I got this a little over a week ago and have used it twice a day since. I was a little nervous at first because in the past I've had acne issues and have been using an anti-acne face wash since I was a teenager, but lately it had been drying out my face way to much to continue using it. A week later I have had no issues whatsoever. I like that it comes in a tube, but I can already see that it will be difficult to get the last little bit out. I also use it with a brush which of course will have a dramatic effect on the results. Its very gentle, doesn't over dry my skin but it also doesn't make it shiny or oily. Overall I really like it and will continue purchasing it as long as it keeps working.
This is a no frills cleanser with a very innocent ingredient list. I decided to try it because my skin in its current state is rather sensitive and doesn't fare well with a ton of ingredients. I LOVED this stuff for a while, it didn't cause breakouts or irritation, but eventually it did dry my skin out like there's no tomorrow. I am on retin-a, so I guess that's worth mentioning, but there are other cleansers I've used while on it that didn't leave my skin as Sahara like as this one did.
As for the packaging, for some reason 3 of the 4 tubes I bought really liked to leak. Even when I made sure the top was snapped on securely, I would open the tube to find a ton of product pooled in the cap and occasionally even dripping down the side.
People using harsh treatments like retin-a or chemical peels, or people suffering from chronic dryness may want to try something else. Otherwise, I feel as though this is a pretty decent cleanser.
Gave this a whirl when it was relatively new to the US. Can't say I'm a total fan though. I feel that even though it's a gel formula, it's very hard to wash off. I have to rinse so much more than any other cleanser I've used because I feel like my skin is still slippery.
Once I get all of the stuff off, it does leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed, but it's no different than any other cleanser I've used previously.
I'm very pleased after my first use of this product last night. It was recommended to me on the skin care board, and I'm glad I tried it. I wouldn't say it's my HG cleanser (that would be Clinique Facial Wash Mild), but it does pretty much what I want a DS brand cleanser to do. It removed all my MU in one washing (I lather and wipe off with a damp washcloth) and rinsed clean without leaving a residue. My skin was squeaky clean without feeling extremely tight. There's always a little tightness along the cheeks with my dry/combo skin, but it wasn't anything a little extra virgin coconut oil couldn't relieve. One thing is, I initially used about a nickel-size dollop of cleanser, which actually turned out to be too much. I wanted more lather, but I realized it's not really the nature of this product to lather much. Next time I'll use less now that I'm confident this cleanser really can remove MU well, including non-waterproof mascara. I would've given this 5 lippies, except for the lather factor, which is aesthetically important to me I guess. Package quality is ok, but be careful that you don't dispense too much like I did. I would definitely buy this product again when I can't afford my beloved Clinique.

Oily-acne prone skin. This formula works really well with my chemistry. It's VERY gentle, NO fragrance and the gel formula doesn't strip my skin. I mainly use this as a second cleanse to remove my makeup remover. A++ love it.

I got this to use with the acne.org regimen and expected it to be gentle because of the reviews here and what the label says. It totally stripped my face and dried it out. I returned it the next day.
This may be good for people with oily skin or who dont use topical acne producs.
I bought cerave foaming facewash and thats been good going on 3 weeks now. Its much more gentle with my anti-acne regimen.
My skin is normal but acne prone and sensitive.
I love this. Very gentle, a little goes a long way, fragrance free, and dirt cheap. Dosen't leave skin dry or tight. It's not a foaming cleanser, but dosen't claim to be.I've used the simple kind to skin moisturising face wash for years and only bought this because my local store had run out of my usual one. This gel is every bit as good. A face wash is something I grudge paying a lot for as it's on and off the skin in minutes, so I tend to shop for cheap effective face washes and this is certainly one of them.

I enjoy this face wash. The gel feels super nice against the skin and it leaves me feeling clean without that dry tight feeling (which I hate). I will definately be buying this again. I might add that I don't have sensitive skin, my skin handles darn near anything. The fact that the ingredients are, well, simple is an added bonus. This product line has alot of hit and misses though. The facewash is great, the moisturizers are another story and another review...
It's important to note that nowhere on this product does it claim it will cure acne. So I am not sure why there are some reviews claiming it did nothing for their acne. This is a gentle wash for sensitive skin, not an acne treatment.

Really liking this product. I used up the travel sized sample I had of it and went out and bought the full size since I liked it so much. It leaves my skin feeling very clean, has a very minimal fragrance (I find this helps my sensitive skin) and doesn't seem to be making me breakout.
I have a combination skin type and it goes from very dry to quite oily at my nose. This is nice because it is gentle and doesnt make my skin feel all tight after using it and you only need a small amount for it to do the job. However, it does make my oily nose feel oily (if that makes sense). Ive only used it a couple of times, and it is REALLY hot at the moment so that may have something to do with it, but thats my only complaint. I would buy this again definetly, it isnt very expensive yet it does do the job and doesnt make my skin smell fruity. I would recommend this to people with sensative skin and those who just want a good old fashioned cleanser.
