I thought I would like this. In the bottle, it looked blackish with maroon shimmer. On my nails, it looked like a brownish black, and I can barely see any shimmers. It did last 4 days without chipping though.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. I think this may be in my top 5 shades of all time. I had sworn off OPI since I love Sinful brand so much, but it was 1/2 price - what's a gal to do? I needed a brown nail polish! I hate the new "pro" brush, though, let me say that.
Anyway, this is the most interesting and amazing color. It starts out like blah brown but it then takes on an amazing coffee, dark cherry, maroon-ish color ... very different. Very chic looking, I think. Very nice if ya wanna kind of branch out but not look too freaky. My friend wore this a while back, too, and it was stunning on her. I guess this is LE so I may have to track down another bottle.
a lovely "off-black" shade with hints of red to it... looks gorgeous under the sun...
one of my favorite dark shades
I haven't actually purchased this item but I used it the last time I got a pedi and mani together. It was great on my toe nails but a little too dark for my fingernails. It looks like a shimmery black from far away but in the light you can see a very deep burgandy shimmer. I have been looking to buy this shade myself but not sure since I could just pick the same color next time I get my nails done again.
I really like this OPI shade from the Russian Collection..On the OPI website, Midnight in Moscow is described as 'charcoal with a hint of maroon glimmer'...it definitley takes certain lighting to see the purple/burgundy hues..in regular office/indoor lighting, it looks straight up black, but outside, you can definitley see the purple tones come through...I love Midnight in Moscow on short, polished nails---looks very chic...As with the quality and longevity of MIM, very OPI--long lasting, and easy application as it only takes 1 or 2 coats to achieve the bottle coloring!
OPI Midnight In Moscow is a deep, vampy chocolate cherry with burgundy shimmer. Nice but not overly unique. I like it but it's definitely not a color that I can't live without. The color ends up being rather murky and I'm not exactly sure if that is a good or a bad thing. Because the base of this polish is more of a blackened brown it isn't as harsh as a normal black base would be. I love the shimmer of MiM but it's gets lost and is barely visable until my nails come in contact with direct sunlight. The application was nice and easy but three coats was very neccessary to turn MiM from a dud to the stunner I know OPI meant for it to be....though it never resembles the color that appears in the bottle.

Love this! I have this on my tips right now and and I'm not seeing the burgundy tones that other reviewers have mentioned. To me, this is a deep, deep espresso brown with subtle red shimmer. This shimmer isn't visible unless in bright light though. Really unique, classy colour that's flattering on my NC50 skintone. My manicurist used 2 coats to get the colour similar to the bottle, but I could see they were very thick coats. It's been 6 days now and I don't see any major signs of wear yet. I have purchased this even though I rarely do my own nails - just in case they run out of this colour at the salon.
My HG so far of darker shades. (shimmer) Beautiful when it hits the light. It states it as charcoal w/burgundy. In the bottle looks like deep, deep burgundy, and when I put it on, I thought it was too dark. But gah, when it hits the light....so pretty. Takes 3 coats for me to like it. Lasts long. I've always used OPI and pedicures last at least 4 weeks on me, and I only get tip wear w/ OPI - never chips until after at least a week and a half's worth wear.
I love this polish. Just had it put on at the salon and it looks like a chocolate cherry on me. You can definitely see the micro-infused red glitter and it's really gorgeous... especially if you love the super dark browns/blacks. I think it looks less black to me because of the red glitter. I only needed two coats, but they were thick coats put on by the nail tech. I will be buying this one for sure!
