I bought as part of a trial kit. It is great as a leave in conditioner for me. I have thick long middle eastern hair, its been in bad shape lately from lack of protein ( Keratin treatments). My hairs been lacking moisture and shine, I find this helps a lot, but don't use TOO much or else you will be unable to style hair and it will weight it down a lot (and i usually seek products which weight my hair down a little).
My hair type: 2c/3a
I LOVE this product. It really works. The olive oil and silicones tame my dry frizzy top layers and leave my hair so soft and silky and yes, SHINY. You can have shine with curly hair! It works best when massaged into wet hair and if necessary you can put a tiny amount into the ends of dry hair. This product is the solution to dry frizzy ends that may have been damaged by heat styling. (On that topic, ladies I highly recommend heated rollers - they do not damage your hair like heated tongs and straighteners). Glossing cream also leaves my hair smooth, silky soft and frizz-free the next day. I combine this product with inexpensive sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner (the Nature's Organics Organic Care range made in Australia) and the condition of my hair is excellent. If you can source Glossing Cream at a discounted price get some. If not, it's worth the price anyway as it works and you only need a small amount. Please note that this product really benefits unruly frizzy, curly or slightly dry hair. If you already have very shiny straight hair you don't need it and you can't improve on that anyway! This product has a nice smell, pleasant creamy consistency and good quality ingredients. Olive oil works because it is one of only three oils that penetrate the hair shaft (the others are coconut and avocado oil) so look for these ingredients in hair products. FF's Glossing Cream is my HG of hair products!
I received some free sample packets of the Glossing Creme as part of my Bzz kit for the Fekkai campaign. I have been using this creme as directed (pea sized amount on damp or dry hair). I have to say this is great for smoothing frizzies and moisturizing dry ends.My hair glows after using it, too.
You just rub a tiny amount between your hands and then rub it over your hair. I even massage the residue into the skin on my hands afterwards, and it moisturizes them too- no stickiness like with other hair products! The creme has a very outdoorsy smell- fresh and not too strong, in my opinion. I love the way it makes my hair look and feel, and I don't need the silicone frizz serum or other finishing products when I use this. I had to use at least a quarter size dollop of those products to have acceptable results.
It will take a little while to use all of the packets, but I will definitely buy some when I get low on the freebies. I would replace a few DS products, so it is actually cost-effective to buy the more expensive Fekkai creme.
Restrained use is the secret to success with this product. A small amount will transform a blow-dry beyond the ordinary. Overstep the line though and you'll be re-washing your hair.
This glossing cream is perfect for brunette hair! I use a dime-sized amount on towel-dried hair after shampoo/conditioner/leave-conditioner, then blow dry and flat iron. I have dark brown hair and it works wonders to add shine, like Mila Kunis-style shine. This stuff is worth the price (I got the 7oz size for $36.50 from the Canadian site ebeauty.ca: http://bit.ly/rlOWpg) I've tried a few cheaper glossing serums, and they work for a bit but I find that after awhile they leave my hair greasy and sometimes sticky, but this stuff just leaves my hair incredibly smooth.
I had received a sample of this a while ago. Loved it!! Made my hair so glossy, soft and manageable. When I ran out I freaked at the price tag and bought some cheapo styling cream. BIG mistake! I had been using moroccan oil and happy with it, but recently I noticed my hair losing its previous luster. Probably from frequest highlighting. I remembered this product, bite the bullet and bought it. It's as wonderful as I remember it being. The next time I wash my hair, I'm going to try using just the moroccan oil on my ends and this product throughout to see the results.
Amazing. I have a little size, I swear it has lasted me well over a year. It's just now beginning to look empty and I'm worried about running out of it. I have hair that comes to about my armpits. I use a penny-size amount and rub it in my palms then run it through just the ends of my hair. Smells so good. Expensive. But lasts quite a while. I can't imagine how long the big size would last if the tiny size has been in my kit for over a year.
I hate running out of this stuff. Luckily, this doesn't happen too often. Just a pea size amount gives my flat-ironed hair a healthy shine that lasts all day... and the next day... and the next. I have hair past my shoulders, and a single bottle of this lasts me a year easily. I apply after ironing, but only midshaft to ends and on very damaged parts, but never on the underneath hair or close to the hairline (it will make you oily and/or break out).
Rave reviews motivated my purchase f/Ulta. Because it's pricey, I got the 4 oz size for $24. With my short, angled bob, only a pea-size quantity is necessary, beginning with the ends and working only 1/2 way up the hair. I follow with mousse or thickening spray. The product effectively calms the frizzies, smoothing the hair shaft and makes the ends pretty well moisturized. After having a salon visit with hilites and lowlites I required something more moisurizing for a leave-in formula. In addition, after blow-drying I added just a a tiny amount. I would definitely re-purchase.
I think this product does exactly what it says - adds gloss and it defrizzes me a bit. That said, any oil will defrizz me and make me shiny, but I like the smell of this, the consistency and it does add a ton of shine. I have ony tried it thus far on dry hair when the frizzes are killing me, and it adds shine and smooths my hair down without destroying the curl or volume. If you use too much, yes it can look greasy, definitely, but it's so hot right now and I go to the gym right now alot so I have to wash my hair anyway more often. That said, once it sits for a while in my dry hair, my hair becomes soft and shiny, and it looks super healthy. I am going to dry the glossing shampoo and conditioner again as well as see if that works even better, and use this in my wet hair, maybe even tonight!
