Perfect for a dark, sophisticated nail that doesn't look too gothy. I wear this to work often, as it looks great with short nails.
Only quibble is that it is very, very dark once the second coat is applied and I would prefer it to be closer to the colour it is in the bottle.
I'm already halfway through this one and will definitely be picking up a second bottle in the near future.
OPI Black Cherry Chutney is a deep purple/wine colour with a red shimmer. This colour looks amazing in the sunlight and under artificial light as this is when the shimmer is most noticeable. The polish is super shiny and glossy with a smooth finish. Application was easy and Black Cherry Chutney was opaque in 2 coats. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a dark nail colour. I purchased this from David Jones for $20AUD.
I am so in love with this color. I love deep, dark, vampy polishes so why it took me so long to buy this one is a mystery. In two coats this is a very deep red; in three coats this is almost black. Personally I prefer 3 coats, but it's pretty even if you don't want to go super dark. my only minor complaint is that it can be a bit chippy, but a good 'no chip' top coat fixes that. Definite HG for me.
I agree w/ most reviews on this color. I love the mysterious deep sultry color. You really can't appreciate this color unless you are in direct sunlight. With two coats, you'll get a dark even color w/ visable micro-sparkles deep within the color. You really don't need more than two coats w/ this-it will become too dark. I normally don't wear dark shades, but this is very pretty.
LOVE this color! It is my new go to color. I go between this and lincoln park at midnight (NOT dark). I find the dark colors with sheen last longer. This color reminds me of a fine dark red wine.
I love this color! Very work appropriate. It is a shimmer polish but it's nothing flamboyant....definitely recommend this shade. Plus u can't go wrong with OPI's formula I am addicted!
Of all the OPI polishes I've tried so far, this has got to be my favorite! It looks sparkly and reddish purple in the bottle, and the color translated well onto my nails and retained a subtle sparkle. LOVE it!
I usually only wear light sheer colors on my fingers, but once in a while I get the urge for some dark color in the winter. This color looks a lot less purple and a lot less sparkly on my fingers than it does in the bottle which is a good thing since I am not into purple or sparkles. I picked it because my manicurist said it looked really pretty on. It is quite dark and quite shiny without being sparkly. My skin is pretty light with yellowish undertones and this color compliments it nicely. I am hoping that it has some staying power. I am looking forward to getting my pedicure with this color. I think it will be a great toe color.
I'm a blue eyed blonde and I keep a pretty good tan up about 75% of the time. And I'm not really into "vampy" colors, because I feel like I just can't pull them off. I only put color on my toes, nails are french acryllics. But tomorrow is New Years Eve, and I wanted a sexy pretty color and like most women, wear colors that fit the season. It was gorgeous in the bottle, loved the red microshimmer... got it on my toes tonight, and it is very pretty! I have Russian Navy, and while that's a very pretty color too, it's too vampy for me, too "cool toned" - this is almost as dark, but warmer and I can pull it off. I wish there was more of a shimmer to it though, because I LOVE how it looks in the bottle in the sun. BUT... It is very pretty on my toes. VERY glossy, and just looking down at my toes, without being in the sunlight, I can tell there's a deep black cherry tone to it, even though the shimmer doesn't show through well without direct light. I usually wear all shades of shimmery reds/wines during the winter that are very similar to Bogata Blackberry and I'm not really a waitress, and this is a nice change. I'm not sure I'll run out, but if I do, I would repurchase.
