I really like this foundation. Like everyone else, I am skeptical of Covergirl products, but it seems that they have a few gems, with this foundation being one of them.
The foundation has a medium texture; not super watery, but not super thick like Revlon Whipped foundation. It comes in a pump bottle, which is great and non-messy. I apply it with either my fingers or a stipling brush. Applying it with the brush works best, and I get a very flawless look from that.
I have dark under eye circles and this foundation almost covers them. However, I have never found a foundation that completely covers them, so I still use a concealer and probably always will.
Other reviewers are right -- I don't think this foundation would work well on dry skin. I have combo/oily skin and I was having problems with my face becoming a bit shiny about halfway through the day. With this foundation, my face does not get oily, period. I set it with a very light dusting of translucent powder, but I have worn it without the powder and it still works fine.
Cons: The only bad things about this foundation are the color choices and the fact that it emphasizes dry areas on the face. The colors seem to be a little darker than expected, and some slight oxidation takes place, but nothing major. Oh, also, I have experienced some transfer from my face to clothes. Be careful with that.
Overall, this foundation is working out well for me and I plan on buying it again.
I have finally found the foundation of my dreams. It does not sweat off and my skin looks terrific. You need to use makeup remover or soap and water and wash it off well at night though.
This is freaking amazing!!! I usually like thick foundations but this is just regular. But it gets rid of my dark circles in a second!!! It's too amazing. I love the pump!!! It's no crap pump and its sanitary! I think it looks less modern then the newer foundations.. The look is boring but the product is so amazing. I look for foundations with medium coverage and thick even if I do have great skin I'm just weird.. But this might be my holy grail foundation. It's competing with my nyc smooth skin which gives me ok coverage but a flawless finish. This has better coverage just not as good of finish.. Overall I love this and I might buy it again
I like this foundation. It's not bad. I love the pump but the foundation is really cakey although it covers really well. I will not buy this again. It's not amazing as I thought it was -2 lippies
I hate this. Hate it so much. Terrible finish, cakes up, looks dry. WORST. FOUNDATION. EVER.
I am an NW20 and the Creamy Natural is a perfect match. The finish is great, the coverage is good, and it lasts till you take it off. Doesn't change color on me, a touch of powder and blush and I look perfect all day. Between this, CS Whipped (Nude) and Visible Lift Smooth Absolute (Nude Beige) I may never stop at the counters at Nordstrom or enter a Sephora again for foundation. All 3 are HG depending on the day. I use fingers with this, stipple the VL, and use my old Prescriptives brush with the CS. Happy Days :-)
This is a really good foundation! I was really skeptical about buying this foundation because it was cover girl and in the past the foundations that they had launched just didn't do the job but this one is amazing! Its full coverage which I love and it dont make you matte or shiny its the perfect consistency!! Go try this product out
I was extremely skeptical about buying this foundation because of my dry skin due to the use of many different acne products. I like a matte finish without looking dry and cakey, and this foundation did just that! My discolored and acne prone skin looks beautiful underneath this foundation, it covered everything extremely well, probably because of how thick it is. I am so impressed with my skin, great job CoverGirl!
This is my second try with this foundation. I initially bought Soft Honey which oxidized horridly and made me look orange. I am NC35-NC37 in MAC and was advised this was the closest dupe. Not true, I exchanged it for Warm Beige which is a better match for my skin-tone. This product oxidized on me, so I went a shade lighter on the warm side (yellow undertone).
Wear, is pretty good however; even on oily skin this does dry skin and will show up flakey on dry patches. Make sure you moisturize before you use this and make sure that you do not overapply this foundation as it will be look cakey and overdone. All in all it's a good value and great wear.
Decent medium-full coverage drugstore foundation. Unfortunately, I could not find a color match. I'm around NC25-30 with beige (slightly more yellow) undertones. I tried Buff Beige, Medium Beige, and Warm Beige. Buff and medium were too light while warm was waay too orangey looking. It just wasn't mean to be. Disappointing. Another thing..this stuff gets gross quickly. As in cakey. Careful with application! I tried fingers, RT expert face brush, kabuki brush, flat top..I couldn't find a way to get this stuff to blend.
I don't think this is better than MUFE Mat Velvet or MAC Pro Long Wear - things I have heard this product compared to.
Mat Velvet is much more natural looking/full coverage/easy to blend and has better color selection by far.
Pro Long Wear is easier to blend as well and gives a bit more coverage. It can easily be built up in coverage while 3 in 1 cannot.
I found that the 3 in 1 accentuated every single pore or dry spot even with a good moisturizer underneath.
I would honestly choose Revlon Colorstay over this. Sorry bout it.
This is an excellent drugstore foundation for oily/combination and non-sensitive skin types. But for those of us with dry and/or sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend it. I have sensitive/acne prone/combo skin that tends to react to drugstore brand foundations. I was really excited to try this foundation due to all the positive reviews, and I have been looking for a full coverage foundation. I love the packaging, first of all - the pump is something every foundation should come with imo. The product itself gives very good coverage (I would say 85-90%) but I still would use a concealer with it for problem areas. The finish is gorgeous on my skin, giving my acne-scarred, hyper pigmented skin nearly flawless coverage. I was really in love with the finish of this foundation, it is like a liquid to powder formula (you can see why this would not work well for dry skin). My T-zone never got oily at all and the foundation stayed in place until I took it off. There was little to no transfer as well. However, my skin became irritated almost immediately - it was itchy and burned slightly. I wore it a couple of times to make sure I wasn't imagining it and got the same result each time :( I took off this foundation last night and my skin is still irritated today. It didn't break me out, though, which is good. I'm so bummed because this foundation would have been HG for me if not for my sensitive skin. But, it is wonderful for oil control and has great lasting power and a beautiful finish, so I would still recommend it to people with non-sensitive and combo to oily skin.
This is some fantastic foundation. I used Covergirl Clean and I thought it was pretty good but it wasn't amazing. I saw that this was new so I wanted to try it out by all the good reviews. It's fantastic. It's definitely on my top list of foundations because it's amazing. I can also save a few dollars buying it as well. The pump makes it even better! I will most definitely buy this again because of how nice it makes my skin look. It's not cakey and it doesn't make me look like an oompa loompa throughout the day. It's a must buy!
