My face does not feel clean. The grains scrape against my skin and irritate it. There are better cleansers out there for this price.

I prefer this cleanser over the Renewing cleanser that comes in the kit. I use this once a day, in the am. It works great, and gives you a little zest in your step.

I have used this for 3 years, and I love it! It has salicylic (sp?) acid in it, not benzoyl peroxide like the other Proactiv cleanser. It also has beads in it and smells like tea tree oil and something else. I can't think of a single reason to complain about it.

I have used this product for years, and I've got to admit it leaves my face clean and clear. I love the way it feels after I wash it off. I wouldn't use anything else and haven't for the last 7 years.

I love this cleanser. It foams up more than the cleanser that comes with the 3 step system so it removes makeup a lot better. It seems to get my pores really clean without being too abrasive. It smells pretty good and comes in an easy to use pump bottle. It is kind of expensive but it is a large bottle you can use on the face and body.

Although the entire ProActiv line (w/BPO) made my facial acne absolutely the worst it has ever been, this product has done wonders for my chest and back. It works best for me if I lather it on and leave for several minutes before rinsing off. UPDATE: Out of pure laziness one evening, I reached for this instead of my regular facial cleanser. I am now using this exclusively and my face is better than it has been in a really long time. I thought it was just a great thing for my back, but my face is thanking me for trying it. My face is doing so well on this cleanser, it has allowed me to cut back on other acne meds. Most likely turning into a HG product for me!!!!

HG BODY SOLUTION! Salicylic meds were never the most effective meds for my acne-prone, but sensitive skin, so I never gave this stuff a chance on my face... This product is an alternative to the cleanser that comes in the proactiv 3 piece kit. It can be purchased in a large pump bottle (8 oz) on QVC for $20. I'm going to have to disagree with the trend here. I don't love this. It's an aqua colored 2% bha cleanser w/ polyethylene beads for extra exfoliation. While this all sounds nice imho it's much too fragranced. It contains menthol (known to be irrritating) which accounts for the cooling sensation. In addition it contains additonal fragrance and smells to me like vicks or some manly body wash. Much too strong for my face so I'm using up the bottle in the shower.

I have probably gone through five or six bottles of this. Its an expensive habit, but I really love it. Ever since I started using it (on my face and back), my skin has been very clear. I still get pimples occasionally, but I can't remember the last time I had a serious breakout. I know the menthol and peppermint are irritants, but my skin isn't supersensitive and I haven't had any problems with it. For me this scrub doesn't even tingle - it simply leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. Occasionally it can be a little drying, but its nothing a dab of moisturizer can't help. This is a pretty heavy duty scrub, so you have to be careful around the eye area. I leave it on for a couple minutes to let it penetrate, but if your skin is sensitive that might be too much for you. Particularly if you have "bacne", this is a superb product. The only downfall is that you have to use quite a lot - a half dollar amount for your face and almost a palmful for your back - to feel like you are getting clean. I'm sure a quarter amount would do, but I feel like I have to use more, which of course isn't easy on the wallet! Otherwise, this is an awesome daily scrub.

UPDATE: I left this at my grandparents house a couple weeks ago. I am really broke right now I have been using Cetaphil for Normal to Oily Skin on my face and Aveda body scrub on my back - just what I had on hand. Both my face and my back have been hardcore breaking out! I haven't experienced breakouts like this in a very long time, especially on my face. This just proves to me the effectiveness of Proactiv. I need to get some more ASAP!

I got this in a 5 piece kit I bought on QVC. It was the only piece of the kit I really liked. I really liked this cleanser/scrub and it smelled great. It made my face feel great too. I won't be buying it again due to the $20 price tag (plus S&H). My $2.50 St. Ives medicated scrub does almost the same thing except it doesn't smell as nice and is thicker. continued >>
