Sadly disappointed in this product. I had read such good reviews so when it came time to purchase a new black eyeliner, I decided to try Zero. The pencil does "glide" on as promised, but the trade-off to that is its incredible softness, which causes the point to become dull and flat extremely quickly. This requires constant sharpening to keep a point at the tip and alot of product gets wasted in the trash can. Secondly, this pencil transfers to the lids, something we are lead to believe in UD's advertising will not happen. Lots of smudging going on here. And finally, it definitely doesn't last as long as UD implies. I have had drug store liners that had better staying power than this one. I love UD and will continue to buy their other products, but I will definitely not be repurchasing this when its done.
I can't give a very fair review I am afraid, like some previous ladies this burned the heck out of my eye! I only use pencil on the waterline, and I have never had any sensitive reactions to cosmetics. Since it hurt so bad I wiped it right off thus can't say much about how long it lasts or much else. My first higher end liner and I am so bummed. Well, I guess it actually works out, I can stick to cheaper liners =)
This is my HG eyeliner! The only time I will forego it is if money is tight, but believe me, I use this product down to the very bitter end--until it's a teeny, tiny, cannot-even-hold-it-in-your-fingers stump. It glides on beautifully, does not tug on my eyes, does not sting my eyes even when I accidentally get some in my eyes or stab myself in the eye with the pencil. It will smudge at first if not careful, but I have to go back and touchup and redo so much anyway, it is not something that bothers me. I do find that once dry thought it stays all day and then some. I love this eyeliner. This is the eyeliner that actually got me to not just like but LOVE eyeliner. Only lack of money would prevent me from using this product, but I will typically do whatever I can to get it. Another plus even though it's pricey it lasts a long, long time!
I bought this eyeliner on my trip to NYC. I've heard a lot of good reviews for this product as one of the best eyeliner pencil out there. I bought Zero, Baked, and Binge. Honestly, Zero (black) does not work for me at all. Yes, it glides on easily but within 1 hour after application it gives me racoon eyes :(. It smudges to my lower lashline like hell. I thought i wasted so much money on those 3 eyeliners, but baked and binge have good staying power. I do not like Zero at all. If you have oily eyelids and looking for black pencil eyeliner, go for MAC Powerpoint eyepencil in Engraved instead of this one. The only black pencil eyeliner that doesn't smudge on me is MAC engraved. http://aboutagirl.onsugar.com/

The Basics/Good:
I love the smoothness and deep black I got from this pencil - it's absolutely beautiful and super easy to apply. Lasts ALL day. Vegan and cruelty-free, which is a big deal to me (the thought of putting mystery dead animal products on my face grosses me out).
The Basics/Bad:
I tend to sharpen the pencil just enough to use it because if I always sharpened to a tiny tiny point, the pencil would be gone before I knew it (tip gets blunt fast because of the soft consistency). The cap falls off the butt end of the pencil, but that's not a big deal. Expensive.
The Experience:
This liner does stay all day with a small window of smudgeability immediately after application, just as it is described. I did experience a stinging sensation when applied to my lower waterline, even though it wasn't in close enough to touch my eye. The sting went away after about 15 minutes, and I haven't used it on my waterline again, but maybe I'll give that another shot another time. The black color looked good on the waterline and stayed about half the day.
Conclusion:
I will purchase this again because of the ease of application, deep color, and because it is vegan and cruelty-free. If it were not vegan/cruelty-free, however, I would not pay this much for it, as it is ridiculously expensive.
Best eyeliner I've used so far. I do have semi-oily lids, so whenever I use this, I pair it with Urban Decay's primer potion. It blends perfectly and lasts all day without smudging.
More often though, I wear this liner smudged, just because I like the smoky effect better than a precise line. As soon as you smudge the liner, it's set for the day. I have to say, if you're looking for a precise line that won't budge...this might not be the liner for you. This is a very SOFT and creamy pencil.
I got this eyeliner in a set. I always wanted to try this since i heard it was very good, but the price was too expensive. I am glad that i did not pay full price for this since i really dislike it. It does not last on my waterline at all, plus it smudges on my lower lashline after about 30 minutes or less, and that never happens with most eyeliners i try. It is also not that black. I had to layer it up a lot just to keep it from looking like a soft black. Yes, it is soft, but then you are going through the pencil eyeliner very fast, and since it is so expensive, it is not worth it. There are many other eyeliners out there. If you like gel eyeliner, Wet and wild makes one that is amazing and only $3.99.
I would love it if this were an automatic pencil - in this day and age, there is no need for dealing with sharpeners.
Otherwise, it's long lasting, creamy, doesn't tug at the eye - a truly outstanding liner.
This has to be the longest wearing eyeliner i'v ever tried! I love it, it does wear down pretty fast but i think that's just because the formula is so soft, this is the only eyeliner i have that actually lasts on my waterline, i got this in a set with a few other colors, and i think those are a pretty good deal, otherwise it's pretty expensive. I wasnt sure if it was going to live up to the hype, but i think it does. It for some reason is a little tricky to apply to my top lashline, again im guessing because its so soft, i probably just have to get used to it. I figured it was gonna be impossible to remove, but it came off pretty easy with a little eye makeup remover.
