This is the best beauty buy that there is! I have literally been through at least 6 of these already and just can't get enough. I am super picky when it comes to powders and usually have to go for the pricier brands, but this one works just as well, if not better than the department store powders. It's smooth and never makes my skin too dry. The lightest shade is also perfect for my skin tone so there's extra love there! For $4.00, you can't go wrong with this drugstore buy!
NOTE: The reason I gave the packaging quality a 2 is because the lid can easily come off if you don't twist it all the way. It also doesn't come with an applicator, which doesn't bother me, but I know some women like to carry their powder with them.
OMG! this is one of two favorite powder & or pressed powder, i like having loose powder and a pressed powder for diff purposes. rimmel stay matte pressed powder in translucent to me is such a good match for my skin. it doesnt look to white/yellow/orange, just perfect! (my HG is maybelline dream matte pressed powder but either one is fan-flippin-tastic) this powder is more nuetral toned and i have extremely pale pink toned skin and it still looks great! i think its bc the neutral tone helps to tones down overdone blush & the redness in my face..i have used almost 2 of these powders already & thats saying alot bc i rarely ever repurchase many items bc ill have something else to use but i love it so ill def buy again & again! it provides a great finish to my face. it does say matte but its not too matte that it will look crazy/powdery/cakey, its more of a natural finish. its my go to setting powder for after i did up my whole face and i want to set it all. now, i do have extremely dry skin and typically b4 id have to skip the powder step bc it make my dry patchs look crazy but this powder doesnt do that, its affordable and it does keep my makeup in place or from disappearing, looks great. will work for touch ups too! def try it, if u like maybelline dream powder, i think this is almost an exact dupe, only reason i use mabeline more is bc its a bit lighter, only reason but id pick rimmel over it somedays so it depends on the day! def worth it and i love it to pan! hehe HG status for me bc ill keep buying & dont wanna go w/out! its around $3-$4 depending on where u buy it or sales & location, try to find the cheapst price and u can always return it if ur store allows, i love this powder! love love love it!!
I have gone through 2 of these so far, and I love them. I have it in translucent, and use it with a large powder brush to mattify my face. If you use it with a kabuki brush, it's a fantastic dupe for MAC's mineralized skin finish natural. It doesn't come in a lot of shades (i think only 3 or 4), but if you can find one that matches you, go for it. The only draw back is the really cheap packaging. but other than that, it is fantastic.
I can't tell you how much I hated this enough! First of all, the compact is awful and cheap, but I bought it looking to save a few bucks. The first day I tried it with high hopes and an hour into my work day I looked spotchy. Thinking that perhaps I hadn't applied enough to keep my face matte, I tried again with a slightly heavier hand the next day. Yuck! I was so cakey :( I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with any oily parts on their face. Possibly dry-skinned women would have better luck? Also, I bought in the lightest shade next to translucent and it was way too dark for anyone who isn't "tan".
This is an affordable dupe for Mac MSF natural, and I own it in the lightest shade. Always had been a MSF girl, so I was reluctant to step out and try more pressed powders - I bought this along with Dream Matte from Maybelline and this is my most definite favorite. I have not been into foundations because it is summer in Australia and I just wanted to let my skin breath, so I have been loving the effect of this powder on its own :) It gives a nice, slight and natural coverage - which is great for young people with no real skin concerns. I also think it has a pleasant smell, though I don't think much of the cheap packaging. Will purchase again.
Love this stuff! It's extremely affordable and goes on smoothly. It lasts longer than most products on my oily/combo skin. The only downside is the cheesy packaging...
I've always had great experience with Rimmel stuff. And by great experience i mean, no clogged pores or breakouts etc. I bought this in transparent so i'm perfectly aware that it won't cover any imperfections or flaws. I just wanted a colorless product that controls oil and doesn't break me out. Before I was using MAC Blot powder (which i loved....until it started clogging my pores) *sniff* This product really does keep my face from looking like an oil slick. I used this once and was at a party til the wee morning and my face remained matte and oil free!! Yes, the lid isn't very secure but i just use a hair tie and it stays in place very well. The smell is very nice. it has a nice pleasant rose scent, very freshing actually! I <3 it! Price is also very reasonable. I got mine for $7CDN, but i'm sure prices may varies. I don't use a puff to apply this, but rather a brush. works very well and will definitely repurchase if i ever run out which i doubt (14g).
UPDATE - This stuff is great! i use a little under my eyes to set my undereye concealer and it does a great job preventing my eyeliner from smudging throughout the day! I've tried primers and other powders and nothing worked...finally i tried this! and voila!!!! I <3 <3 <3 this stuff!!
omg. best powder i have used so far. i actually got this because it was the cheapest powder at SDM, and i read lots of good reviews on it. no matter how much i try to put on, it just doesnt get cakey! amazing.
i even have MUFE HD powder, and its not as great as this. actually MUFE HD powder doesnt even do much for me.
this powder is great for mattifying your face completely, yet still looks very natural. and IT DOESNT GET CAKEY!!! :D
i apply it with my MUFE kabuki. :)
i think it comes in only like, 5 shades, but maybe they made more by now. i have the transparent one, but it actually does lighten my skin just a bit.
looks FLAWLESS over MUFE hd foundation.
i took off one lipstick because the packaging is the only problem with it. i swear. the worst packaging everrrr. its pressed very loosely, and is huge, and the plastic cover just falls off. i put this in my backpack, and it broke.
fortunately though, i just repressed it into an empty MAC compact i had around. LOL. now it looks like i have a MAC powder :3
The products does what it promises - keep the skin matte.
It works very well, but it tends to flake my skin, and i have breakouts of acne after use.
That is why i would not buy again.
This is such an amazing pressed powder. I usually buy a mineral powder that is way more than this, and it is better quality. However, I think I like this even more! The packaging is nice and simple. Not too bulky. The product applies well and really gives a nice matte look and really helps control oily skin. I will be buying this again after I run out!
