I'm not a big fan of black eyeliners - I find they look way too dark on me (brown hair, brown hazelish eyes) and I get bored of them really quickly, but I find myself continually coming back to this eyeliner! I'm a massive fan of Urban Decay products, and this is no exception - it applies smoothly and creamily and it stays put. I go out a lot and don't have time to remove my makeup sometimes but instead of smudging overnight, I wake up the next morning with perfect eyeliner.
The colour is really good - not a cold black but a warm one that doesn't feel too dark against my lashes. It doesn't last for long on the waterline, but I prefer not to wear eyeliner there often anyway because it makes my eyes look smaller. I often draw a very, very thin line along my lashes over a thick line of bright colour, and Zero is really easy to draw with.
However, it can be pretty tricky to get off unless you have really good makeup remover. My current remover doesn't take it off easily, but my previous one took it off with no problems - so maybe test it out with your preferred product first, because otherwise it will smudge horribly and then refuse to budge.
It blends really well, which I love. It smudges easily (so don't rub your eyes) but it will stay put if you don't rub it. It comes off very easily so if you have fairly sensitive eyes or just don't like pressing them too hard like me, it's perfect. You only need to use a little bit as it's very, very pigmented, so it should last a really long time. It sharpens really easily, too.
I really like the packaging - it's tasteful, and doesn't look cheap, and makes it easy to distinguish the colour from the others I have. And personally, I love the quirky names Urban Decay have for their products. 'Zero' is pretty cool, though not my favourite.
If you want a good black eyeliner that will last you a long time, is easy to apply and gives a clear, sharp line (nearly or as sharp as a liquid eyeliner) then this is for you. I would say it's better for a dramatic look rather than a natural look, and be careful about taking it off, as it can be really difficult. It's fairly pricy, but I've been using mine fairly regularly for about half a year now and I've only used about a fifth of it!

I was on a quest to find my HG black eyeliner. THIS IS IT LADIES!!! I admit, I was a fan of the retractable eyeliners, and usually went with lancome although by the end of the day I looked like a racoon. I stayed away from "pencils" or "crayons" because they would tug on my eyelids. THIS GOES ON LIKE BUTTER!! So smooth infact, it was hard to sharpen because it was SO soft, my sharpener would literally just eat it away. I invested 9 dollars and bought a UD grindhouse sharpener, works WONDERS with these pencils. I would urge anybody who is trying the pencil for the first time to also get their sharpener to make that 18 dollar eyeliner last as long as possible! These liners last ALL day on my eyes, EVEN MY WATER LINE without ANY smudges. I'm never wasting my money on another liner again!
I bought this eyeliner on a recommendation from a Sephora MU. This apparently is rated as the number one eyeliner by magazines. I honestly wasn't that impressed when I used it though. It did last all day, but I still received the same smudging around my eyes. It didn't melt or fade like others I've used though. I don't wear an eye primer because I've never had to (don't get creasing and eye makeup always stays an entire day on me), so for an eyeliner of this calibre, it shouldn't have to rely on a primer to not smudge. It also did not stay in the outer corners of my eyes at all!
Anyway, what bothered me the most was how easily it gets used up. I generally don't sharpen my eye pencils regularly, but with this one, I have to sharpen every two or three times or the line is just thick and round! Once this is done, I'm buying another eyeliner.
I could not get this product to work for the life of me. The color is a true black as far as I can see, but the staying power is literally zero; just like the actual name of the color. On my waterline it fades within 10 minutes. On my lower lashline it only lasts an hour, and it takes forever to set. If you apply eyeshadow it makes it last maybe an extra 30 minutes. I would not buy it again.

I really like the 24/7 eyeliner pencils, they are long lasting and waterproof. They are really great when worn with the primer potion underneath as this also helps keep the color from transferring to my upper lid. My only complaint is that after a few uses they dull easily and I can never really sharpen them to that fine point they had initially.
PROS: This pencil is VERY pigmented and glides like a dream and will make sharp lines despite being creamy if you sharpen it enough.
CONS: Unfortunately this did not do well on my lids which are very oily and I've heard other oily lidders have the same problem : / It starts straying around a few hours after and comes off with the slightest touch, like I'd press my finger on it and come off with a dark black line and I'm scared to scratch anywhere near my eye. It did stay well on my waterline so I guess it fares better with slight tearing than oil. Despite it's tendency to smudge it doesn't blend out well if you want to do a softer look.
$: Not an expensive liner for a higher-end brand but not cheap either. I'd say a good investment for people who know they like it so try it out before you buy ladies.
OVERALL: It could be a fantastic liner for you if your eye lids aren't very oily.
It's not a bad product at all and I will use it but will not repurchase.
I thought that this eyeliner was going to be the best eyeliner I could ever use. Truthfully, it didn't live up to all the hype.
Pros:
- Stays on the eyelid for a decently long time with a primer
- doesn't smudge off super easily
Cons:
- Isn't a true black
- Takes a few swipes to get it to look very black
- Isn't as pigmented as it's said to be
- Doesn't stay on tightline or waterline
- Big = doesn't apply the thinnest lines
- $17??? Too expensive!
Overall it's not terrible. It's just that for $17 I don't think it's worth it. They're better eyeliners out there.

My best friend swears that this lasts all day long for her, but even with UDPP it smudges like a mother on me. I don't get it. :/ 2 lipsticks only because it is VERY pigmented.
The first eyeliner that actually stays on! When applying on the water line, you've gotta wait a few seconds for it to dry to make it stay put - that means not blinking for a few seconds! When you do let it dry, it stays on for hours! I wore it to work today (8hrs) on my upper water line, the colour had stayed on but only slightly faded. However you do have to apply it a few times to get a rich black, but I don't mind because I don't use eyeliner on my water line very often. I find that its easy to use, creamy and smooth!
This is NOT as pigmented as it should be. I bought this to line my waterline, and it took 3-4 swipes on my waterline just to get decent pigmentation. It stayed on for a few hrs then it dissapeared and smudged. For lining the eyelids, it's fine, no miracle worker. The pigmentation sucks though FOR a $17 eyeliner. My HG eyeliner is milani liquif metallic eyeliner. It is the most pigmented black I've ever used and it's completely matte despite the name. I love milani liquif eyeliner, one swipe on the waterline and Im good to go. And it's like 6-7 dollars. This product is overrated and no way worth the price. Much better black eyeliners out there for half the price.
