Flawless long lasting finish...but it makes me look a little too perfect. It's full coverage and needs to be buffed in well. It can cake up if you try to build it up, but there really isn't a need to. It does oxidize so go a 1/2 shade lighter and everything should be fine. Overall I would repurchase it, now I've learned how to make it work.

Not a fan of this foundation at all. I bought this because every now and then my skin goes through these painful purging fazes and I need a foundation that will not irritate my already irritated skin- my mom has sensitive skin and said that this worked very well for her. True enough, it did not irritate my skin at all- but I don't think I have looked more cakefaced in my entire life. This foundation is pretty thick for a liquid and it just applied really streaky on me and under nice lighting I just looked cakefaced, powdery and horrible. I feel like this might be because I have dry skin that can make foundation application a bit more difficult (my mom has oily skin and this looks excellent on her). Since I foolishly tossed the receipt thinking I would love it, I am now stuck with this product and use it more as a concealer and the cover my very red nose. Based on my moms results I feel like this could work well if you have oily to really oily skin but if you have any dry patches or just generally dry skin- stay far away.
I first tried this out as a sample from a magazine, I have never been that impressed with any foundation I've tried before and I've tried quite a few (MakeUpForever, Stila, some drugstore brands.) They didn't really work with my skin or made me have these little bump-closed comedone type things on my face and that isn't attractive. So when I tried this, I didn't have any expectations. My skin is combination, but more on the oily side, also not quite sensitive but can be and I have pretty clear, fair skin, as well. I have a few post acne marks on my cheeks but nothing major. But onto the actual foundation: it is literally FLAWLESS. Whenever I wear this, I literally get at at least 1 compliment on my skin and I get tons of questions as to what's in my skincare regimen/what foundation I'm using and people think that my skin is naturally perfect, and when I do tell them I do have stuff to cover up like everyone else, they don't believe me! It looks that natural. I only need one layer; I use Laura Mericer's primer in Radiance (which goes BEAUTIFULLY with this foundation IMO) my fingers to apply it first then I use a damp sponge to take off excess/blend it in. I have no troubles about missing a spot or not blending it in enough or anything. I do have to add concealer under my eyes and such but that's a different story. If you're dry, this might not work for you because it does sop up oil because it is long lasting. If this is leaving you flaky, please try the damp sponge trick! Also the pump works wonderfully, I love the sleek packaging and the glass doesn't bother me cause I don't travel much with it and when I do it's never given me a problem (leaking, breaking, ect.) One pump is all you need to cover your face. The only downside(s) are frosty outside of the bottle..it makes it harder to see how much you have left. And the price. It's quite expensive at $45, but I've had mine for about 10 months now and it's probably only at halfway...so it will last you a year or so if you use 1 pump! So that does make up for the price. It also photographs really well, too! If you're looking for a foundation for a wedding or something. I always recommend this to customers when they walk into my work!
I really did want to love it. I bought this 3 times, each time using it for a few months and then not really remembering why I was even okay with it. 3rd time was not the charm!
It was made with 8 years of research. I don't know, I thought this was important in my decision making process... haha.
I have dry skin and this does nothing for it. Although it did not emphasize dry patches, it made my skin look really dull. The colour oxidized to a shade darker after a few hours. Even when I bought a shade lighter, my undertone ended up not being quite right. Goldilocks would not have been happy.
However the Lancome La Base primer works really well with this foundation in terms of longevity.
So overall, if you have oily skin and the colour works for you, I think this would great!
After trying tons of new foundations, I love this! Covers well, but looks natural matte. Use moisturizer to prevent dryness. Hardly any touch ups needed by end of day unless you are going out for the night and want to refresh. Absolutely no breakouts or skin irritation.
Color is great and if I want to make darker or lighter I use powder. As a superpicky consumer, they really nailed it! I feel confident wearing this and putting it on every morning.

I had this initially in Bisque 320W which was OK but a bit dark and really yellow for me so I switched to Bisque 260N which fits much better. They didn't have the neutral shades in the previous versions but they're great--make sure you try a bunch of different shades and undertones. The tube broke off the pump in my Bisque 320W. I'm not sure if it was a defective bottle; it's not like I was using it roughly or anything. The packaging seems fine on my 260N. I went through a lot of foundations to find this one. I tried Nars Sheer Glow, which was great, but I think it broke me out a bit. This one definitely doesn't do that. The one weird thing about this foundation, at least on me, is that it doesn't look good at all (waaaay too matte) if I just wear it with regular moisturizer. However, it looks great if I wear it with my La Roche Posay SPF 60 Ultra Fluid Lotion. Then the glow of the sunscreen comes through and you don't need to use much foundation. I set it with a powder and it seems to stay on all day. It looks natural with the sunscreen if you use maybe half a pump for the whole face. I apply with a foundation brush. Great coverage and you don't need much product at all.
This stuff is amazing. I don't care much for full coverage/matte foundations so it will not be something I use everyday. It's one of those makeup queen, super flawless type of foundations with a matte finish. It makes my skin look perfect! Like unnaturally perfect which is good when I want that look. I love it! but it could be a good everyday foundation for someone with oily skin or with scars.... anything you would want to hide I guess.
Great finish. Great lasting power. Not bad color selection. Just when I thought that I found my HG foundation, my face started to break out like never before. Then I discovered that alcohol denat is pretty high on the ingredient list, which I guess is a major factor that is causing the breakout. Such a pity because I actually bought two bottles of it. I plan to throw them away since I can't give skin-irritating foundations to my friends or anybody, right?
A foundation can not be a good one if it hurts your skin, regardless of how great it looks. Period.
I bought this in every fair color, none of which was right for me. I will give it high marks though for application, it went on great. It covered everything right up. And the pump is fabulous, I wish more foundations pumped this little amount at a time for less waste!
but---the next day my cheeks were sore. I pushed on one area to see what was under there, and a mirror-squirter exploded. The kind that just keeps on bleeding, making it impossible to do your makeup until it stops. Yeah---no thanks. I had that kind of face in high school and don't need it at THIS age!
Normally I will be ecstatic for a fdn. of this quality regardless of price, but the past 2 years or so, every fdn. I bought (dept. store & drug store) was of great quality (sigh, why didn't they make that when I was younger).
I had #320 Bisque warm, normally I am yellow base and this is good, but since I had the Fat Injection, my skin is more neutral than yellow, so I will exchange this for #340 instead.
The coverage is natural & skin like (satin matte), a second layer in selected area for the melasma. I am good to go.
