After reading all the good reviews I decided to try this brush. At only 3 dollars at Target, not much to loose. The bristles are very soft indeed so that was a goods sign. When I started using it, my face turned out to be a big, black, hairy mess. This brush is shedding badly!!! After the first attent to use it, I washed out, thinking maybe it'll solve the problem. Well, it didn't. The shedding continued
so my brush ended up in the trash. My experience wasn't good with it at all. Not recommending it!

My HG brush. I use it mostly for my liquid foundation and pressed powders. The hair is so soft and thick. This brush is excellent quality and I have experienced no shedding. I love the flat top which makes it easier to buff and stipple on wet products. Great affordable price for such a high quality brush!

THIS BRUSH IS AWESOME. I had no real expectations for it. I mean elf is hit or miss and it was only 3 bucks. I just needed a powder brush. But this one is the best! I use it to apply liquid foundation and it works like a dream. My skin looks airbrushed. I have only had the brush a couple weeks and the handle is loose but some glue will fix that so I am not too put off by it. I really recommend this item.
This is a great budget brush. It is very dense, the bristles are extremely soft. I use it for liquid foundation, cream blush, blending out concealer and powder. It does not shed that much at all and even after a few washes it is in perfect condition. It blends out foundation nicely on the face and gives an even application, same with many other cream products and for powders. The only thing I do not like about this brush is that it is soo dense I feel like it soaks up too much of my foundation so it's wasting more. That's why I use my MAC 187 for my foundation, it doesn't soak up as much so I'll only be giving this brush a 3 because there are brushes that can do better. But I recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to spend $40+ on a brush and if you don't like it, hey it was only $3!

I've recently started using brushes to apply and blend my foundation and I picked this one at target for $3...just $3!!!! I almost assumed that it was going to shed and make my foundation application streaky. It was definitely worth the buy!! I pulled on the brush quite a few times and absolutely no shredding! And the bristles are amazingly soft. It blended so effortlessly. I am so impressed and so glad I got this!
I love it! It's soft, but really dense. I use it to stipple on my Almay Clear Complexion (liquid) foundation. It makes the foundation look so smooth and pretty on my face, and it's much quicker than using my fingers like I used to do. So worth the $3.00. I highly recommend it. Now I'm excited to try more of ELF's Studio Brushes.
Ok, I'm not totally sure if it's EXACTLY the same as my MAC 187, but it's 99% there, and for $3, I definitely prefer it!!! Stop buying expensive brushes and buy this! HGHGHGHGHGHGHG!!!!!!!!

This is my favorite brush. I use it for tinted moisturizer, foundation, powder, blush, and bronzer! This is the most versatile brush I have ever bought. Will definitely buy again.
I love this brush! This is one of the first brushes I have purchased and I use it for liquid foundation (loreal true match in n1) and I use the brush to stipple it onto my face. This brush gives me such a flawless, airbrushed look! This brush could be so much more expensive for the quality but even if it doesn't work for you its only $3! Great buy!

BEST. BRUSH. EVER. It simply cannot be beat (and this is coming from someone who usually uses MAC brushes).
First things first: This is one of the most versatile brushes that I own. It's great for buffing powders into the skin, blending liquid foundation (I prefer using this than most conventional foundation brushes), and applying blush and bronzer (especially creams). It's really nice if you tilt it to the side a little and use it to contour the hollows of your cheek bones as well!
The bristles on this brush are Taklon and extremely soft! The brush is very densely packed as well, which makes for excellent blending. I love dabbing my liquid foundation on my face, then using this brush to buff it in. It makes for the most flawless, air-brushed finish ever. I can't even apply liquid foundation with anything else now! I would pay over $30 for a brush of this quality!
I haven't noticed any shedding yet, but I will comment on the fact that if you're not careful when washing, the water will sink down and loosen the glue on this brush, causing it to come apart. This happened to me, but at only $3, I can comfortably afford another. How could you go wrong with something SO cheap and SO high quality?
E.L.F. products are hit or miss really, but they nailed it with this! I'd give it 10/5 if I could.
