Horrible compared to original Lash Blast. This formula is much, much wetter than the non-waterproof one, making it clump easily without giving separation, volume, or good length. Horribly hard to remove even with oil-based eye makeup remover.
I love this mascara! i've tried so many, and i've always wanted one that after i curl my eyelashes and i apply the mascara my eyelashes will stay curled, this mascara definitely keeps them curled, long, thick, and no clumps!
I have Asian stick straight lashes.
I liked this better than the lash exact wp mascara. It also had the transferring problem, where at the end of the day, some mascara would appear under my eyes.
I noticed it also clumped my lashes a little bit, which is weird bc I hadn't expected it to because of the plastic bristles.
This one also didn't lengthen my lashes AT ALL.
***I have short, sparse, hard to curl Asian lashes.***
I look for length in a mascara, not volume but I tried this anyway because I heard it wears like iron and is impossible to remove. I must have super oils on my face because this smudges under my eyes in less than 8 hours, with UDPP. This comes off very easily with mineral oil. I massage it into my lashes and I'm done in less than 2 minutes.
The price of this is quite expensive considering Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal is cheaper and works better for me. (Although that also smudges on me)
The brush on this is massive but workable and I could forgive this if it actually did anything to my lashes... but it doesn't. Meh volume, abysmal lengthening...
What's even worse, the tube is so freaking slippery! I tied a rubber band around the top so I could grip it.
Overall, a terrible buy. Can't believe I fell for the hype.
P.S. I do want to note that only one mascara, Loreal Beauty Tubes, has not smudged on me
I think that of all the makeup products I own, this is my most purchased product. It's the only mascara that I've used for a long time (except gifted ones). I have fairly long lashes so all I ask for in a mascara is a bit of added volume without clumping or flaking. Sometimes I need it to be waterproof, especially at work (I'm around water a lot). This one delivers and that's what keeps me coming back!

I like this Mascara a lot! I use to be my go to Mascara and to some extent it still is! It makes your lashes look very thick, full and long! I really have no complaints about it! Work good for me but I have found another Mascara I do like better so i'd say this is my second favorite! I love the big wand it works very well!

This is now my favourite mascara, hands down. I've tried and reviewed the original, but I think the waterproof deserves its own. I purchased this in 'Very Black' which is indeed, exceptionally black. This is the only waterproof mascara I currently own, and it's just PERFECT for work. They say that only waterproof mascaras hold a curl, and now I definitely understand what everyone's raving about. I curl my lashes in the morning, put a few coats of this on, and it's locked in place ALL day long. I like how this one thickens the lashes at the roots and lengthens naturally, without looking clumpy or messy. I hate the spidery, clumpy lash look - I would rather not wear mascara at all than to look overdone in that area. So, in all, this holds a curl without fail, is rich black in colour, thickens, lengthens, defines and doesn't smudge, smear or flake - does it get any better than this? I think not. Just make sure you have some industrial-strength makeup remover, and you're good to go.

I'm shocked at how many positive reviews this product has. I HATE this mascara. It did nothing for my eyelashes. They looked slightly darker, but other than that they looked the same. When I applied more coats they just got really clumpy. It also flakes a lot through the day.
Furthermore, and this is the big deal breaker for me... It totally gave me a rash on my eyelid and below my eye! I have sensitive skin, so it's always a risk trying a new product, so I won't blame Cover Girl for that because it's probably just an allergy. What I will blame Cover Girl for is the fact that it's IMPOSSIBLE to get off. I last put on (this) mascara two days ago. Today I went to curl my eyelashes and residue came off on the curler! I have washed my face ever day, scrubbing the shit out of my eyes and it won't come off, thus irritating my already rashy skin.
I'm disappointed. Buy at your own risk!

I've used many mascaras over the years, but in the end I always come back to this one, and I must say it is my current HG mascara. I have stick straight asian eyelashes (you know, the ones that point downwards), and I realized early on that I can only wear waterproof formulas if I want a mascara to hold my curl. This product is very waterproof, to the point where it can be hard to take off without good waterproof eye makeup remover (any bi-phased eye makeup remover or oil-based remover works well), so I would defn recommend getting the right remover if you are going to use this product. It keeps my lashes curled all day, and the darkest color, very black, is one of the darkest and richest black colored mascaras that I have ever used. It really does make my thin, sparse eyelashes look nice and thick. I think part of the magic of the product is that it coats your lashes and makes them a little clumpy but it is the clumpiness that gives you the great volumizing effect. I would recommend a good eyelash comb to use with this product but after a quick comb through my lashes are nicely thickened and separated. The key to a good application is focusing the product on the roots and drawing it out to the tips slowly so that the individual rubber bristles can comb through the lashes and keep them separated. The rubber bristles at the tip of the brush are much shorter, so the product is very clumpy and thick there. I usually run the tip through the roots of my lashes and use the rest of the bristles in the middle of the brush to comb out the product. Because my lashes are so short, mascaras that add too much length make my eyelashes look unnatural. This product gives a good amount of volume with a little bit of lengthening so that I still get a very natural eyelash look. For now this is my HG and I will continue to buy it. PS don't get the last blast fusion in the water resistant formula--the formula is too wet and weighs down the curl.

I have been waiting to review this product because my relationship with it has been very unstable. Recently, I have been purchasing a different mascara each time to discover ones that I really truly like and love.
This covergirl mascara made it on to that list easily (I am only experimenting with drugstore options) since I had heard so much about it. I have to say that I like the packaging (although I don't like the color orange)-it is different and I can appreciate that.
My lashes are actually quite long and I am not all too demanding when it comes to mascara. For that reason, as much as I want to discover my hg mascara, I also don't mind experimenting because as long as I am wearing a true black colored mascara I don't mind walking out the door.
First of all, I am not a fan of the brush. It just doesn't seem to help in applying the product although it is not terrible either. Recently I have been paying close attention to what this mascara does for me and I find that it does a good job accentuating my natural lashes. It defines, darkens and slightly lengthens them and is good for an everyday look. So to be honest, I don't hate this mascara.
Nonetheless, I definitely don't think it takes my lashes to another level. When going out I layer it with another mascara to get some extra drama. I definitely don't think I will be repurchasing this because I am still curious about a lot of the other options that are out there but I really don't think it is too bad.
My biggest complaint with this product is that it is SO hard to get off. Mind you, I always use water-proof mascara so I am used to using eye-makeup remover but this stuff is tough! It feels so rough on my lashes and at the end doesn't seem to come off all the way. If you are going to try this, I'd probably recommend the non waterproof one for that reason. I'm at the point now where I honestly can't wear this mascara everyday. I only wear it maybe twice a week, and use another mascara other days because this feels so harsh on my lashes.
