I was pretty surprised when the peachy-apricot cream came out of this tube. I bought the only shade available, "00
I'm a cool-toned FFF, so I didn't think this would be flattering and it was not. It went on like a thick sunscreen and looked streaky. Of course, it was orange too.
I've no idea who this could benefit or why this product was created.
Luckily, I was able to return it.
i love love love this stuff! it really sets my makeup && gives me a flawless finish. the only problem i had with it is after about 8 hours my skin started to shine just a bit but with a quick veil touch up i was good for the rest of the day. im an nc25 and didnt have any problems with that orangey after look. will definately purchase again!
What a disapointing product this is. I have been using this primer for about a week. It does absolutely nothing for me. I have been looking for a less expensive primer than Smashbox and Philosophy primers that I love. I was hoping that this would fit the bill. Well, the color of this foundation is similar to the Philosophy, however, that is where any similarity ends. I applied a cream to powder foundation over this primer and the foundation sunk right into the pores on my nose. I couldn't believe it. A good primer is supposed to fill in fine lines and pores. This does neither. The best thing about this product is the low price. This is going into the trash!
Doesn't really do anything and I'd rather skip this to prevent oilier face during summer. I like lasting finish foundation with minerals and I received this primer free with that foundation purchase. There is only one color and it's peachy Apricot (001). The same 1oz tube like LFF tube and I paid less than $6 for both at Bed, Bath & Beyond Beauty Center.

Wow, most users have given this such a low rating!
I LOVE THIS!!!
I have used MAC's primer, Philosophy's primers, (the Present and the Supernatural), and Smashbox. None of them have even come close to this wonderful, inexpensive primer.
First I should address the peach color....it disappears into my skin. If anything it gives it a very, and I mean very, light warm glow. And I have warm but very light skin tone. I usually use the second from the lightest color in any makeup base I buy. So I guess I am lucky, because on me the peach color in the tube has little to no effect.
I apply a light layer over my moisturizer and of course under my make-up (which is a loose powder mineral make-up)
The effect is beautiful, more even skin tone, smooth pores, (makes them almost non-existent), and extremely smooth skin overall.
My husband ran his hand over my face the first day I used this and said "Your skin is so smooth and beautiful".
No one has ever said that to me before, even him, and we have been married for 20 years!
Anyway, thought I would give my 2 cents.
It is really inexpensive and can be found in most drug stores, so it really is worth a try.
I was so thrilled to discover this product so I rushed onto Makeup Alley to see if everyone else was as thrilled.....apparently not!
I've tried other pore minimizers, Clinique's, Benefit's Dr. Feelgood--they all make my foundation slip right off--I look like I've been running a marathon in 100 degree weather by the end of one hour.
I was afraid to try another slippery pore minimizer but the price (50% off at my local drugstore) was right. I loved it the first day I tried it. My foundation stayed fresh looking after 10 hours--that is a miracle! My pores were much less visible! This is as excited as I've been about anything in a long time!
Okay, it's orange and I'm pale (my nickname was 'Casper' in highschool) but the stuff disappeared into my skin. My foundation was the only color I saw when I was done.
Hint: don't slather the stuff on, apply thin layer in the t-zone.
I can't believe I found such a great product for so little money. Yea!
Okay, I removed two lippys because it turns out you can see the orange through your makeup. A shame because it did make my pores disappear. :(
I really wanted to like this product since I have seen it in magazines for several months and finally saw it at Walmart yesterday. Sadly, although I am a fan of Rimmel lipstick, I am going to have to join the other reviewers and give this a big NO rating and pitch it in the trash can. It's not even worth me trying it tomorrow to see if I have different results. I was very put off by the peachy shade, and very surprised that the primer really didn't blend very well. It was more like how sunscreen is when you have to blend it. It also did not make my foundation glide on at all. It seemed to make it harder to blend. It also made my face a lovely shade of peach and that is the last thing I wanted. I have used one other primer before, so I only have that to compare it to (and I don't remember the name as it was a free sample.) Anyway, this was $5.50 or so down the drain. Very dissapointed.
I bought this on a whim because i have never used a primer, and not only was it hella cheap, it came with a foundation free. i have never used any of rimmel's face products before, but after this fiasco i never will purchase another. horrible orange tint (especially hairline), and hard to smooth evenly on my dry skin. when i added the foundation on top it only made things worse- and i got the lightest shade! ...i hate the squeeze tube packaging, as it is a lot harder to control the amount of product that comes out. better to spend the money for a higher quality product. rimmel needs to pull this from the shelves immediatly!
I have oily skin and i was hoping a primer would leave my face looking matte for the day. I picked up this primer at walmart as it was really cheap. I had no problem with the orange colour of this product as my skin tone is darker . After a few uses, i dont think this item dramatically changed the look of my skin. My nose was shiny only after an hour and I didnt notice any changes in smoothness or minimized pores.
I think what they were going for with this is a sheer tinted complexion lotion for the face to brighten and give some glow. Agnes b. has something like it as well as Dior and many other high end brands.
I tried it on my hand in the store, it was sheer and I have light toned skin. I put some tester foundation over it, and it wasn't worth much. Sad...............Rimmels best products are for the lips. This is not good enough, they should have given it a semi-liquid silicone.
