My sister gave this to me when she got a different moisturizer. I found back in the summer when the air wasn't dry and my skin was better, it did a better job. Now it's winter and my skin is dry and broken out and this does next to nothing to help. It's good if you need a really quick moisurization. It didn't break me out, but it didn't clear anything up either. I'd say go for it if you have slightly dry skin, but anything more, try a different moisturizer.
This is a reliable, basic moisturizer that I always end up coming back to. It sinks in well and does not irritate my incredibly sensitive, clog-prone, acne-prone skin. I feel like my skin glows when I use this. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love the lotion version of this! It is one of the few products I have purchased probably dozens of times. It moisturizes without being greasy and provides a bit of stable sun protection that is not stingy or irritating, even near my eyes. The combo of 3% zinc oxide and 6% octinoxate is stable and can be used with mmu. Though PPD factor is pretty low (2-4 at best) I find that it is perfect for me as I am not exposed too much sun at all due to my schedule. It is one of the few sunscreens I can actually get the full 1/4th tsp of on my face without looking like a grease-ball (you need to apply this much of any spf product to get the full label protection). If anything, my skin looks soft and hydrated with it on, and I get many compliments. I've even turned my DH onto it as it doesn't seem too "girlie" and the zinc actually calms some redness and oilyness he has. It is uber-affordable, and I will certainly continue to purchase. As a final aside, to those who don't wish to use this product due to Olay's animal testing, both CVS and Riteaid versions don't test and have no animal ingredients. I have used and like the CVS version, but I find the consistency is a bit thicker and the pump packaging creates product waste.
My everyday moisturizer, instantly sinks into my skin, leaving it soft and slightly oily. When I just want to wear powder I wear only this underneath. I use the old formula of course, with the stable SPF ingredients (Zinc oxide and Octinoxate).
The only problem is that if I use too much it leaves a layer of oil on my face. I find a nickel sized lump is my ideal. Otherwise, it's a cheap, high-quality lotion for everyday use. I spread it on my face, neck (and chest during the summer).
Wish it came in a squeeze tube, but this is not bad. Hard to get every last drop out though. I store it upside down when it's getting low and it tends to overflow once I remove the cap.
I have been using this product (the classic gentle formula) for years. It does what I need it to do - moisturize my skin and provide broad-spectrum protection from the sun. It does not irritate my skin and eyes or cause/worsen breakouts. I'm a woman of color and if you apply generously (like I do), it can appear white at first, but then after a few minutes it sinks in. My only con is that sometimes my T-zone can get oily with this on, but that is not enough to affect my rating. Overall, this is a valuable product in both my husband's and my skincare regimen. Will rebuy again and again.
I can't believe I haven't written a review for this! I tried this in the past and chucked it since it didn't do anything to improve my skin. I gave it to my brother and sister who have had horrible acne and it helped clear it up. Here I am years upon years later and my skin is awful. It's oily, acne covered & prone, my skin is clogged, and the pores on my cheeks look like an orange rind. I needed an overhaul and that's just what I did. I actually am using the Target (up & up) version of this since it's half the price ($4.97 Target vs $9.90something Olay). It's done wonders for my skin and has truly helped along with my AHA lotion & Purpose cleanser. Gentle is the best way to go if you have acne & clog prone skin. I just can't sing enough praises and will forever be using this. continued >>

Works decent during the winter but u ll def need a better protection during the summer. It's a good product for a drugstore brand and you get a lot for the price, but I really grow to hate the feeling of the thick white pure sunscreen on my face in the morning, I will continue to look for a better one with more moisturizing qualities and less sunscreen smell, but I ll keep it in my drawyer with my Aveeno one just in case I won't have anything better at the moment.
I have used this since I was 16 years old. I will say you get a lot of product for your money. But you don't get very much protection. In the summer my skin gets very tan. It may be good in the winter time. My skin loves the moisture this product brings but I'm going to have to find a new product with better uva protection. Edit 4/24/2012 guess there is a reason I have been using this since I was 16 I have not used this in a long time and broke down and bought another bottle because i haven't found anything else i like!!! I fell in love with this all over, it plump my skin and since I'm an online college student I don't need the high spf during the week since I'm in the house most of the time!! On the weekends I do use a different sunscreen with higher spf! But I love what the moisturizer does for my skin, plump it up and drys to a dewy finish (love that) it makes me have a glow!!!! I really like the bottle, it's cute to me and easy to travel with I don't want a pump! And if I did I could always put the product in my old eucerin face spf 30 bottle...
didnt irritate my skin or break me out, but didnt improve my skin either. the formula is watery and i would be great if there was a pump. you get alot for your money so i cant complain.
I first started using this in "Normal" but I think it broke me out so I switched to the 'Sensitive' version.
The good:
-I have no breakouts that I can link to my use of this product
-It has no smell, at least none that I can detect.
-It have a great texture, very light, not oily. It spreads nice and smooth and only a few dabs are needed.
-It doesn't give a white-ish cast that some sunscreen moisturizers do.
The bad:
-It doesn't give a matte finish but not shiny either
(so this is not necessarily a con but a matte finish would make it a pro for me).
