This is yuck yuck and yuck! leave white patches on lips. thick and greasy. not moisturizing. feels like heel balm on your lips. a relatively cheap chapstick is way way better!!
Not very effective against really dry lips. It's very rich and greasy (no white lips, though), but doesn't give any moisture to lips. Would not buy again.
I don't really like this. It leaves this white film and doesn't feel hydrating enough. But it's good for one thing though - I can apply it in cold weather and I feel it protects my lips from freezing and chapping. I appreciate it now when it's -15 C. For that reason alone I give it 3 lippies. But I won't repurchase. EDIT: ok, I've tolerated this long enough, it's time to throw it out. I was waiting for something that would justify the high price, some quality I was not careful enough to notice at the beginning, but it really does not add any moisture.. ugh! Why is it so expensive when it's so useless?

Very good product, but unfortunately didn't work for me. (But then again, I have really bad case of dry/chapped lips, it's rare that something actually works) I said this product was good, because everyone else who tried it was satisfied and I think some even bought it. Everyone, except me. :( An hour or so after application my lips were as dry as before. Really wanted to like this one, but it didn't work out. Sad.

Not bad. Paid 9.50 at CVS. It's not a miracle product, but it goes on smoothly and hydrates my dry lips. It has a waxy texture that I prefer in a lip balm. I really don't notice the white cast.
Might rebuy. Not really sure yet.

Nice product, got it at CVS in a 2 for 1 promo. I usually use vaseline. It does leave a white coat which didnt bother me. I was concerned about the aluminium content, aluminium/Alzheimers is there a connection?. $9 a tube i thought was incredibly expensive. All things considered i would not buy.
update:i will definately rebuy, my lipstick goes on beautifully over this lip balm and i will definately rebuy. Impressed

After reading the reviews, Iīm curious as to whether there may be different formulations for this depending on the country. I purchased this in Germany, and love it. It is one of the only things that I can turn to when my lips are dry and cracked. ( I have an allergy that I havenīt figured out yet, that causes really dry tingly scabby lips)I havenīt noticed any white cast, and have really piled it on at times. It has a nice hardly noticable light sheen. The SA here did tell me not to put it any pants or jacket pockets, as it can melt easily.
Again, after reading the other reviews, I am curious as to whether there may be another formulation that causes a white cast. This was mentioned in many reviews.
I have repurchased this and continue to be happy with it.

This actually ain't as bad as I thought it'd be, given the poor-to-middlin' reviews. It certainly won't win any personality contests, being a thick, waxy white substance (that I suspect will get melty and messy during warmer months) that does not feel emollient, but merely lip-coating, and possesses a fairly unpleasant, kinda strong-but-not-too-long-lasting waxy sort of smell. I have had really badly chapped lips lately, likely due to the cooler, dryer weather, lipbalm abuse, and a drastic drop in my water intake (I know, I know). I applied this last night and didn't notice any white-ish cast to my medium-pigmented lips. What I did notice was that my poor lips immediately felt soothed. I layered some vaseline over them and went to bed. Woke up this morning to softer, smoother lips (still not entirely chap-free, however). This also acts nicely as a protective barrier during the day. I've noticed a slight white-ish cast on the edges of my lips but I simply rubbed them together and it disappeared.
Packaging is fine, though a bit bulky, and looks as soothing and spa-like as a lip balm can look. The stick of product is slanted inside the tube (a feature that I think is just smart). Took off lippies for the lack of SPF and price (around 10 USD--absurd, really).
According to their website, this is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and:
"* Contains Avene Cold cream to nourish and relieve dry, rough lips
* Sucralfate helps mend chapped lips [according to my research, sucralfate is used to treat ulcers by adhering to damaged tissues, forming some sort of barrier against stomach acids, etc. so that healing can occur. It seems safe enough but I suppose one would have to know how much of this is in the product to be sure.]
* Vitamins E and F provides anti-oxidant protection
* Can be used under lipstick" [duh]
