I bought this product with high hopes, because I had heard great things about it. Definitly not in my case. It made me break out worse than any other foundation I've tried. It was very oily, and very greasy.
Stay Away From This Stuff!!
This was the very first foundation I ever tried. I remember always having to have a powder compact around so I could get rid of the shine which always came up 2-3 hours after application. But I thought that was just my skin, not the foundation. For some reason, I stopped using it. But a year later, I was trying to find a good color match, so I tried it again.
Ugh. NOW I know why I stopped using it. It made me feel like I had Vaseline all over my face. I have DRY skin. Most foundations make me look flakey and dry. But this sucker made my face feel oily and dirty. The only thing it has going for it is that the color match is probably the best I'll ever find (I used Ivory). But it's oily, the coverage is too light and not even buildable, it feels THICK on your face, and the pump is kind of funky. Ugh. Never again.
this was an ok foundation for me. It provides a seemless semi-sheer coverage, but the only problem I had was my skin felt kind of tacky or sticky after applying it.
I really love this foundation. The texture is awesome for a d/s brand and the price isn't that bad either. I use it in medium light (for summer; i dunno what my shade would be w/o a tan). This is great d/s stuff.
I like the coverage of this foundation. Though after a while, it loses it's texture and consistency. Now it just feels like normal liquid foundation. I would probably buy it in the tiny testers, not cost effective, though the texture would stay nice and fluffy.
I don't usually buy d/s foundations as I've never had luck with them, but thought I'd give this a try. It felt (and looked) like a plastic mask when I put it on. The worst part is that it wouldn't wash off. My Zia cleansing gel usually takes off everything and it wouldn't budge this stuff. I didn't wear it long enough to see if it would cause breakouts. Yuck.
I think I may have found my HG for foundations. I'm a MAC addict but I just haven't had any luck with their foundation lines. My friend recommended this and I love it. I'm a NW20 and I use the classic ivory. Unlike my MACs there was no foundation line that appears in some lights, and it blends right in. Love it!
I have the hardest time finding a good foundation. I love this. As everyone says - very whippy, mousse/creamy like. Very natural and gives me great coverage too. I would agree...does not last all day but enough to make you feel covered. I will definitely repurchase. I can't wait to try the darker shades when I get a tan.
I loved this foundation....at first. It really covered well and felt nice on, but I have combo skin and the t-zone likes to get oily on me and this foundation makes my face feel a little slick in about an hour of putting it on. It looked very very smooth on my face and when I put Trublend powder on top of my foundation, it looked perfect.I wore it underneath trublend pressed powder, and around 1-2 hours of wear, I was blotting with clean and clear sheets and reapplying powder all the time. My face also broke out very badly from this foundation and although it looks great on, as the day wears on my face begins to appear ashy, and my skin is very very pale! Overall not a HG in the least for me, although it does have nice packaging, very hygenic. :)
This is a wonderful product. I use classic ivory (MAC NC20 for ref) I really like the fact that it's in a jar, and it's old-fashioned looking. This whipped-creme blends like no other I've ever used--it literally just melts and disappears into the skin. So perfect it's unbelievable! I use my fingers to apply. Needless to say, I LOVE IT.
