The only thing i liked about this product was the smell. It made my hair feel weird and greasy. Also made my flat iron tug on my hair. Have had better results with other products.
I really love this lotion! The smell reminds me of Froot Loops! Yum!
I have thick curly hair so I need something to tame as well as protect it when I am styling with my blow dryer & flat iron. This product does a very good job at smoothing out my curls and cuts my blow drying time in half. I usually spray in my hair while damp, section off my hair, blow dry with a round brush, and flat iron with the chi. It comes out perfect each time. shiny and healthy.
Personally, like the shape and spray design of the bottle, except it needs a twist locking feature at the end of the nozzle rather than that insert clampy thing. Everyone is saying it sprays in a stream but i just spray in my hand to apply anyway. continued >>
Not impressed with this product at all! It sprays it a thin line with does not evenly distribute the product in your hair. Smells awful and when my hair was dry it felt gunky and I had product buildup. I tried it again and sprayed the product in my hands then put it on my hair and I was still left with that gunky feeling.
This stuff is just ok. It has a strong, citrusy smell, but I kind of like it. The product itself is like a serum and cream in one. It applies like a serum, but with a creamier consistancy that makes it easier to work with. I'm not sure how well it did at protecting, because I still got a lot of split ends. I gave it three lippies because it gave my color-treated hair a little boost of shine, and it didn't weigh my hair down drastically, but it did controll frizz a lot. Overall I wouldn't buy this again, I just wasn't crazy about it. Might work for some people, just not for me.
I really did not like this product for several reasons: 1) It did not help my hair get pin straight, 2) It did not help with frizz, 3) It comes out in a gel/cream stream so you need to apply into your hands then apply to your hair - it is very weighty on my hair. It feels like it coats my hair, 4) It dulled the shine from my normally shiny hair, and 5) It has a horribly cheap drugstore scent of oversweet, musky oranges. I would definitely not repurchase. It retails for approximately $6.99
I use this stuff whenever I straighten my hair (which isn't often) and it seems to work pretty well. its very thick, almost like a serum so I spray it into my hand, and then smooth it through my hair. It makes it very smooth, but too much and it will make you look very greasy. Overall a pretty good smoothing serum/heat protector. I may re-buy it, but I also may try something new when this runs out.
this does what its supposed to do! make your hair hella sleek and silky!
too bad it's not for me. i think it's supposed to work for people w/ thicker and naturally wavy/curly hair. My locks are thin and limp.. and straight with kinks. this made my hair SOO heavy and flat, which is what i'm trying to prevent. this product comes in a spray bottle thingy, but its so thick that i can call it a serum.
so the bottom line is.. it does what it claims.. but its not a good product for fine hair!
Before I used this product, I've never used any type of heat protection spray. I didn't know it was essential for people who use heat tools on their hair.
So I picked this up at CVS when they had the Buy One Get One sale so it was around $7 for two bottles of this product.
I've used this since August of 2008 and it is now almost May 2009. There is still about half a bottle left and I use this product almost every day!
What I really don't like about this product is the nozzle. It does not give you the mist that most protection spray does. I like to spray the product in my hair and apply it to my hair when it is still wet. The direction says to apply the product, blow dry, and flat iron it but I let my hair air dry and then flat iron.
The smell is a fruity smell.. It isn't the most pleasant smell but does not have the alcoholic smell either.
so far, i like this product.
it's pretty runny and all, but it works.
i have less split ends, now
and it makes my hair softer.
does its job. usually heat protection sprays do not work well for me. the water based ones that actually have to consistency of water tend to make my hair huge and poof out after blow drying and flat ironing, but I have noticed with this lotion, although it is runny, it is still much thicker than water and it really does seem to protect my hair and give me the results that I want. I love it. I took off one lippie for the bottle design. way, way too bulky.
