TOTAL GIMMICK
PROS:
-Smells citris-y and fresh
-Affordable compared to other "dark spot treatments"
-Not harsh on skin
-Spreads easily
-Not oily
-Nice design to disperse product
CONS:
-DOES NOT DO WHAT IT CLAIMS - there was absolutely NO change in my dark spots
-MAKE ME BREAK OUT - around my mouth and sides of my face...I don't have acne-prone skin so I have no idea what made it do such a thing!
-Waste of money - not exactly cheap either
-Can be a little drying/not very moisturizing
-No SPF protection
-Not a whole lot of product in the tube
-TOTAL GIMMICK
I'll just spend the extra bucks to buy something that does what it claims
i have been using this product for about 2-3 months and recently noticed how great my skin looks! it takes a while for this product to work but it does make my skin more evenly toned, diminished the darkness of my spots, and even helped with my acne! some sort of acid or some ingredient in it really helped with my pimples. i dont get big ones only small ones but it still got rid of them! my whole face is one color and it is really soft. i love this product. it also smells really good. i will but it again.
I've been using this product for about two months now and have a little less than half left. I apply it liberally twice a day underneath my moisturizer, and I do think it has made a difference in my skin. I use it in conjunction with a salicylic acid wash, which I alternate with a glycolic acid wash, so those products may also have contributed to the condition of my skin but my dark acne scars have indeed faded away considerably. I know this because I have been taking pictures of my face without makeup on a monthly basis to check on my progress. I still have some dark spots in areas where I developed new acne, but they are not so visible that I feel completely uncomfortable leaving the house without any makeup on. I've tried many different dark-spot lightening serums in the past, including Clinique, Lancome Genefique, Murad and drugstore hydroquinine creams. The hydroquinine creams broke me out, and Clinique and Lancome didn't do anything for me, in my opinion. The smell of the product is nice and fresh, and it has a lightweight consistency that spreads easy and also absorbs easily. It is a great summer moisturizer. I plan to repurchase this and continue with my current routine for a few more months, then move on to stronger exfoliants/acid washes. I'm not saying that this is the last and only dark spot corrector I would try - I have my eye on a few other higher-end products too (just curious) but it is a very good value and it does seem to work for me.
i tried Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector, Clarins, and even Porcelana and the Garnier worked the best for me without a doubt. Dark spots take a lot of time to lighten - there's no such thing as a quick fix. But now that I've been using this product morning and night for about 2 months, my skin discoloration is totally leveled out. I don't know the science behind things or the active ingredients, although my friend who works at Clinique says that Garnier and Clinique share the same active ingredient. Patience is key - just keep using it. It's cheap enough to take a chance. I was initially so turned off by Sarah Jessica Parker as a spokesperson that I didn't want to try anything Garnier but I'm so happy with the Dark Spot Corrector that I think I'll give their other products a try.

LOVE IT AND IT WORKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT...................... it contains Parabens so i had to stop using it :(
I like it. At fifteen dollars for a drugstore product, it is kind of expensive, but hey, it's skincare. And I'm not willing to shell out fifty dollars for the same thing. At least not yet.
This works. I have been using it for about a month. I can see a difference. Less redness, my post-acne spots are slowly lightening up...and what really gets me (love it) it seems to help my acne too, which it never claimed to do. I have been getting very little pimples at all, minor ones at that. I used to be huge ones before this for years.
So I highly recommend.

I have been using this product since April 1st, except for April 27-May 10 due to a car accident. My skin is oily, I get hormonal acne, and sometimes the occasional zit. I started out with a lot really dark post acne pigmentation on my chin (2/3 of the area) and a couple on my cheeks. Before my accident, I used this in the morning, and sometimes at night under another lotion. Since May 11, I use it morning and night.
I see a huge difference. Some of those spots on my chin had been there for months, some even a yr or so. Most of them are gone, and the big ones are very much diminished. The ones on my cheeks are gone completely. I use a pea sized amount for my whole face.
I like the light gel-lotion consistency bc it doesn't contribute to my oily skin. The tube is annoying bc it isn't flexible though it is the way it is to protect the ingredients. Maybe a dark colored airless pump would be better, but more expensive. I got this on sale for around $8. Since my skin likes it, if I had to pay full price, I would.

Being a teen, I have acne marks/scars. I bought this hoping it would get rid of those marks, but soon realized it works great for evening out your skin tone! It immediately soothes redness and now I hardly get any! I have seen a slight difference in the size of my acne marks but they're still there. I love the smell of this, and like how it glides on. I've been using this for about 8 weeks, and still have a fair amount of product left. I wouldn't repurchase only because I want something that will help with my marks, but if you want something to help with skin tone, TRY THIS!

Saw commercial on this and decided to give this a try. Very disappointed
as I have used half the tube and have seen NO change at all. Think this product is a waste of money and time. Doesn't live up to it's claim.
I just want to give a background on my skin:
fair/
very oily/combination
acne prone
SEVERAL post acne marks
My dermatologist has me on clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide 5% to help with the acne; however, I do not think that acne is my main concern anymore. My post acne marks are FAR MORE WORSE than my occasional breakouts. I got a free sample of Dr. Weill's mega bright serum or something like that and when I woke up the next morning, I could tell a HUGE difference. Unfortunately I ran out and couldn't afford the $55 price tag. I did a search and decided to give this a try; and man, I hit the mother load! It wasn't as fast as the serum I tried, but slowly but surely all my post acne marks are disappearing and giving me a more even toned skin! i'm so excited because these are marks I have had for 5+ years! I have used this for a week, and I cannot wait to see the results after every single day I apply it! I apply it twice a day in replace of my old moisturizer. I am the kind of girl who would die if I left the house without foundation on, but today, I went to Target with a light powder and NO CONCEALER on and I was perfectly fine! Love this product and I HIGHLY recommend it before trying the expensive products! I didn't give it 5 stars because I HATE the packaging...I don't like the metal container and would prefer anything BUT that lol
EDIT:
I have stopped using this product because it hasn't done anything for my scars...It really was a waste of my money....every once in awhile I pull it out to just use as a moisturizer because it smells good, but that is it....It did NOTHING...so disappointed. I'm gonna be working at my Grandmother's house to get a little extra money to buy Dr. Andrew Weil's mega bright serum because that sample that I got was the ONLY thing that has worked on my skin so far... JUST DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON GARNIER....SAVE YOUR MONEY TO BUY THE MEGA BRIGHT SERUM...TRUST ME, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER
