I L.O.V.E this product! I have rather oily skin and concealers tend to not last more than an hour or two on me. I was hesitant to spend $16.50 with no guarantee it would work for me, but I'm so glad I did. I'll put it on in the morning and it still looks just as great at the end of the day!

Best concealer I've ever tried! Stays in place all day!!

Holy Grail! This concealer covers up both under eye circles and blemishes. My main concern for concealer is for my dark circles, and this does the job perfectly! It also works for covering up redness and blemishes. I apply this with my 224 blending brush and it looks totally airbrushed. It does settle into cracks if my skin is dry, so I just have to make sure to apply a moisturizing eye cream before using this concealer.
The one thing I absolutely DON'T like about this concealer is the packaging. The pump squirts out wayy too much product, and the bottle gets all messy. I'd prefer a tube like the Select Cover-up.

Unfortunately I was sold the wrong colour, otherwise I think id like this. SA sold me NW25 when I am NC25 in foundation. She thought the warmer tone would counter dark circles better. It honestly just makes it really hard to blend and means I have to wear foundation over the top. not happy.
I like the concealer though, it covers nicely, blends nicely apart from colour problem and really hides dark circles well. Not AS good for blemishes, but not bad.
Like everyone else HATE the pump. Way too much product, so its very wasteful.
Would buy again if I can get correct colour match.

To give you an idea of how much makeup I wear, this is the first concealer I've ever bought and I'm 44 years old. I found that at this age I needed a concealer for under-eye darkness/circles. A cousin who works for MAC recommended Pro Longwear for me and I cannot believe how efficient it is! I'm an NW25, light olive skin.
-Texture is perfect: glides on, easy to manipulate with fingers
-Color recommended for me is perfect
-It covers under-eye circles very well, but I've only got medium darkness
-Works well for lightly covering up differences in pigment around my nose, any blemishes as well
-Non-greasy, yet not dry or powdery
-Does not pool in creases of skin
-Does not move- even in this humid NYC 103 degree heat
The major problem I have is the pump in the bottle: (bear in mind I don't need a lot of the product) There is no way to control how much product you'd like to pump out, so a large amount comes out. I have wasted SO MUCH and this is not a cheap product. MAC, sort this out please.
Otherwise I'd have rated Pro Longwear a 5.

Some women here unscrew it but I can not do this, the top doesn't come off. So if somebody can tell me HOW they unscrew it that would be great!

I like this concealer and find it covers my dark undereye circles nicely. I HATE the pump though - it gives me way too much for what I need for my undereye area. I have started to unscrew it and wipe the pump bottom on my finger so I stop wasting so much. I will re-buy most likely but I hope they change the packaging before then.

Hmm....I have mixed feelings about this product. I don't think it's the best concealer in the world, but I don't think it's bad if you know some tips to make the best out of this product. I gave it 3 lippies, but if possible, I'd give it 3.5 lippies. I was browsing for a new concealer at the MAC counter and had a MAC sales rep find me the right color. I'm an NW20 and so far, it's matches my skin color. I usually just conceal my under eye areas and the redness around my nose, so nothing major on my face. If you're looking for major coverage for dark spots or blemishes, this might not be the product for you. It covers the redness around my nose pretty well, but I feel that it could do a better job for the dark area on the corner of my eyes. Sure my under eye area appears lighter, but it didn't give me that brightening effect. I don't know if that means I should try a shade lighter to get that brightening effect under my eyes, but it works well for my nose area. The product dries fast so when you squeeze it out of the bottle (which can be a bit difficult to get the right amount), make sure to blend it into your skin fast, otherwise it'll dry up and be harder to get the color in. It is quite long lasting so that's great since I usually have it on for more than 8 hours. As for tips, make sure to use a super moisturizing primer, eye cream/gel, or face cream before application or else you'll get cakey results. You can also mix moisturizer and this concealer together before putting it on to prevent it from drying up fast. I have dry skin and the concealer did make my under eye area cakey because of creasings. The flakiness around my nose became more apparent without proper moisturizing. Then I used the MAC studio cream moisturizer as a base and that solved most of the problem. There is still a bit of dryness right underneath the corner of my eyes, but it's not really obvious unless you are literally standing 3 inches in front of me. Though, I do worry that the dryness would be more apparent in the winter time. Guess I'll have to wait and see. I did not like the packaging. It looks kinda fancy, but it's glass so be careful when you carry it around. Also, I don't really like the pump because it's so easy to pump out too much at once. You only need a very small amount to apply each time. Personal experience taught me that trying to press down the pump with my index finger is hard. I either don't get any out or I get too much. My index finger shakes trying to get the right amount. However, I learned to pump it with my thumb and I could get the appropriate amount I need because I have more control of the strength used to pump the concealer out. I pump it on my hand and then use a concealer brush to apply it on the necessary areas. Then I use a finger to pat it in since it dries fast. I put mineral foundation over it and so far it works fine. It's $16.50 a bottle, but remember, a little goes a long way. I'm ok with it so far, but I'd like to try other concealers in the future. I have the worst blue/purple under eye circles that are more often than not, puffy too. I rather like this concealer for under the eyes as long as you put eye cream on first.
I do not really like this as a face concealer as it doesn't seem to cover any redness/blemish I might have.
I use a brush to apply first and then gently pat to set it for the day.
Has not emphasized any wrinkles or seeped into fine lines during the day.
Overall I really like this concealer but always have to have a little sample jar handy to put excess product in and use the next few days due to crappy pump it has.
Extra note:
The MAC person tried to sell me the wrong colour (a frequent issue for me at MAC) so I suggest you decide for yourself or bring someone you trust to help you choose the correct colour for you skin tone.

I bought this a week ago in NW20. When I got the bottle home I was like "I seriously paid $16.50 for this tiny bottle?" but when I used it the next day I realized that a little goes a LONG way. However, that's IF you can get a little out. The pump releases too much product if you aren't careful. The pump also gets messy. First, I apply a tinted moisturizer before this which I think helps it stay on. Then I apply under my eyes and the little redness around my nose. This concealer definitely helps cover up dark eye circles but I don't think it covers redness very well. I have not noticed drying out under my eyes or creasing. The product does last all day, which is great! One other thing I don't like is it heavily smells of chemicals. The smell doesn't linger but it's still irritating. At this point I will repurchase because its effective at covering up dark circles and I think the product will last awhile.

I don't like this product at all.
First, bad packaging, on one pump I get more product in my fingers than what I need. I have wasted more product so far than what I have actually used.
Second, since you get so much product out of one pump the bottle and your fingers get really messy.
Third, once it dries out it makes the skin underneath my eyes look wrinkled and old, it doesn't blend in too well either.
And fourth, it is way to expensive for it's poor quality.
I have the cheapo Sally Hansen All Over Brightener Concealer that works a hundred times better than this MAC product. Enough said. I love MAC however this product has an F+ in my book.

Well I have had the concealer for a couple months now and it is hard to pump out but I love how it looks besides that .With me being kind of brown-ish it doesn't fit me until I apply my Mac powder . It gives me kind of a pale zombie look almost until I apply my powder. It is worth the money and it only takes a little to apply to your whole face . I would recommend it . :)

Don't get why people like this so much. I don't like the container - wastes and it's a glass bottle, which can break, so I wouldn't like to take it with me on the go. This IS drying, especially under the eyes, which makes that area look old and ugly. Seriously people - be careful about what you use for your eyes, you probably don't want to get wrinkles later! This IS long lasting though, which is good, but it didn't look too good on: oxidized to an ugly orange colour, actually slid of my nose and it was pretty obvious that I had it on. It can also be hard to work with since it dries fast... It also clogged my pores.
Bottom line: do not like, would not buy again.

UPDATE: gave this 1 more lippie. This is still not for under the eyes, but it's good to use on those days I have one of those bad break-outs, or the pigmentation I'm left with after. my skin is now drier than it was before, so this doesn't slide off as easily. This still clogs my pores, but it's a nice solution when I'm in desperate need for full, all-day-lasting coverage. A bit strange with the "good for only 6 months after opening", though...

other than the pump bottle, this is my HG concealer. I use it around my mouth/nose were I tend to be a little more red and under my eyes where I get red/puffy and it totally smooths it out.

So far, so good. I have been using this for about a week, and it has covered my dark circles nicely. I have not had any huge zits to cover up recently, so I cannot attest to how it might perform in such a situation. It stays all day long and keeps my dark circles un-dark. However! It is a little dry in texture and can be difficult to blend, so I recommend using a nice moisturizer beforehand. Another thing- what everyone says is true. The pump kind of blows. I carefully wiggle it side to side to get a little out, as it dispenses wayyyyy too much if you just press down on the pump. MAC! Fix the pump! I do love that it has a pump, though, if only it functioned properly. Anyway, it lasts and has nice coverage, so overall it is a wonderful, magical concealer. I would most definitely buy it again. Well, unless I find out it won't help cover up my monstrous nose pimples. Then it's onto something better. But who knows! Give it a go!
EDIT: I have been using this for a while now, and I have to say I would now give it five stars, even though I don't love the pump. I experimented with application methods, and I've found that just using my fingers on primed under eyes leaves the perfect finish. I don't think about my concealer all day now, because it really does stay. I have had a few pimples to take care of, and this handles them quite well. I love pro long wear! My favorite everyday, under eye concealer.

I've been using this concealer for some time now. It's great covering up my acne scars! The small bottle goes a long way! and the pump is a plus. :) I LOVE IT

This product is amazing! I just recently bought it a month ago, and I generally have acne prone/ dry skin, also my skin tone is uneven due to acne scars. I use this every day, and bam. it looks like my skin tone is alll even, and my skin looks so soft and silky. This concealer is the best I have ever used. Honestly, I am done trying others. This bottle might seem small, but it lasts a while. I love MAC, and I LOVE this concealer! xoxo

Been wearing this under my eyes for a couple days now, and am completely blown away. Excellent coverage, and no creasing (or disappearing) even after a full day. I apply with my fingers after applying Revlon ColorStay Foundation, also with my fingers, then dust a bit of a CG Shine Free powder on top. Couldn't believe it yesterday when my fresh face lasted from 7 AM until midnight. Definitely a winner!

I had pretty high hopes for this after reading the reviews on MUA and while I'm not disappointed, I can't say this is my HG concealer! Have this in NC30 which is perfect for some discoloration on my cheeks but just a tad too dark for my dark eye circles and has this almost grey cast against their purple-ish hues. I bought this product mainly for my undereye area so I guess I was a little disappointed. Coverage is excellent though, and I just use my hands to blend. Wear is good, but I'm not sure it's better than my HG concealer, Estee Lauder Double Wear. Packaging *sucks* like many other reviewers have noted. I bought a travel plastic pot so each time I just squeeze a pump's worth of product into the pot and use up what's in there. It's a total waste of time!! I've also tried using this as a foundation/ tinted moisturiser, as suggested by some reviewers. I mix a squirt of this with my regular moisturiser and some highlighting lotion, and the effect is very nice. But I think it gives me whiteheads. All in all, a reasonably good product but I'll be on the look out for something better for my undereye.
