Been hankering for this perfume all year and finally got a bottle for my birthday. I just love it, it's so sophisticated and fresh with a powdery but beautiful finish. I agree it does smell kind of like fresh linen but seriously how good is it to smell clean and fresh. It's so easy to wear, I find some perfumes headache inducing but this one is gorgeous and it gets better as the day goes on. Like some people have said it is a bit lacking in staying power but I don't mind this as I find perfumes that last all day too strong to start with. Happy to reapply as needed. So far I've had great comments on this perfume and my husband adores it, just thinking about it makes me want to put some on!
This is the perfect fragrance for when you want to wear something but aren't sure what. It's appropriate for every occasion; I'd both get married in this and wear it to the ShopRite Can Can sale.
A little bit floral, a little bit powdery, fresh, ageless, minimalist. It lasts quite a long time on me. I sprayed this on myself at Ulta many, many times before I bought it, always thinking: this is such a pleasant, everyday sort of a scent but not special enough to buy. And then I realized that far more of my life is spent at ShopRite than at Cuir-de-Russie-worthy charity balls, and there really was a place on my dresser for a perfectly lovely everyday scent. I have been very happy with this purchase.
most of the perfumes was at first nice but later, I somekind of hated them.. and they made me nausea. my nose is very sensetive, and i don't wear perfume so much. I think this is what i have been looking for so long. Its very clean and fresh. I agree with the other reviews, people say it smells like clean linen but I don't care. I feel very comfortable wearing it..
I can't say enough good things about this scent. After reading all the reviews on here, I was compelled enough to purchase a sample. I have been wearing it for the last week, just because the smell is so fresh and comforting, unlike anything else in my perfume collection. My boyfriend said at first I smell like "dish detergent" (what does he know?!) but after a while, he told me he really liked the soft and clean smell. It does have some powdery notes to it, but it's not over the top and it settles down into a fresh, green scent. There is only one word that comes to mind when I wear this and that's "lovely"! Definitely had to buy a bottle of this.
This is really pretty and clean. I'm surprised that I like it, because I'm not really into clean or powdery scents and there are very few florals that I like. I get a clean, crisp, slightly powdery iris top note. The dry down is a slightly green/floral skin scent on me. I don't get the heavy powder/dust/grandma's house aroma that some reviewers (on Sephora, don't know about here) have complained of.
Nice, subtle earthy scent, more mature than many other popular designer brands (when I say more mature, I mean that it doesn't smell like cupcakes or fruit punch). I did like it a lot, but I tend to bend more toward louder fragrances. This one does not assert itself, and because of this I think it would be a great fragrance for work, and to me that fits because it is the smell of sophistication, tastefulness and cleanliness (there is a little soapiness to it, but it's not a bad thing; it smells quite nice). I swapped the perfume I got in a gift set, but I kept the lotion to wear sometimes. I will prob buy a bigger bottle to keep sooner or later.
I found this perfume courtesy of a magazine ad. Just one sniff and I was hooked. The scent was unlike anything I had encountered before, and small wonder thanks to all the exotic ingredients. It was heaven in a bottle, and I would swim in it if I could. I was a little hesitant about the price tag, but when a friend gave me a $50 Nordstrom gift card, I immediately purchased a bottle. I wore it every day, and people were constantly complimenting me and asking what the fragrance was. I use the pretty sample envelope as a bookmark, so it is easy to show people the logo.
When the first bottle ran out, I bought another on Ebay for about $15. It was the largest size available too, and since the seller also had the matching lotion, I bought that as well for another $10. I eventually got the shower gel, a roller perfume to keep in my purse, and even a few candles, all on Ebay. Once I received a bottle that just wasn't quite right, and so I looked online and found a website that outlined how to tell if a bottle was a fake. It turned out to be less than genuine, and Ebay gave me a complete refund. I bought a new bottle from a different seller, and it was perfect. I'm on my sixth bottle so far, and only the first one was bought retail. Shopping on Ebay might not be for everyone, but it allows me to buy designer brands like Prada for a fraction of the cost.
This is easily my favorite perfume, although I love Juicy Couture and Marc Jacobs too. Who says you have to pick just one perfume to wear anyway? This one has a unique, exotic spicy quality to it, thanks to the iris, cedar, orange blossom, frankincense and a host of other scents that are no doubt proprietary secrets. It is feminine, but not flowery, fruity, sweet, or musky. I have a deep aversion to musk and patchouli, as they tend to make a perfume cloying, heavy and way too pervasive. This is light, but with a rich depth to it, and will always be the bottle I reach for first.
I am obsessed with this perfume, yet I have no idea why. I first smelled it at a friends house and really liked it. I then sprayed it on a couple of weeks later at Sephora and kept smelling myself and loving it. I am terrible at describing scents, but I find it very warm and comforting, powdery, but also fresh (doesn't make sense at all right?). A few days later I could still smell it on my scarf and I loved it even more. All my other perfumes, even the ones I love, seemed ordinary and boring in comparison, so I had to go out and buy it. I bought it a few weeks ago and I've worn it almost every day and I still love it. However, I'm not sure if other people love it. The other day I had just sprayed some on and my roommate walked past and asked my in surprise if I had decided to start using hairspray (uh, no, it's my perfume, thank you). And that friend who introduced me to this perfume? She decided to sell it on Ebay, because she doesn't like it at all. It's not a perfume I've received compliments on, but it is a perfume that I love and that makes me feel comforted and special, and therefore I wear it all the time. I wish it lasted a little bit longer on my skin though, but luckily it does last a very long time on clothes. Would buy again.
Love the smell. It is subtle which is perfect for office use. The staying power is so so. I like the pacakage a lot.
I was drawn to the unique scent of this fragrance. I'm sick unto death of the fruity floral trend and so any time I can find a nice floral of any variety, be it "clean" or "1000 flowers" type, I'm always pleased to get something that doesn't smell like everything else and this was a refreshing find. I was first introduced to it b/c of an extra in another fragrance swap and Guess64 kindly included a sample vial. After a single wearing, I picked up a used 50 ml EDP from eBay.
I'm not really a bottle collector, and have no issue tossing them out when the juice is done. I can however appreciate their design. I like the clean lines of this one, simple, understated, but with a bit of flair in the engraved Prada seal on the front. The info label is printed on a light green paper label on the side of the bottle, as opposed to the base and the lid is embellished with the same paper wrap as the label. The only drawback I can see to this is that eventually smudges and fingerprints will accumulate on this, especially if it is a persons signature fragrance and would probably look dirty.
The juice, to my nose, is pretty linear. What is smells like in the bottle and the initial spray, is what it smells like on the skin/clothes. While the notes are described as, "mandarin, galbanum, orange and orange blossom which lead to the heart composed of iris, cedar and vetiver. The base is composed of incense and benzoin," I mostly pick up on the iris, benzoin, cedar, and a bit of the incense with the mandarin wafting in and out. To me, it's a wonderful blend that smells clean, herbal, and earthy all at the same time, which is splendid since I rarely find those fragrances appealing to my taste.
The sillage of this is pretty minimal and it stayed close to my skin. A review I had read of this stated that it was somewhat weak for an EDP, and that was my feeling as well. Typically I'll do three sprays of most fragrances (wrist, neck, back of neck) and I can smell it for at least 3-4 hours as my body chemistry renders most fragrances inert in an infuriatingly short amount of time. After 20 minutes I could barely notice it at all and so I doubled the sprays and it smelled like I believed it ought to. Now the interesting thing about this fragrance is that once it dries down, even when doubling it up, it seems to disappear, then suddenly it makes a comeback. It seemed to do this throughout the evening, having applied it about 5:15 at night and heading to a dinner party that lasted till 8:30. The only downside is that once I got home at about 9:00, I couldn't smell it at all. It was COMPLETELY gone, with not even that faint whiff that clings to almost every other fragrance I own.
In all, it's very pleasant though I probably won't but it again. My 50 ml bottle will last me several years and live happily in my hallway perfume cabinet with the other bottles that i pull out a few times a year to douse myself with.
If you're considering purchasing this blind, I encourage you to seek out a sample or decant first, then pick it up from one of the online discounters, www.perfumezone.net carries it for a bit over 25% off and of course, eBay can be patrolled for amazing deals that pop up from time to time (I got my almost completely full "used" 50 ml for less than $25 even after shipping).
