This is a really medium to full-coverage BB cream that is buildable. This covered my rosacea, the problem is that is has too much of a pinky tint to it so my face looked more pink than neutral and neutral is what I am trying to achieve. I would advise using this formula over the Triple the Solution if you need a pink tone, but the Triple has more of a neutral to yellow tone. I have extremely sensitive, dry skin and this did not aggravate it. I wore it with Lanacane chafing gel which I use as a primer (the best I have ever used) and it lasted over 10 hours. Definitely a good alternative to foundation.
For reference, my skin tone is NC25 and this matches me perfectly.
I have tried some BB creams and switch off between this one and Missha Perfect Cover.
Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream offers medium coverage that is buildable. I've read that this BB cream offers the best coverage out of most, if not all, BB creams and I would agree based on my own experience.
It stays on my skin the entire day (using primer, not sure how well it would be without primer). It produces less oil than Missha does and doesn't make pimples look as dry as the Missha does.
Some of it does rub off easily though, but not all. The only other con I can think of is the pump dispenser - one full pump delivers a tad too much for my entire face. Instead, I do mini-pumps that allow little bits of the product to come out. Also, some product gets on the cap when you put it back on due to product left on the opening.
Some people think it's thick/heavy, but I don't notice it. The Missha comes out heavier but applies on light. To me, Lioele comes out lighter but applies slightly heavier.
It is very affordable, especially for how long it lasts (50g). I've used it consistently for over a year and I still have product left.
when i was researching on bb creams and couldnt decide which one to buy, i just tried a whole bunch of samples of different brands and kinds. this lioele one was the best out of all that i tried.
the coverage can go up to full if you layer enough but it looks very natural, although i have some dry spots and they'll be emphasized when you put this product on but i guess thats the case for all bb creams and foundations. i dont see this bb cream as having a dewy finish like most bb creams. the finish is sort of matte but not completely. the color is not as light as most bb creams. i find that the color of this one suits me fine (im nc20 with yellow undertones) but it also suits my friend (nc30). i read somewhere that this bb cream blends into your skin so it doesnt really matter if the color on the tube doesnt match the color of your skin because it will "adapt" to it.
i guess my only problem with this bb cream is that it feels a bit of heavy on me (maybe you guys shouldnt take my word on this because i dont wear foundation so i might just not be used to it). also if i wear it too often , lets say three days straight, i could get one or two zits. im not sure if its the products fault though because this happens to me every time i wear makeup for too long.
the packaging is very cute but sometimes some residue is left on the pump so the cap becomes dirty. i bought mine off of ebay for $17. i apply this bb cream with just my fingers.
i probably would buy this bb cream again after a while, but i think im going to try foundation first.
i got this bb cream in 5ml sample size. its coverage is perfect. it makes my skin look flawless. it only comes in 1 shade but after it oxidize it matches my skin tone. the smell is flowery, but it's not strong. i have a horrible under eye circle but this one can almost cover it, i still use some concealer though. it doesn't broke me out. the oil control is fairly good, i don't have to use powder after this bb cream.
it contais paraben if you're wondering.
but i may think twice if i should buy this in original 50ml tube or not.
This was my first BB cream and I have to say...it just didn't work as a foundation for me. I am 44 years old so I have the "mature" skin thing going on. Finding a foundation that works for me is quite difficult. Don't want full coverage but don't want a tinted moisturizer. I had heard good things about this so I thought...why not? The packaging is fantastic and I absolutely love the tube and pump. I love the consistency and it does give me the coverage I need. One problem. I broke out. WHAT??? I never have breakouts. So what I will use this for is not a foundation but as a concealer because it is the BEST undereye concealer I have ever found. I have crazy dark circles under my eyes and this stuff hides them better than anything I have ever used. So while I am still on the hunt for my HG foundation...I did find what may become my HG concealer. :)
This just really wasnt for me. i bought it because i heard it stayed away from those ashy grey colors like a lot of bb creams have and that it was good for lighter skin. but it really wasnt. it worked great for about a week..then i dont know what happened. it just stopped oxidizing and made my face like 3 times too dark..it was pretty weird. and it has a weird texture that makes my face feel all grainy..
I've been a fan of BB cream for 4 on going years now~ Amongst my favourites are Skin79 VIP Gold Label, Lioele Waterdrop and this.
I've heard a lot of good reviews on the Triple the Solution (TtS) BB, but the consistency of it really put me off since I love light coverage and natural make up. When I first researched this, I was intrigued as it was the first BB cream I came across that did not have SPF (SPF tend to wash me out in photos so this was a good thing) and received relatively poor reviews compared to TtS. However, being me... a BB cream collector.. I got it.
LOVE the packaging. It came in a nicely sturdy box and the bottle packaging is nice too. It has a hygienic pump, and each pump should be enough to provide an even coverage. As I have quite clear skin, I don't even do a full pump, but of course, adjust this for your own preference/needs. But I must note that the pump must be completely clean before you close the cap, otherwise it might smudge on it.
Unlike most BB creams (eg. Skin79 and Missha Perfect Cover) that are quite thick, this feels more liquidy and more like a tinted moisturizer, but not as light as the Lioele Water Drop. On my skin (NC20/25) which is fairly clear with only a few pigmentation and blemishes, one pump is enough to cover my entire face. The finish this leaves is amazing. I'm not really a fan of the dewy look as I think it makes my skin look like plastic. This gives a natural glow to my skin while evening out my skin tone. I think that unlike Skin79 which has a grey undertone, you don't need to wait for the BtS to adjust to your skin, which is great for us girls who rush in the mornings ^_^! *coughcough* (me) It's quite peachy and has a more yellowy undertone.
I normally apply this at 8am, and come home at 6pm, and it's still on my face. Although sometimes when I remember I do touch up with a bit of pressed powder during the day.
I'm quite impressed as the oil on my face doesn't break out as it does with most BB creams ~ Very good oil control. It's doesn't cake throughout the day. OH and the best thing? It does not oxidize during the day which I think that the Missha Perfect Cover does too much of. By the time I look in the mirror 2 hours later I applied my make up. It looks like I'm NC 30 from a NC 20.
Thoroughly impressed by this BB cream and don't understand why it has such a low rating. I think the cons is that when people purchase a BB cream they expect it to have whitening properties or some sort. Which this does not mention having. I would prefer this to a BB cream that claims to do wonders to your skin. However saying that, it does feel a bit heavy on my face (like something is on there), but it doesn't break me out. I would definitely recommend this to you all.
I sincerely hope that this review helped you ^_^
I dont have anything bad to say about this except that its too heavy and I personally dont like heavy foundations, it didnt break me out, it has great coverage, pleasant smell, and the packaging is too freakin cute!
But its a miss for me, wouldnt buy again because I just hate the mask feeling with heavy foundations, but the coverage with this is incredible, I dont think youll need primer or powder with this bb cream, you can use this alone and itll be enough to cover anything and everything
the color is also too dark for me, its sort of yellowish, beige-ish but it might suit other people
i heard great reviews on this i tried it out oh i loved it and than when it oxidized into my skin it turned pink and reddish i was really disappointed that it did that it gave great coverage but if it stayed that color and had not oxides i would have repurchase
This has been my first BB cream, but if I never try any other brand I wouldn't mind. I use this product every time I wear makeup and would gladly purchase a second tube.
Bare bones version of review: Lightweight, long-lasting formula that applies easily. Gives a healthy-looking complexion and a sweet dewy finish. But beware of shine! Powder is your friend. I agree with other reviews that say this shade is for those around NC-20-25. And a tube will last you a good long time because a little goes a long way.
As for the details, it's pale, especially if it's thickly layered on all over the face (I'm ~NC-25).
Not harsh or heavy on skin. Haven't had breakouts, but I don't have sensitive skin, so I'm not a reliable source. It feels slightly sticky all day, but powder helps.
Great medium coverage. Half a pump is enough to cover/soften my small freckles, pore issues, and acne hyperpigmentation on the tops of my cheeks and T-zone (I don't put it all over my face). Texture is between that of a liquid foundation and a thick lotion, which is easy to pat on smoothly and quickly with fingers. Lets my skin peek through for a natural-looking, my-skin-but-better effect. It can be layered on as a concealer, but I prefer using my Bare Minerals foundation for that.
Great, natural glow. Love the dewy finish, but I also very lightly dust Bare Minerals foundation and translucent powder to help tone down excessive shine due to my oily skin and generous use of sunscreen. No need for a highlight on the high points of my face--looks like sunshine is on me all day. My skin looks hydrated and healthy. Moisturizing formula. Two big thumbs up.
Impressive lasting power. Slides around a little bit on my nose and chin due to my oily skin, but does stay on until I remove it 8-12 hours later. I don't use primer, so this is great! I get gradually shinier starting within ~ two hours of application, but powder in the morning and oil blotting sheets later in the day help.
As for other details--it has a nifty pump. Smells lovely--a floral scent that is strong but not pungent. This was a gift, but I know it costs $18 for 50 ml off of a site. Still have plenty after five months of use because not much is needed for this product to do its magic. If I use a full pump's worth, my skin looks perfect, too perfect since I like a more natural look, and I end up having more product than I really know what to do with. It's moisturizing so too much of it means there's more product that can slide around where I'm especially oily.
I feel pretty awesome with this BB cream (plus powder), a light touch of lipstick, and brow powder as the only makeup products on my face. It gives the skin a gorgeous, healthy glow that photographs beautifully in my experience, though I haven't tried it without powder.
