I really hate this lip balm. It made my lips feel more chapped, and I found myself reapplying all the time. To be honest, the only thing I like about it is the colorful tube. To make it worse, I got a red rash on the sides of my lips from it! I had to take an expensive trip to the dermatologist to get rid of it!
I bought this based on reviews here, and really saw zero difference compared to other lip balms. I wasn't bothered by the smell though.
I have been using the Blue tube (clear) for over a year now, and probably have repurchased over a dozen times. I keep one in my purse, in the bathroom, and one in my desk at work!
I didn't notice the smell that others had eluded to. I think it smells slightly fruity, almost like gum if that makes sense! (and yup, I totally got mine out of my desk and sniffed it just now haha).
The texture is very smooth. It reminds me of the Silk & Shine lip balm by Blistex. It leaves a glossy finish. I like that it doesn't leave that white residue that I notice some lip balms give off.
It works very well under all of my lipsticks and lip glosses. It doesn't make them run or bleed, which is a huge plus...or clump, which tends to happen to me sometimes with some of the chapstick brands!
I have not tried any of the tinted ones from this line, so I cannot give an opinion on those.
I often get them in two packs that they will sell from time to time at Target and they end up being cheaper than buying them single, so that's a good value. :)
idk why, this "baby lips" in Indonesia is different from packaging and its "no-tinted" thingy.
so far for this 3-day trial i find my lip softer. when i applied some of my lipstick which always caused my lips to be chapped, after i used this "baby" the chapped things i afraid of didn't happened. amazing O_O~
and when its applied, it feels like butter, have a nice-soft smell of some fruits, and my lips looks a lil bit shiny-shiny, but it fades as time goes by and gives a natural healthy look on my lips and made it softer.
the type of my lips are a bit dry but it's sensitive to lipstick and can cause them to be chapped.
I like this lipbalm (menthol) it gives my lips this dewy moist finish that can make your face better. It really doesn't promise this 8 hour moisture thing but I love how it makes my lips absolutely soft and ready to be kissed (lol)
I am definitely a lip product junkie. I'm always trying out new lip balms and chap sticks. I bought the pink fruit punch baby lips in Walmart and decided to give it a try. I would give this product an average OK rating. It's not anything amazing but it's not horrible either. First off, I love the smell, it's AMAZING. It smells like strawberry fruit punch candy or something. The packaging is cute, I like the design. The color I picked was a little too light of pink for my skintone so when I use it I can only use a little or it just washes me out. As for what it did for my lips, it didn't really make a difference. It wasn't as moisturizing as I expected. It doesn't even come close to my Carmax chapstick or even my MAC tinted lip conditioner. Those are the products I go to when I want healthier and softer lips. Overall the best thing about the Baby Lips is the amazing smell lol if it weren't for that I don't even think I would keep it around. Yes the color is nice but I think they should have made more colors too. I won't be repurchasing it since it didn't do anything for my lips but I will use up the one I already bought.
I have the really pink lip color one. I actually like the color on my medium skin. The smell is yummy haha the texture is smooth but not like a balm. No staying power whatsoever and it made my lips feel chapped when I first started to use it but not anymore. I dab some on and it really adds softness to my face overall!
I do not like this I when I first tried it I thought well maybe I need to give it more time so I can get use to it. Nope I have the taste it is just sooo chemically the chapstick itself feel like I put grease on my lips and I just have nothing nice to say it has dried my lips so I just use skittle smuckers lip balm and that keeps my lips happy. This is just a fail.
I have this lip balm in the blue tube and pink writing.
I hate this lip balm.
Lip balm plays a huge part in my makeup routine because I think soft, luscious lips always finish the look.
I'm giving this only 1 lippie because of the smell.
I HATE THE SMELL, it smells like plasticy floral and fruits. It's so overpowering that when i opened the cap, the smell was already making me dizzy.
I like my products to have a slight, pleasant smell or no smell at all is tolerable.
But this smell is just... URGH.
Definitely not purchasing again.
It doesn't moisturize my lips for some reason, it makes the dead skin flake up and fades away really quickly.
No likey over there.
I usually don't give such low ratings but I hate this lip balm so this is an exception.
UPDATE: So, I decided to give the baby lips another try. Instead of purchasing it again in berry, I decided to buy the smoothing cherry one. Oh my, this one smells heavenly. It was around RP 18,900. Which is very cheap for a lip product so heavily advertised. The only downside is, as the previous lip balm, it kind of lacks in moisturizing, it wasn't as bad as my berry one but I could feel flakes flicking up after 4 hours of usage. I could feel the lip balm still there but I don't think it was moisturizing anymore. Overall, 4 points for being cheap, moisturizing, smelling nice but 1 lippie lost for not being as long lasting as it promised.
So, after seeing their ads so many times and seeing it promoted all over websites, I decided to give this baby a shot..
HA, wasn't the best idea ever.
1. Gave my lips an overly glossy finish, making my lips feel sticky and uncomfortable.
2. I had to reapply it every 10 minutes because it faded incredibly fast.
3. Smells really good (quenched) but THAT IS ALL.
I noticed how my lips were just dry and terrible, and when I coated this over my lips, it'd just make my chapped, dry, flaky lips extremely wet looking. Not a good look.
Purchase a classic chapstick, seriously. It works better than this junk.
