I would like this product, but I really can't stand the smell. Or rather, lack thereof. It's very moisturizing and sinks in pretty well. I can't really say if it stops the itching on dry skin because I don't really have that issue. But after I shave my legs and they're dry, this makes them soft.
I like this much much less than the regular daily moisture lotion (which I find so-so). It's thicker and doesn't sink in really well. I still feel sticky/waxy hours later....I can't stand it on my skin. There is no strong smell (no real smell at all), which I prefer to a smell I don't like. I will not repurchase, and I will be returning this one.

This lotion is okay. I don't feel that it actually "relieved" my skin of anything -- I bought it along with the oatmeal bath when I had a full-body rash from a drug allergy, and if anything I was itchier after using. The moisturization abilities are about average. I do like that it's not fragranced. I wouldn't repurchase because I like a very moisturizing lotion, like body butters and creamier lotions.
I love this stuff. I have dry, sensitive skin, and prone to acne breakouts. For many years now, I've used the one with the cooling menthol, which really does cool dry, itchy skin on contact and moisturize your face, but it just had this weird smell that I could never go over. I used this primarily for my face and it really helped me before I actually got medication to relieve some chronic itchy, dry redness around my mouth from a dermatologist. But before then, this helped to keep it at bay for. And, then I found the menthol to be a little drying after awhile (since it is a type of alcohol compound). So, I switched over to the one with just shea butter, and oh my goodness! It definitely was alot better. It didn't have a weird smell because it is fragrance free. And, to top it off, this can also be used as a makeup primer. It has about 1.3% of dimethicone, which is found in makeup primers. I believe Monistat only has 1.2% dimethicone (I know, whoopi doo, but hey it's a little more). I haven't really noticed it all to clog my pores, and like I said, Aveeno never made me break out.
Not only is this, at least in my opinion, better than the Monistat chaffing gel, it is actually meant to be used for your facial skin (well, at least more so than the chaffing gel). When I used the Monistat chaffing gel, I totally was breaking out over and over again. But I've been using Aveeno for many years, and I have never broke out with it. It has only natural ingredients (well, mostly) and it is dermatologist recommended.
Go, Aveeno!

This lotion is the only lotion that will keep my son's skin super dry skin moisturized in the winter. (I buy the one without the menthol) He has always had really dry, sensitive skin and in the winter he gets little patches of eczema, along with itchy and ashy patches, if we apply any other lotion besides this. We've tried so many others (including the regular aveeno) and he is always dry and ashy within 8 -12 hours - except with this lotion. It really does keep him moisturized for 24 hours! It is a bit sticky after application, but we apply it after his bath and in the morning he is always very soft and yummy. No itchiness, no eczema, and no ashy patches at all. I've applied it to myself (I have normal/not extra dry skin) and I find that (as long as I am careful not to overapply/apply a very thin layer) it works fine...I am moisturized for 24 hours and the stickiness does indeed quickly go away (within the hour).

This is called Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion, and says it's supposed to help itchy and extra dry skin.
Well, I bought this because it was cheaper than others, and there are many cheap lotions which are good, but this one did nothing of what it says.
The first thing I noticed is that it's very sticky on my skin, so don't even think that you will have soft and smooth skin with this body lotion. And really, I have this on right now and am not feeling attractive at all.
Secondly my skin got dry and itchy after a few hours, that's like 4 hours, and it says that it is a 24 hour moisturizer.
So this product is a big lie and disappointment to me.
I just cannot wait to take a shower and get rid of that sticky feeling.

Very gentle on my extremely sensitive skin, very moisturizing, and stops itchy irritated skin in its tracks.

I have very itchy, sensitive skin and this lotion soothes the irritation. It moisturizes nicely and does not feel greasy but I would not use this on my face. It sucks trying to get the last fourth of lotion from the bottle.

I'm ambivalent about this lotion. It smells like nothing (which I find boring), but I bought it because my young child has some dry patches in the winter and I needed a perfume free lotion. It seemed to deal with that fine. I've put it on my hands and it seemed to do the job. But last night I had the experience of putting it on my very pregnant belly (which is getting itchy) and when I woke up in the morning, it really bothered me that my skin was still sticky from this lotion. And it didn't seem to have improved the itchiness (which admittedly is from tightness, not dryness). I can't abide the stickiness; I will not put this on my belly again. I tried a sampler pack of Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula instead this afternoon and it seemed to be absorbed better, and not leave a sticky residue.
One of the best lotions ever!!! I had extremely dry itchy skin while pregnant, and this was the only thing that kept my belly from itching all day. It absorbs quickly and does not feel heavy. Plus, it is fragance free. And no stretch marks. (Even though that is mostly genetic.) I also work in medicine, and was my hands tons! The dimethicone keeps it from washing off my hands.
