I put that I would buy this again, but maybe only if it was on sale. I got this in a twin pack for a special price. I had never tried it before. At first, I hated this mascara. But after a while I decided to try it again, and after a few tries, I began to like it more. It definitely works much better when applied over a primer (I use Lancome Cils Booster XL) to add some 'bulk' to the formula. I like the brush, it is thin and the bristles are spiky and going in different directions, which help separate lashes. I'm glad that I got past my first impression of this mascara, it's really not bad.
In the beginning I was not pleased with this mascara at all I just bought it because it was for $5.00 at WalMart and I had a Maybelline $1.00 off coupon that was expiring. I really did not like it in the begining. It did not make your lashes all shiny like it claims in the commercials. But I put it aside after the first time I used and didn't touch it for some time. Then I really worked with it and put several coats on and worked it into the lashes and the results were amazing. It lengthened my lashes beyond belief and yet it looked really natural. It coated and seperated my lashes really nicely and I feel in love with the applicator. The packaging is divine and it looks really fancy and expensive. I really recommend this product but you have to work with it, don't give up on it so easily.
This mascara is quite lovely when it comes to lenghtening, but I don't really care about the lack volume as my lashes are pretty full. Unfortunately, unless I use a comb, this makes my lashes extremely spidery. Also, it starts to flake after a few hours.
I really like this product. I just started using it and it makes your lashes long. And the black patent shine is wonderful too. It doesn't really clump or at least it hasn't for me as of yet. I will definitely keep this one around.
it made my average length lashes a little longer, but absolutely no volumizing, so you couldn't even really tell that my lashes looked longer. Stiletto is right, maybe it'll work better for people with thick full lashes, but not for an average length like me. Nice for a more natural look I guess
I am IN LOVE with this product. My lashes are of average thickness and slightly above average length. This mascara adds no volume but lengthens considerably. It applies lightly, doesn't clump, and does what it advertises, which is to make lashes appear longer. This mascara gives me long, fluttery, feminine lashes. When I want a more dramatic look, I put on one coat of CG Great Lash and immediately apply a coat of Lash Stiletto over it and shazam!- volume+length= amazing and highly recommended combo. In short, this mascara is amazing by itself and paired with a voluminizing mascara. Double winner! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
Overall I think Lash Stiletto is a decent mascara. It lengthens and separates (for the most part) which is generally what I look for in a mascara (Note: I have very long and thick lashes to begin with). It's very dramatic so if you want an everyday mascara you should probably skip this one or get it in brown. Some issues I had with it is that it did not separate the lashes in the outer corners of my eyes, which is a problem I usually have with mascaras that I am looking to correct (it's very annoying). I like the brush but like I said its hard to get to the outer corner lashes, which creates my problem. In addition to that, Lash Stiletto flaked on me pretty much everyday and one morning (yes, morning, about an hour or two after I applied the mascara) I noticed a pile of black flakes under my eyes. Not attractive. While overall I like Lash Stiletto and its clever packaging, I figure there are probably better mascaras out there, even in the drug store realm. So, now that my three month trial with LS is over, I'm moving on to Rimmel Sexy Curves. I'll see how that goes...
Clumped like crazy, didn't add any length. I didn't like the brush- it was so long that I couldn't get near the roots of my lashes like I usually do. I will not be buying this again.
i actually tried this at my friends house cause i really wanted my lashes to look like the lashes on the commercial, reallly big and long. it looked nothing like that. it wasnt what i expected, the wand was spikey and hurt everytime i put it through my lashes.
Okay okay, so there are total mixed reviews for this product. I think i've found a way around the "spider" lash issue. So yes this product does give you very long, pin thin lashes. If you already have thick lashes, this would be great for you. If you don't have such thick lashes, do what i do: I use a thickening mascara such as lash blast on the roots and let it dry. Then I apply Lash Stiletto to the mid lash to tips but i do it from behind the lashes instead of applying it to the front. It totally eliminates any clumps left behind by the lash blast and gives you full AND long lashes! I know that seems elaborate, but it's an option. As for this product, I mean it does what it says it'll do. And i personally like the smell. The only thing it doesn't do is add shine, but that's okay with me. I like having it in my mascara collection.
