Love this eyeliner. Very creamy formula. Works really well for the water line. This has to be my favorite pencil liner!

I do not like this at all. Yes, it is cheap, but I think eyeliner is worth investing in. It tugs on the very delicate skin around my eyes and it smudges like crazy. It runs into my eyes very easily, making my eyes all red and painful. Never again.

I was actually quite impressed with how smooth this eye pencil was considering it is so cheap! It is very pigmented and easy to blend if you plan to smudge it out. Definitely one of the better drugstore eyeliners in this price range. I also picked up a dark brown and pearly white one. I did find it to fade about 4 to 5 hours later (i have oily lids). Overall, best drugstore non mechanical eyeliner.

This was my second NYX brand liner I purchased and really enjoy it. I have black liners in several different drugstore brands and high end brands. I tend to grab for my NYX one quite frequently even with all the others mixed in. I didn't give it a 5, though, because its staying power could be better. It doesn't fad overly quickly, but it also doesn't stay bold and vibrant after a handful of hours. I think it would be perfect if it were a transfer-proof, waterproof liner. HINT HINT NYX! haha! Will I purchase again? Sure will... its too good of a liner with too good a price not to.

This black pencil eye pencil goes on incredibly smooth!
The color is a very deep dark black.
The texture is very creamy, almost as much as the jumbo NYX pencils.
The packaging is SO cute!


CON:
Long lasting color but the texture smudges fast (due to creaminess) quite a lot.
I like sharp bottom liner so I would rock this with a smokey eye instead.

Picked this up at Ulta, because I love the NYX line and I'm always looking for a good black pencil liner. I was very pleased with this purchase. It smudges well with a proper smudging brush and stays pretty well. It's not too hard and lines my waterline nicely. Would purchase again.

This is definitely one of my favorite eyeliner pencils. It's really good for getting down into the waterline. I have oily skin, especially in the summertime when it's hot but this pencil doesn't smear or smudge even after hours and hours of wear! It's very easy to build up the color and easy to remove so it really has everything I want in a pencil.

NYX is a great drugstore brand with a variety of nice colors and products. But this pencil is a swing and a miss. It stays true to its name, though: PENCIL. The consistency is truly like pencil lead...solid and sharp. You have to make an absolutely PERFECT line because the product doesn't smudge well and don't even think about getting this close to your waterline. Also, I'm allergic to it (what else is new, NYX?) so it physically hurts my eyes. I suggest that you do not invest (even though the price is appealing). Maybe get a nice kohl eyeliner from a different brand if you want a liner in the pencil form :)

Great price, not so good product. This was consistency is hard and therefore not ideal for the waterline. I tried it on my waterline anyway. The color barely showed up. I tried applying it to my upper lash line but found that I had to rub really hard to get the pigmentation to not be gappy and rough looking. Because it's so hard, it also tugged at my eyelid quite a bit. It's really more trouble than it's worth because there are far better liners out there for the same, or similar price. I really wanted to like this product, as I had heard so many great things about NYX, but this was a huge flop in my book. I've found the only use for this is for when you experiment with looks and have the time to painstakingly apply this neatly. I gave it 2 lippies for that purpose, and because you can't beat the price.

Ever since I started wearing eyeliner when I was 15, I've been through so many types and brands and never really been fully satisfied - but then I came across the NYX eye pencil and I've never bought any other brand. It glides on perfectly, and stays in place for a good few hours where as other eyeliners tended to smudge badly and leave me looking panda-like. The price is great for the product, and I will deffinatly be buying this again.
