This is my "go to" mascara. It's the only mascara I ALWAYS have in stock I usually have an option 2 for a mascara I'm testing out to see if I like it better but can never find anything that truly measures up the effect that this product gives me. While it doesn't look like I'm wearing falsies it does create a dramatic and almost smoked out eye look on my lashes. Very black, it volumizes, and lengthens my lashes. The formula is a little wet and hard to work with if you don't wipe off the excess before applying but I enjoy the overall finished look it gives. I've been on the hunt for something better for 1 year now but have yet to find anything I like better.

I bought this after seeing it on a girl in public and having to stop her to ask what she was using, hah. I really like it, the green and pink mascara is still my favorite, but I mix it up with this one. No complaints, it's a great product.

Maybelline has some extreme commercials most do not live up to my high and mighty standards. BUT I have to give a hand to maybelline for this product.

This Mascara comes in a purple tube with black writing upon it. It has a spoon brush with odly spaced bristles. I dislike the amount of product it delivers onto the brush. It delivers so much to the point if you were to directly apply it straight from the tube without blotting the brush onto a paper towel, You would have some gooey gunky black lashes.


I can not stress this enough. Please blot off excese product onto a paper towel or something! With doing this it will help the brush do it's job by separating and volumizing your lashes without the goop in the way.Plus after applying this I use my Maybelline Full & Soft mascara to define and separate my lashes even more for a cleaner look.


This mascara does hold a curl, Volumize, and lengthen! Plus the color pay off is a deep rich black. BUT.. (Isn't there always a but?) This is a non-waterproof mascara. So i cant say how the waterproof version works. This mascara does smudge, no flaking.. But smudging is even worse in my book. After about 4 hours you can start to look like a drug addict with black shadows under your eyes. NO OFFENSE ;) continued >>

I have thin light brown lashes to the point that for a while I wore fake lashes daily. Fast forward to today and my lashes have completely regrown, but i'm was still looking for a mascara that gave me some drama which when you have lashes like mine, is a tall order. After trying multiple mascaras from brand to drug store I happen to pick this up one day on sale. I.am.in.love. This gives me long natural dark lashes with a perfect amount of drama for daily wear with no clumping, I was very impressed. I've never noticed a smell while applying it, but I just stuck the tube up to my nose yes there is a smell, but again before reading other reviews I didn't even notice it. I'm on my second tube and I'll be buying it again, It feels so nice to have long dark lashes <3 continued >>

Worst experience with mascara ever. I curled my lashes first to get my best possible results, but it just didnt keep the curl.Lashed would clump together also. The worst part was after just a few hours of wear, I ended up with terrible raccoon eye. So embarrasing.I used it for a month just to give it a fair try. Not happy with this product.

I have the WP version. This gives me the most amazing lashes ever! Thickens and lengthens better than any mascara including Japanese ones! It just defines my lashes and fans them out! It is so amazing that I don't even need eyeliner or eyeshadow to define my eyes for my everyday look! That's how amazing this mascara is! It holds my curl well. Smudge proof ability comparable to Japanese mascaras too.. Try this out!

Let me start in a positive note, I hate writing bad reviews, I love the Original Maybelline Falsies and the Falsies Flared, I hate this stuff. It's like tar. It's so hard to remove, almost like water proof mascara, but it's -not- water proof mascara. It made my lashes stick together and did nothing for lengthening or volume. All it really did was get on my eye lids and give me racoon eyes. Normally with mascara I would just suck it up and finish the bottle because it’s just mascara, but this was actually so bad that after two weeks I got so frustrated that I threw it out and went a day or two without until I got around to going to the grocery store. Which was probably a good thing; because it took about that long for the last of it to wash off. Do yourself a favor and buy any other Falsies mascara. Or any other Maybelline mascara.

This mascara is EXTREME. It can make your short light barely-there lashes look incredibly dark and really long. It does work if you are looking for a very dramatic effect-people always ask me if my eyelashes are fake when I use this! But it also tends to make them look a bit spidery. And it clumps your lashes together, It provides NO VOLUME (it just takes lashes and clumps them into black wads). I just gives length and blackness. Overall, I think this mascara looks weird on me, for everyday wear, bc it is just too dramatic and fake and weird looking. It may look good on some people, but it is just too dramatic for me and make my lashes look like spider legs. However, I do like to use it on my bottom lashes because it is so black that it makes them really stand out. beware though it smudges a bit

I'm constantly surprised by reviewers on here and other sites who claim that this product is junk. I've used countless mascaras, spending who knows how much on them, and this is the only one I've come back to again and again.

Granted, you can't use it exactly like every other mascara. It is a different formula, and the spoon brush has to be used differently. However, the length and curl is incomparable to any mascara in it's price range, and can compete with even the top-notch, more expensive ones I've tried.

I have long-ish eyelashes, but they go light on the ends and have very little curl. Falsies fixes both problems in an astoundingly easy and beautiful way. I don't even feel the need to wear eye liner on a daily basis, so long as I've put this on.

You do need to be careful; over-coating will lead to flaking, and it has to be layered while the first coat hasn't dried. But, if you play around with it and figure out how it works, you'll likely discover what a miracle it is.

This mascara is horrid. I apply exactly how it says, and the uneven brissles make my eyelashes SO clumpy and they look like spider legs! They're so clumped it looks like i only have 5 eyelashes ! not good. would not recommend or buy again. I was better off with loreal 3d volume!
