contacts and the same problem would occur a few minutes later. This one time I went to the nurse 3 times in one day for this and they didn't even know the problem but they suggested I go to th eye doctor, but I was too hesitate to because I knew it wasn't the contacts itself, it had to be something that was affecting it. It would occur everyday since using this eyeliner on my waterline and I would go home early from school because it bothered me SO MUCH. I even opened new pairs of contacts to make sure it wouldn't happen again, but it did. I started wearing glasses and it didn't happen anymore, but I realized, it HAD TO BE THIS EYELINER that affected my contacts. I noticed whenever I took off my contacts, so much particles from the eyeliner would come off the solution and there would be eyeliner marks on the contacts. Also, this eyeliner would smudge easily and when it got runny from re-soluting my contacts, it stung soooo much. I even noticed this eyeliner could only make such thick strokes. This was when I had to stop using it for my waterline, or completely and since then not using it, the problem never came back.

I have small crease so this is definitely not the eyeliner for me because you can only make thick lines with it. Also it is hard to sharpen. After one use or two, you end up having a round tip which is not user friendly to draw a precise line.

Pro:
--super creamy
--goes on smoothly

Con:
--can't draw thin lines with it
--needs to be sharpened daily
--hard to sharpen, it makes a mess on my pencil sharpener because it is too soft and creamy.

Okay, at first I was in love with this product. It glided on, it was nice and dark and it looked so pretty with my extra dark eyes. After around three times of wearing it, trouble started. First of all, I wear contacts and I am seriously near sighted. All of a sudden I started to have blurry vision. I figured my contacts needed changing so I opened a new pair. The blurriness continued so I figured maybe I had gotten makeup or something on the contacts so I opened another pair and made sure to wipe away any excess liner beneath the upper lash line etc. Again, same blurriness. Then I started to get scared and thought I had some sort of eye problem so I made an appointment with my opthamologist. The next morning I didn't use the liner because I had my eye doctor's appointment and I didn't wear any eye makeup. All day my eyes were fine and no blurriness. I still went to the appointment and he saw nothing. That night everything was still fine so I figured I just had a bad experience. Of course, the next morning I put the liner on and blur city again!! And duh, I finally figured it was the liner!!! The darn thing was running into my eyes and I was only using it to line the upper lids!! So, I had to stop using it, later for how good it looked on me. I just could not tolerate walking around with blurred vision!!

This is an absolutely amazing product! I am a daily eyeliner user and had been on the hunt for a quality eyeliner for a really long time. I have tried everything from MAC, Benefit, Urban Decay and none of them worked as well as this one. It goes on smoothly and i use MAC Carbon to set they eyeliner in my waterline. When I use this one my lids, I use a primer underneath and lasts all day. Would reccommend this product. I actually ended up stocking up on this because I couldn't find it originally.

This product is AMAZING. It lasts all day, never smudges, and is just so easy to apply- it glides right on. I'd use this over my Urban Decay eyeliners any day. Since I have oily waterlines, I put powder on before and after this eyeliner, as I would do with any, which helps it last a lot longer. My only complaint is that the tip of the pencil tends to fall off a lot, so the pencil itself doesn't last for as long as it should. But besides that, it is definitely worth trying. I would recommend this to anyone, and will be re-purchasing :)

I normally don't use pencil liners because they never last on my oily lids, but I gave this one a try because of the "liquid" in its name. I got this in Brown and wanted to use it for days when I don't want to look like I have eyeliner on, but still want to look awake and not washed out. The first time I tried this, I only went out for about 3-4 hours, so the liner lasted and there was no smudging. The next day, I had a longer day (6+ hours) and I noticed a bit of smudging. Both tries were without eyelid primer, though. I imagine that it would last a bit longer with primer.

So the lasting power is decent enough and better than other pencils I have tried, but I would not buy this again because the pencil is way too soft. The first time I opened mine, the tip broke off. I had to put it in the freezer for ~10 minutes for the pencil to harden and to sharpen it. It's also messier than other pencils because it's so soft, so it's a bit of a pain to use when I'm in a rush. continued >>
