I really like the concept and the size of these. The grey one dried out entirely too fast, but I used the brown one quite a bit. I didn't use it to make crisp lines (they are just too watered down for me to do that) but I did use them to dot in between my lashes for tight lining.
It's ok. I prefer brown eyeliner on myself but their brown was really light brown so I got black brown which I find to be a good color. It is kind of watery or something because I have to go over the line a few times to get it as dark and full as I want also, don't even bother trying to put this on if your eyelids are sweaty or anything because it won't go on. So that's really my only complaint, the formula leaves something to be desired but I can't find a felt tip liquid waterproof eyeliner for less than $15 at wal mart or shoppers so I use this when I need waterproof and I use loreal eyeliner when I don't because the formula is much better.
this eyeliner is just ideal! i wuld hav given it a better rating but it dried out rlllyyyy fast nd for whatever reason it doesnt work over eyeshadow (which was a huge bummer for me!) i love how small nd convenient it is plus it is completely smudge-proof!! a good buy if u intend on wearing it without shadow.
I've bought this eyeliner for 4 years now and can't imagine going back to the sloppy, messy eyeliners i used for several years. This stuff goes on the easiest of any liquid/gel liner i've ever used. The tip will dry out if it is not used on a daily basis- for everyday liner this stuff is AWESOME. So easy to apply, even easy to reapply while out and about if need be- but you usually wouldn't have to!
I LOVE this eyeliner!!! The black is a very intense color, the felt tip makes application easy. I never get "racoon" eyes with this eyeliner, which is common for me with other eyeliners. Also has nice staying power, I love the size too. The only con is that it does not last quite as long as I would like, but I find that is common with eyeliners that have the felt tip. I have rebought this product quite a few times.
When I originally found this product about a year ago, I was in heaven! Pencils had always rubbed off and gave me racoon eyes. When I found this affordable and easy to use pen, it never smudged through hot summer days/nights. I was very happy. Until recently, A couple months ago I went and bought a new pen and noticed they had changed the packaging. No big deal. Until I got it home and realized they'd changed the formula as well! It lasted about 1/3 the amount of time. It dried out, and the lines were harder to control and started feathering. I am super disappointed and no longer am purchasing this product! In this case, you get what you pay for. I am switching to Sephora's Kat Von D Tattoo Liner pen in Trooper (on account of the reviews it's received on makeupalley)
not so much of an eyeliner for me. the main problem for me is that most liquid eyeliners come off when i curl my lashes with an eyelash curler even after i let it it dry and they tend to fade through out the day after i reapply. also it's not as black as i would like it to be i have to reapply over and over to get a more pigmented black line. i would not repurchase. still searching for my HG liquid liner
I didn't know whether to rate this product a 2 or a 3. I have this liner in three shades: Smoke, Brown & Black Brown. What I like about this liner is that the tube is very short, therefore it's much easier to line your eyes with precision rather than using a longer tube. The felt tip on it is pretty good. It's soft and easy to work with. I like that the felt tip stays fairly wet with product.. I've had these for months now and despite I don't use them daily - still, none of the tips are dried out. My main gripe is that lasting power is terrible. Even on top of primed eyeshadow, this stuff fades completely within a couple of hours. Also, the shade "Smoke" is terrible. It's not really a charcoal gray like I figured i'd be.. it's like a weird blue/gray that does not flatter my eyes at all. Also, it's extremely watery and not pigmented enough that it's difficult to line your eyes. The best colors to look into are probably black and black brown. Still though, I won't repurchase because they just don't last. continued >>
This isn't too bad. It creates a nice fluid black line and doesn't look shiny on my skin, but my problem with it is that it dries out super quickly! I think I got about a week and a half's use out of this before the felt tip dried up. A bit of a waste really considering it's not exactly 'cheap' where I live. Didn't smudge on my lids even though they are quite oily. Would not re-buy again.
I cannot believe the reviews I am reading on this product. I LOVE this stuff. I have purchased this product several times and will not change to something else. I was running out and was at the mall, bought Lancome long wear eyeliner (Paid $27) and HATED it compared to this stuff. It's easy to use for people who don't know how to use liquid eyeliner, it lasts all day and it doesn't take ajax and a brillo pad to take it off at night. Will never use any other eyeliner other than this stuff. It's great!
