Shampoo bars really are an amazing thing. They last forever, and I feel like I don't waste product like I do when I squeeze product out of a bottle. Three or four swipes on my wet roots and I get a rich lather that is more than enough to clean my hair. I gave it a four instead of a five because it is a little drying, but I only use it on my roots so that's not a problem. Also, I don't wash my hair as often anymore.
As for the smell, there isn't much I can say about Karma. I love it, but some people may not. It's just that kind of smell. I can't really smell it after I use conditioner, so the scent is not that important. In the future, I might try another one of the shampoo bars, they are just so handy. Although they are initially expensive, it's worth it.

Great smell!! Gets my hair super clean with ease. I love the quality and economic practically of these bars. I'll never go back to regular shampoo! I love the feeling of super clean hair. It does dry my hair out a little though, so I recommend conditioning after you use it.

When I first tried the Lush shampoo bars, I didn't think I would like them, though I was intrigued with the idea (and the fact that it brought back funny memories of the stories my father would tell of his bachelor days, when he used a bar of soap as shampoo - terrible, I know!). After trying and loving the blonde bar and the seanik, I tried this one and love it!! I was a bit scared to try it because of the patchouli (I am not normally a fan of anything patchouli) BUT rest assured, this smells great, a little sweet, citrusy and incensey - no dirty hippie here. It lathers up great, but is not stripping of the hair, and doesn't upset my sensitive scalp at all - in fact it leaves it soothed. I have colored hair, and this is fine with that too. I use conditioner with it, but I use conditioner with all shampoos, and I tend to need less conditioner with this one since it's a bit moisturizing. When I use it, I leave it in the top part of my shampoo tin to dry so it won't get stuck in the bottom (which is a big pain to get out if it gets stuck in the small bottom compartment). Then, when it's dry, I put it back together again and all is well. I really like this, I like the shampoo bar concept, it's great for traveling, lasts forever, saves the environment - plus the smell lingers in your hair!!

Nice! It smells so good. Overall it creates nice suds without over drying my hair, making it bouncy and soft. I like it. Will see how it goes...
Beautiful smell! I love having this smell on me all day after washing my hair - I wish they made a Karma conditioner too!
- Deep cleanses yet doesn't make my scalp dry or irritated
- Makes my hair silky, not matted or difficult to comb
- Price is great for how long the bar lasts, even with almost everyday use

I really didn't like the Karma scent in my 'early' Lush years but i guess the scent had to grow on me. Still if your not that fond of the Karma soap i think that the Shampoo Bar scent is just a bit lighter and very nice in your hair.
I love how this bar really detangles my hair and leaves it soft, shinny and scented. I have a sensitive scalp sometimes dandruff but most of the time dry and a bit itchy. I found this product to be very soft to my scalp and made it less dry.

I heart all things Karma! This was the first solid shampoo I purchased and after trying others it's the only one I'll use from now on. It doesn't get soft and fall apart like some of the others. My hair looks great after using, and it appears to help control my uber oily scalp. Doesn't strip my hair color either. Goodbye forever liquid shampoos!
Update: While I love everything about this shampoo, including the fact that it seemed to help control my oiliness, I believe it was stripping my color. As much as I didn't want to go back to other shampoos, it is far more important that my grays stay covered. :)

Tried this one because the Blonde was causing my hair to be too dry and matted.
As soon as i opened the packet, i knew i was onto a winner- the smell was just plain gorgeous! Bright and sweet, i couldnt even try to describe it but i was instantly in love. I tried it on my hair and was amazed by the heaps of lather i got from just a few swipes across my head!
After i washed it out my hair had that "squeaky" feeling that all Lush shampoo bars seem to give you, but my brush went straight through my hair- wonderful!
This shampoo is all Pro's and NO Con's. Seriously. If you've never used a solid shampoo bar before, this is a good place to start!

I haven't actually bought this yet. My friend had it and i slept over and used it and, well, my hair looked amazing. I'm part black, part irish, so my hair is thick and really wavy with some curls. The only problem is that it does need to be used with a conditioner of some sort. It seems like a great idea for going to hotels and whatnots, where there is terrible shampoos and no conditioner :( . These shampoo pucks take up no space at all and according to my friend lasts forever. This is the first Lush shampoo i've liked (curly wurlys cocunut wasn't good with my thick hair) , and the only puck i've tried so far. Next time I go to Lush, I'm buying this.

Generally I use this shampoo bar before going out on the weekends for loverly Karma scented tresses...but, the bar in and of itself isn't a bad shampoo, it just isn't nearly as moisturizing as Curly Wurly or Hybrid (which I use when taking a Bb break). All in all use it for great smelling hair, not moisturized hair.
