Bought this in NC20 but is so yellow toned on me, ok for blemishes but undereyes draws attention to any fine lines, its good value and lasts for ages but not for me
Great concealer, I use NW20. My skin is quite fair and I use NW15 for foundation. In the store I tried NW15 for the concealer and it was too light, NW20 is perfect for me. It covers up very well and it still looks great after a day of work.
Amazing product. I use this everyday. NW20 undereyes and NC20 for the face. Covers anything and everything you want covered. Friends always compliment my ability take make my skin look FLAWLESS and I owe it all to this concealer and a light dusting of powder to set. I am afraid to try most other brands because this is reasonably priced and couldn't work any better. Plus, there are a zillion shades so there is a perfect match for everyone. I am of Italian and British decent with dark auburn hair so needless to say my colouring is very strange :) :) VERY Fair with Yellow undertones and the occasional blemish, and some redness. This covers amazingly and blends seemlessly. MAC is for makeup artists and perfect skin is the most important step so it's no wonder they made such a great product. PLUS MAC is Canadian so it's actually cheaper here than in the U.S.!!
I use this as an undereye concealer and on areas of minor redness on my face. It makes my eyes look more alive! The formula is so light, it is almost impossible to overapply so it never looks cakey. I prefer the tube packaging to the pan formula of Studio Finish as it is more hygienic. I should add that I don't have particularly bad dark circles so if you are looking for a heavy coverage undereye concealer, give this one a miss. Good value too as you only need a tiny amount so the tube lasts for ages.
i've been using this concealer for almost five years now and it's just divine. there was a time i tried switching to a shu uemura concealer, but it didn't have the same, smooth consistency as the mac select cover-up. this tiny tube goes a long, long way and has been with me through countless sleepless nights and breakout days.
there was a time though when the plastic packaging fell apart (the whole tip fell off) but just to show how good the product is, i rushed off to get myself another one. :)
I like this a lot better than the MAC concealer pencil that I've been using. I love the convenience for travel and application of the pencil, but when I use it around my eyes, it seems to accentuate dryness or flakiness that I don't even have!
Enter Select Cover-Up. This is a nice fluid concealer. I use it with the MAC 252 eye brush to blend onto the tops of my cheeks as well as around my eyes to even out color since I don't like to wear foundation.
I do get annoyed with the wastefulness of the squeezy tube, but there seems to be a bunch in the tube, so I probably won't run out any time soon.
It's a great product.. but when i put it over my oily spots or pimple areas, it feels like it's clogging up my pores-- in other words, it feels sort of thick. It covers up extremely well, but when I take off my makeup, the areas that were covered with this concealer seem to be getting worse. Those areas appear to be more oily, or the pimple gets bigger. But it does cover extremely well.
I'm absolutely gutted that they've discontinued the pink cover-up. I have the most miniscule amount left in my kit and once it's gone, it's gone for good.
A tiny amount mixed in with foundation & a stiffer concealer does wonders in covering up dark circles.
As discovered on a recent job, the pink mixed in with foundation also paled the make-up down without it looking full-on white. A little dot of this goes a long way.
There's still the peach to try from the pro stores, hopefully it'll work as well.
I got this for free from a friend who bought it while she lived in Spain. Now that she's out of the sun these days, the colour (NW25) didn't suit her anymore, but it's my exact match. Score! I like it for my under-eye and for the red spots on my cheeks, but nowhere else. Basically it works well on dry patches, but on any slightly oily parts (nose, below lips) it becomes goopy, gooey and generally unpleasant. I wish it worked for my greasy nose, but it's just not that good.
I'm not that fond of this concealer. I find it doesn't cover blemishes all that well. I also don't like the packaging...it's hard to control the amount that comes out.
