Really disappointed in this product!! I bought it hoping that it would help to keep my makeup from melting off my face due to oil. I've used the product completely as directed, and it really did little more than get rid of powderiness. It didn't help to mattify or keep my makeup on longer. And for the price, I was severely disappointed. This might work for someone with normal to combination skin, but on my super oily skin, it did basically nothing at all.
I purchased the larger size at Sephora on a whim because I'd been fighting oiliness at work- and this really worked for me. I do not have extremely oily skin, but this spray (two sprays before foundation, two sprays after all makeup has been put on) keeps my makeup put all day and I only have to touch up my lips. My bottle has lasted over 2 months now and I don't think it is close to running out, and I will be purchasing again when it is done.
first time using this spray my makeup stayed put all day long from 6am to 6pm did not have to retouch not once i am soooooooooooooo amazed by this product.also the reason i said dirt cheap is i purchased this off of urbandecay website for14.00 BUCKS yes and it was the XL bottle.
I've almost finished my bottle and have liked it well enough. Apparently my skin isn't oily enough to warrent THIS much mattification though. When used in conjunction with a mattifying foundation+powder, it makes my face almost unnaturally matte. I think I'm going to switch back to the all-nighter spray when using mattifying foundation and keep this for use with more dewy finish foundations. It does what it claims to do and does it well, so it still gets 4 stars from me :)
In terms of keeping makeup from "melting" in hot weather, this spray is designed to control oil, not sweat. If you're a sweater, this product may not do what you expect it to.
I first used the All Nighter setting spray and decided to switch to this one during the summer. At first I didn't really see a difference between the two sprays as far as oil control goes. But then I went back and read how they suggest to use it on the bottle; spray it before you apply your makeup, then once again after you're all done. Once I started doing this, I found that the product was more effective.
It still has good staying power, my makeup lasts throughout the day, looks good, but I still get a little shiny. More than the "dewy" look my UB Naked Skin foundation gives me. If you're not super oily, I would recommend this product for you. If you tend to get on the super oily side, I would probably look for something else. But overall, a good product.
Made my face feel really tight a lot of the time, plus I think I may have broken out using it (only a couple of pimples, but still).
I did feel like my make-up stayed on better, but it wasn't worth it.
I think for the price, it should come in a better looking bottle. Its very expensive and seems to run out really fast. It smells like dryer sheets. This gave me about an hour, maybe two extra of oil freeness. I didnt see a difference between this and All Nighter as far as oil control.
I love this! I was in the school girl habit of spraying hairspray on my face to make my make up stay on all day (healthcare professionals would not reccomend) but i find this worked just as well, if not better! I have a little bit of wear and tear at the end of the day but i am prone to touching my eye make up when i look in a mirror and i have contacts so there is that added moisture factor for my make up to deal with. This has helped with the oilyness of my skin for sure. Love it!
I really thought this was a gimmick product and i was very skeptical but when i tried it i was pleasantly surprised. I used this with the urban decay naked skin . My makeup stayed nice all night and still looked good in the morning. I had tried it before and followed the directions on the bottle and it didnt do anything. But once i played around with it a little i realized it helps to spray it on before you put on the foundation it self and after you have finished with your foundation spray it again maybe 5 times. You do have to spray it alot but in my opinion and in my personal experience it does work.I also really liked it because it has no scent and if you get any on your lips it has no taste either. My skin looked just as good as when i first put my makeup on, barely any oil.
Im buying a back up because the xl bottle is currently on sale and its truly a quality product.
I really wanted to like this product, but alas, it didn't do anything good for me. I bought a small bottle around the beginning summer and it barely lasted for more than 1 month. I followed the instructions on the packaging but it never really worked the way I expected it to. I have extremely oily skin and just wanted some help from the hot weather but I don't think it prevented my makeup from melting off. Le sigh, I want to try another setting spray but I'm afraid of being disappointed. It didn't make my breakout though, so that's always nice.
