This is a lipgloss like plumping lip treatment. I love that it is in a lip gloss tube and you apply with the sponge tip. Unlike other high end lip treatments (such as La Mer or Chantecaille) in the pots, this is much more sanitary. The texture is quite thick and sticky. Every time I put this one, the lips feel 'coated'. It has a pleasant minty scent and taste. It does a good job hydrating the lips. I noticed the lips do appear fuller when the gloss is on. Also, it helps turn my lips into a healthy pink color (not that the gloss has any color...I think the ingredients help stimulate blood flow to lips). This product is advertised as a lip plumper, it does not sting...only very slight tingling feeling. Please do not expect any long term plumping effect. However, the result this treatment gives you is a healthier, hydrated and supple lips. This product is also quite expensive (USD29.50 for .2 oz). If you calculate the price per ounce it is slightly more expensive than La Mer the Lip Balm. However, Dior Lip Maximizer is definitely better than La Mer based on my experience with both.

Love this stuff! I held off on buying this because I thought almost $30 was kind of a lot to pay for a clearish gloss. But, after realizing that I really liked the minty tingle and the consistency, plus the moisturizing properties that it has, I decided to get it. I like it far better than BE's Buxom Lips. For the record, it doesn't plump, but it does smooth out the lines in the lips, and it leaves them feeling very soft and moisturized.

I purchased this on the suggestion of the SA at the Dior counter. My lips are always chapped. I've used every kind of lip junk under the sun to no avail. Chapsticks, lip scrubs, glosses, balms- all in various brands. The only one I liked was natural Chapstick brand chapstick. And, of course, I can no longer find it.

I could see the peel effect this had on my dry lips. The dead skin began flaking off immediately. I wasn't too excited about the price, but I have put more than its cost into all those other products. After 3 days, I still have some dryness, but my lips are MUCH improved!

I wasn't interested in the plumping claims. However, I can 'feel the tingle,' and their seems to be a noticeable difference albeit temporarily.

UPDATE: Although I still feel my prior comments are accurate, I do not feel that this products provides a permanent solution to my chapped lip problem. It seems to dry out my lips with continued use. I do like the shine and peel effect, but it's not moisturizing enough.

1st off, I need to say I did not buy this product for its "plumping" claims. I can't imagine any product costing less than thousands of dollars doing that anyway.
Having said that, this product is the best lip gloss I've ever used. Not too shiny but makes your existing lipstick color look better and richer. Even my old little used lipstick looks better with this gloss on top. My lips also appear 'smoother' and the word "supple" also comes to my mind.. I've only been using it for 3 weeks or so, so not sure about any side effects. No plumping, not that I wanted any but I would definitely buy this again. It's definitely worth its price.

i was suprised how highly rated this product is!
ive been using it for about 2 months daily, and my lips are no plumper.
as a daily lipgloss its fine, but it doesnt plump, its just like a normal high-shine gloss.

i love the colour and the packaging though, and the sweet mint smell but noway is it worth the price!!

Given I have only started using this a few days ago and haven't gone through the entire 15-day recommended regimen, I am giving this 4 lippies with a possibility of upgrading at a later date. I did not buy this for it's plumping properties, but I notice some immediate effect in plumping, definitely. My main issue, like one of the reviewers has pointed out below is the cracking and dryness of my lips in the winter. I have severly dry lips and temperatures of minus 20-30 C in the winter do not help. My lips are constantly parched and peeling. I have spent exhorbitant amount on $$$ in my search for the relief, without help. During a trip to my local boutique drugstore to look for the "latest and greatest", I tried this more out of boredom and curiosity rather than really thinking that it would help. Wel, I was pleasantly surprised. Within a few minutes I noticed some level of relief, and while I was looking around the store (30 minutes) my lips felt much better. I decided to buy. During that first day I kept reapplying the product, but also wiping with a towel in between to remove the peeled skin (it kind of worked like a peel the first day). By the time the day was over, all of my dry skin peeled off and I was left with soft and hydrated lips. Since then, I've been applying this in the morning before I leave my house and in the evening before I go to bed. You could certainly use it as a lip gloss throughout the day, but I prefer something with some colour and don't really like anything glossy on my lips during the day. Again, I did notice the plumpness of my lips improve a bit, but it's stays predominantly 2 hours after the application now - we'll see if that changes over time. If it does, it's just another bonus for me.
if you have ultra-dry lips and have tried everything else, give this a try. It's not a miracle in the bottle, but it does work better than most lip treatments/balms.

This actually works! After about 2 weeks of continued use, my lips are fuller and more defined (like using a lip liner). In the dry winter months, this seems to be the only thing that keeps my pout hydrated. Well worth the price, though I can only get a month’s use out of each tube.

This is a fantastic gloss/plumper, but don't expect it to work like collagen. I apply it over lipstick, and it instantly smooths out all the feathery lines, giving my lips a 'plumped up' look, plus a glossy layer. There is a tingly sensation upon application, but it's not too irritating coz it kinda smells and feels like mint. Not overtly sticky either, and lasts quite a while. I use it as a clear gloss too. Would repurchase frequently if it wasn't that expensive.

I liked it but I didn't love it. As just a nice gloss it works well. As a plumped i'm not so convinced. It does tingle which inievitably means that extra blood will be flowing to my lips so they will be somewhat englared - however I don't think it has any longterm effects nor does the small amount of tingling last long enough to produce tangible effects that last longer then say 10 minutes. As a moisturizer it isn't bad, not HG status for sure. The package quality is very nice but it's Dior so I expect it to be. I don't think I would buy it again immediately, instead I think I would keep trying some new things and then maybe depending on my experience perhaps I would buy it if I can't find another product that I like more.
