I have had this shampoo a good five months before I reviewed it. Honestly, it makes my hair feel SO dry and I don't even have damaged hair. I have a bit past shoulder length hair that is fine yet I have a lot of it. After using this in the shower, it makes my hair a tangled hot mess. It takes a ton of conditioner just to wash it out! It also left a ton of build up in my hair, which is not great for someone who already has fine hair. I love the idea of using a sulfate-free shampoo but will not be repurchasing this again.
I'm happy to report that this is a great shampoo. I have found that the Everpure and Everstrong shampoos are great at making hair strong and healthy. I have thin, long hair and a squeeze of this stuff lathers into all of my hair nicely. I can't say that this actually improves my hair color. Odd thing is Everstrong (bodify) seemed to do that better than this one. This stuff doesn't seem to weigh my hair down or leave residue behind. Just strong, volumized and soft hair over here!
I got the set (the conditioner and shampoo) as an Easter present. It was given to me because I color my hair every 6-8 weeks and it promises to help maintain your dye job without stripping it of color or oils. It's also sulfate free so it's supposed to have more natural qualities and ingredients to it. At first I was very skeptical to try this shampoo because I was told that only salon brands would protect colored hair and not drug store products but I gave it a go and tried it out. Here's what I have to conclude about it:
LIKES:
*It kept my hair feeling smooth, shiny, and not disheveled and knotty
*With many shampoos, I usually lose a bit of hair and it ends up sitting in my shower drain but with this one... no hair loss! None at all no matter what I do.
*It's a light-weight formula not so heavy that it leaves a residue
*The color stays intact and doesn't fade as far as I know of after using this product
DISLIKES:
*My hair is a little flyaway after using this product
*I don't know if it's giving me enough moisture
Would I buy it again? Probably not. It's not a bad shampoo by any means but it wasn't anything that made a big difference in my hair except for not losing any hair after washing. There are so many other shampoos to try that I don't want to sell myself short on one that I'm only so-so about. This one isn't bad though if you're trying to keep up your hair color.
Very hard to squeeze out of the tube and absolutely no lather, which I couldn't get used to. Also, felt like it was very hard to rinse out of my hair. But the worst part was the frizz: extreme frizz the length of the hair shaft from root to tip. I've never had frizz like that before and I got it every time I used this shampoo. I think this shampoo actually damaged my hair.
This made my hair feel like straw--like after coloring my hair kind of straw. I used deep conditioner after, I didn't think regular conditioner would get the tangles out. Smelled better than I expected. I may try the moisture/hydrating formula, but I wouldn't use this one again.
Thus product seemed to work well for the first few days I used it, but it did nothing special.
PROS: (1) very moisturizing, ideal for dry hair- but not for mine. (2) lathers well.
CONS: (1) smells like cheap salon, very fake for something that is totting itself as 'pure.' (2) this shampoo is still far from 'pure' it still has a lot of chemical ingredients. (3) irritated me sensitive scalp. (4) no volume, left my hair feeling heavy- does not fully rinse out. (5)Opaque flashy bottle- you can't see how much product is in there, not to mention the holo finish makes it hard to read the back of the bottle for information.
I picked this up because I thought it would be a gentle version of L'oreal Vive volumizing shampoo (which gave me tons of volume and shine, however left my scalp itchy and irritated). No go with this one.

I actually really like this shampoo. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and managable. Plus it's sulfate-free, which is awesome. My curls always look good after using this product.
I hoped this would be an improvement over colorvive but it is not. My hair felt limp, and it did not protect my hair color.
Like in my other review on the conditioner, I've used as many shampoos as conditioners and this one smells wonderful, is lightweight, doesn't leave my hair too dry, keeps color, and I don't have to use a lot of the product. The price is good compared to what I'd like to buy (Biolage). :)
I wanted to love this and I did at first but then I was horrified to learn last night that when I DON'T use this product, my scalp is not itchy and i don't have dime size flakes around my temple area. I wondered why for awhile when I was using this that I was getting dandruff but now i know! I bet its something in the "natural" ingredients that makes my scalp go beserk or dries it out so bad.. What a shame overall, last night I had to chuck the shampoo and conditioner and the bottles were half full. My first and last experience with l'oreal shampoo.L'oreal stick to making makeup, you do that so well! Gonna keep using my CHI shampoo it never lets me down :)
