smells good but doesnt nesseserly work if u have acne. i wouldnt buy it again
I have combination/sensitive/acne-prone skin. This cleanser was okay. It didn't dry out my skin too much, but it also didn't seem to make my skin look better.
Another one of my staples during my secondary school days when I had breakouts. The packaging sucks cos it leaks easily.
This is a pretty good cleanser. I have combination skin with very oily skin on the T-zone and normal skin on the cheeks. It does dry my skin out a bit, but once I apply moisturizer, my skin is back to normal. It hasn't rid of all my acne, but if I stop using it for a while, my skin breaks out like crazy. I used to faithfully use it both night and morning, but I've found that it works better for me if I just use it at night. I like the gel texture, but I'm not crazy about the smell or the color. It feels good on my skin and makes it smoother, although I wish I didn't have to add water to the gel and then lather, which I find quite tedious. I have and will buy again.
So, I used to be a huge fan of this, but then I started getting some dry patches on my chin. So I decided to do some research and according to Paula Begoun, "sodium C14-16 olefin sulfate" (which is a key ingredient in the product) is too irritating for all skin types. I think I'm gonna try a much more gentle cleanser.
p.s. Skin type: combination, acne prone skin, dryer cheeks.
Hmm...well it definitely removed oil and makeup very well from my face. I didn't like the tight dry feeling afterwards and my skin started flaking quite a bit. I suppose a good moisturizer would fix that though. I didn't see any improvement for my acne so I wouldn't repurchase.
This product made my face swell up. After using it for 2 days my skin felt and looked like it was sunburned.
I would never buy this product again.
I really wanted to like thisóa no frills, basic acne cleanser that wasnít too expensive. I really didnít like it all though. My skin didnít feel very clean after using itóit felt kind of rough and dry. I didnít want to use a toner or something after to get the residue off either because I thought that my skin was feeling too stripped already! This stuff just really did not work for me in any capacity.
Well, i have to first say, that I'm defiantly NOT happy with this product. I turned to Neutrogena to help me acne, hopeing it would work, since i've never used a Neutrogena product before. It REALLY dryed out my skin..
once i had like, a TOTALLY harmless sunburn, and it stung so bad, i was like, in tears. cause it dried it out even MORE.
this also did NOTHING for my acne, absloutly NOTHING, even the other crummy products at least HELPED. but this did NOTHING for my combo/oily skin . will NOT repurchase .
I think this product is great for reducing acne. If you use it only on the acne-prone parts of your skin, it won't seem to over-dry your skin overall. I use this during days of breakout, and it tends to clear up my skin in a day or two. I switch to a regular cleanser when my skin is clear.
