This is my favourite fake tan.
I actually doubt I'll buy most other brands again as they're just a waste of ridiculous amounts of money in my opinion. Think of all the saved money that could be being spent on makeup or clothes!
St Moriz comes in 3 varieties in my local store - regular spray, regular mousse or dark mousse. I've heard there's a dark spray but I've never seen it.
I use the 'dark' mousse, and it is an awesome colour on me. Glowing bronze/brown as if I've been on holiday. (I am around an NC25-30 for reference).
I was worried as the product was so cheap I might end up with a 'tangoed' orange effect - but none at all! Apparently green is added to counteract the orange - similar to the green bases of more expensive fake tans.
It only costs £2.99. Absolute bargain, seeing as my last bottle of Fake Bake was over £30! On top of that, you get 200ml - Fake Bake only give 150ml.
When its that cheap - you can afford to top up when/if you need/want to.
I still had a noticeable tan after 5 days, however it faded a little after I used a body scrub - obviously this is likely to happen after exfoliating but I was surprised at how much of a tan remained - in a good way of course!
Just reapplied and its back to its glow from day 1.
Another bonus is that there isn't a 4 - 6 hour development time. St Moriz is pretty much instant (full colour after 3 - 5 mins).
The packaging is very St Tropez-eque, as it is basically being marketed as a dupe. I like the pump on the mousse bottle, it isn't flimsy and allows you to dispense the exact amount you want. I can't comment on the spray as I haven't tried it, but I'll most likely get it to try out.
If you want to try this tanner, just get it. You probably won't regret it, and even if you do - it was only £2.99!
Will definitely continue to buy.
i love this product, it tans amazing on my body, i dont use on my face as i dont have perfect skin and it would probably make dark blots all over, however, the one thing i really dont like about the fake tan is it smells horrible, its too strong, even my boyfriend hates the smell and moans about it when i decide to wear, but if i have a shower it mostly comes off so i cant win. Also when ive got out of the shower, or shaved it makes dark spots on my legs where the hair has been shaved, and under my arms and bikini line. if anybody could give me suggestions on how to improve the smell and the dark spots on my legs please let me know to jessica.arnold14@gmail.com
Thank you ! :)
I have been using this all summer and the last bottle I have gotten is the dark version. Even better than the original. This stuff is the biz. lovely natural tan no streaks and a cinch to apply. I always hated the hassle of fake tan but with this i use it about twice a week. Daily moisturising helps it last and it fades fairly well too. Exfoliate before you apply a new layer and make sure you moisturise hands, feet, knees, face and elbows just before applying. Only place it doesnt go on too well on me is my feet for some reason. Everywhere else looks great even my hands. Get it. its cheap as chips too.

Normally where self-tan is concerned I am a retard. I bought this as it was £2.99 in Savers, and WOW! It smells clean rather than self-tanny (?!) and it is a smooth tinted mousse. I use it at night after I have scrubbed and shaved, and in the morning I have a healthy, natural looking tan.
I have recommended it to friends who are St. Tropes gals and they love it too! Seriously, give it a go, at the price it is you have nothing to lose!
I have been using this product all summer with great success, and finally decided to write a review. I am pale (NW20, for reference) and most tanners tend to streak like crazy on my pale, somewhat dry skin.
I purchased 6 bottles of the St. Moriz via ebay (around $5 apiece, IIRC) and asked advice from several of the reviewers here about application. Definitely exfoliate beforehand for more even coverage. And wear gloves. The consistency is that of a liquid-y mousse, and it's a rather dark, golden-muddy color. I use it at night and have had no problems with it staining pajamas or sheets. When you rinse off in the shower in the a.m., you are left with a believable wash of color. Not too dark, no orange. Like other self tanners it takes some practice applying, and you do need to be especially careful near the feet, knees, ankles, elbows so that the color does not "pool" and look like a dirty smudge. It has a pleasant smell and is not sticky once it dries. I find that using it every other night or so is just enough to keep a healthy looking glow. A little product goes a long way. I have not yet finished 2 of the 6 bottles I purchased. I have seen this compared to St. Tropez (which I have not tried) and this is a fraction of the price.
I have sensitive skin and have not had any problem with this, even on my face. I highly recommend this product.

This is a HG for me.
I am an N10, and tanning can be a daunting thought. It was my cousin who recommeneded this to me. She is crazy about tanning - never seen without that bronze glow. She said, "It's the exact same as St Tropez, but a fraction of the price!"... Normally I wouldn't believe someone that something worked as well as a trusted brand such as St Tropez, but since it was her, I was a believer.
So, off I went - to Semi-Chem, a discount chemist in the UK where they sell this gem for £2.99, and it's a A LOT of product. I also bought the ''Tantastic'' tanning mit there too. I am unsure of how much I paid, but it was not expensive. The glove is reallt good too, but that's not what I am reviewing - but if you are going to apply a self tanner such as St Moriz, then I do urge you to buy one.
After I showered, exfoliated and moisturized, it was time to apply. When I first pumped the product out, it was a dark mousse like consistancy. I like the fact that it is dark because then you can see where you are applying it. It spreads far and you don't need a huge amount. Although you may want to top up at the end if you have missed anything.
Initially I ''dotted'' the product over my body and then blended with the mitt. The only problem I have is that this stains hands, and I wish I had actually bought two mitts, so that one of my hands wasn't completely brown. But a little soap powder (yes, the stuff you wash your clothes in) takes it off very easily. A trick my mumma showed me ;)!
It only took me about 20 minutes to apply to my whole body. I got my sister to do my back where I couldn't reach. And then I went to bed.
My boyfriend made fun of me because it looked very odd at this moment, but the magic is when you wash it off in the shower.
The only downside to this is that although the smell isn't as bad as most self tanners, it was irritating me when I was trying to sleep... All I could smell was the St Moriz as I was drifting off.
In the morning I wash it off. It left a very natural glowing tan that suited me well, for one being so fair... Or should I just say white.
Other girls who are not as pale as my N10 may want to try the "St Moriz Dark". But I can see anyone being satisfied up to an NC30. Anyone above should try the St Moriz Dark.
I am very happy with the results of this product. And the application was fool proof, for a self tan virgin like me. Or I was before this stuff converted me!

This is a good tanning product. It's a really good price too. It's easy enough to apply and there is alot of product in the bottle. It says on the front of the bottle that it is instant, but on the back it says you should leave it 4-6 hours to develop. This product works best if you apply it the night before, and have a shower in the morning, as I think it can make you look a little dirty. It doesn't go streaky when fully applied, but it can while you are applying it. However, I noticed the bottle, which is a pump, got a little leaky at the top. It looks really nice in the end. It gives a nice sun kissed glow.
One of the worst self-tanners I have tried! I'm an NC25 with natural golden tones so I find that most tanners do not appear orangey on me. However St Moriz does indeed turn me orange...how people say this is a completely brown tanner is beyond me, on me it's probably 30% brown and 70% orange. 1 coat does not leave me that dark (brings me up to about NC27) but if I use 2 then I just turn radioactive orange so there is no medium here. The mousse formula is very easy to apply with a tan mitt but it's so drying...my skin was always left feeling dry if I used this often, no matter how much I moisturized. It faded very ugly even with regular exfoliating and moisturizing - scaly and patchy. It rubbed off on my clothes even when I was not sweating. Lasting power was virtually non-existant, I was having to top up my tan every day or two which was a constant hassle. The smell was soapy upon application but within minutes had turned to one of the most strongest DHA biscuit/wet dog smells I've ever experienced with a tanner not to mention it transferred all over my sheets and pillows. I've never had a mousse that transfers everywhere until St.Moriz. Yes the price is cheap but I think that just reflects the quality of this tbh...I would not repurchase!
I wanted to try this fake tan after I heard great reviews from a lot of people. I usually use fake bake but as it was so cheap I thought I'd try it. To be honest I was completely let down and definitely would not buy it again. I can't really understand why it's had such good reviews! As it is a mousse it's really easy to apply but for me it came out really patchy and showed up any areas of skin that were the slightest bit dry. Even with moisturising it very quickly showed up white patches in the creases of my elbows and the backs of my knees and this happened to my sister as well. But the worst part of this tan is that if I apply it, like all other fake tans, the night before and have a shower the following day it all washes off straight away so it's basically an instant tanner that leaves patches all over your skin. Even if I leave it for 24 hours or more it will still all wash off. Not worth the money even though it's cheap. There are better ones for this price on the high-street.
I thught i'd give this product a try, with such rave review's and at such a cheap price, why not?
I put this product on last night but i'm sorry to say it's not for me!!
pros - tone of colour is quite natual, doesn't smell too bad
cons - you'll need a tan mit as this instantly stains the hands, i've tried everything to get it off; dove soap worked the best but they're still a little stained around my nails!
It's really difficult to blend into the skin, i think it dries too quickly.
It instantly darkens any dry skin, scratches, acne etc.
for me it's gone streaky everywhere, and i dont really look much darker.
I'll give it another try with a tan mit to see if that makes much differance, if so i'll do an update this but i think i'll most probably be sticking to my favourite L'Oreal SUBLIME BRONZE Self-Tanning Gel for Face and Body
