- Great oil control for my combo skin
- Solid medium coverage that doesn't look too heavy. It covers my rosacea and evens out my skintone.
- Very good SPF
- Blends easily
- Pump bottle
- Relatively cheap price
- Lasts all day even when not set with powder
- Very strong floral scent, not good for sensitive skin like mine.
- Colours aren't that good for my NC20 skintone. I like BB creams to brighten my skin with a nice beige tone, whereas this BB cream tends to run very grey. #21 was the better match for my skin (#23 was too dark and #13 too light) but makes my skin look rather dull.
- Can be drying on my skin, especially in winter. Need to moisturize extremely well before using.
This is my 2nd BB cream. I actually got a full size tube of this for free as part of my first order from Missha's website. I had sprung originally for the Cho Bo Yang BB (which was on sale for a steal) and Perfect Cover came with it.
I thought it was sort of odd that I didn't get to choose my shade, especially for a full-sized product, but whatever, it was free. They sent me #23 and it is a good match. I am NC20/N2 (really quite neutral). The gray tone of this put me off originally when I swatched it onto my hand. However, when blended out onto my face it looked fine. I use Smashbox's #19 Face & Body brush, which is a large, dense, bronzer-type brush and my preferred for working with thick/cream foundations. It was perfect for this application.
The best part about this BB (most BBs, really I suppose) is the coverage. I have good, clear, blemish-free skin, but I carry a lot of ruddiness in my cheeks. One layer of this stippled with the #19 and it's gone. It gives me a perfect clear canvas. I would imagine it would be excellent for someone with rosacea or other discoloration problems as well. I also love the dewy finish. I've had a very hard time finding a dewy-finish base that has decent coverage. Most (including some of my very favorites - MUFE F&B, MAC F&B, Chante FS and Chante JS) are quite sheer.
I can't speak to the lightening/long-term skin effects as I have only used this short-term. I CAN say this stuff wears like iron, having worn it for a 5-mile hike yesterday and it still looked perfect when we got home!
Would definitely repurchase as long as it continues to agree with my skin. continued >>
This is my first BB cream. My skin is oily/acne prone, but have it under control with the help of Biore UV ss milk as primer, ocasional blotting sheets and good skin care. I usually wear Almay Clear Complexion foundation, which I love except for the somewhat lacking coverage and the heavy yellow undertone. I decided to buy Misha #23 in sample packets for my NC25 skin.
At first application, I truly loved it. I did notice the grey cast everyone mentionts, but it does blend nicely afterwards. The coverage is nice, buildable, and the finish is dewy.
Along the day, my skin got terribly oily, the most I've experienced in my life. No amount of blotting sheets would suffice. I tweaked the setting powder to maybelline dream matte powder, MUFE HD powder, Palladio rice powder and none of them solved the issue.
I guess I'll wait til my skin is drier this winter to try this foundation again.
I got the 20ml tube in shade 23. I also have shade 21 and guess what, none works for me. There is not a big difference in Color between these two shades. 21 makes me look slightly ghosty and 23 gives me a gray tone that looks unhealthy.
After using them for a while in the summer I realize that the artificial scent is unpleasant. Because of that I don't reach for it so often anymore. It is a thick and drying type of cream so you have to work quickly otherwise it will be hard to spread even. For everyday use this isn't a great product, feels heavy and smells heavy.
Perhaps it is suitable for evening/special event make up? it does give good coverage.
I think I may have found my HG foundation! I purchased this on Amazon and received it 3 days ago. It is a little soon to be certain of HG status but so far I am in love with this perfect foundation. I have melasma and my skin is dry and showing signs of aging. Foundations that cover my hyper-pigmentation look good indoors but outdoors my spots look dark and gray. They also make my skin look dry, crepey and old. Misha foundation makes my skin look as if i do not have foundation, covers most of my melasma without making it look gray, and my skin looks smoother and dewy. I hope to update in a couple of weeks. Oh and when I took my makeup off last night, my skin looked less crepey and smoother than I have seen it in years. I could not believe my eyes and called my daughter into the bathroom to ask her to look at my skin. She said it looked very bright and smooth.
UPDATE: 2/10/20014- I still love this BB cream! I reach for it everyday. I use the other foundations I have on weekends just because I am tired of products going to waste. I have repurchased the Misha several times already when I ran out and will continue to have on hand. I do not want to be without my Misha.
Love love love this BB cream. Didn't give me break outs and had good coverage. Is my 2nd fave BB after Jadilla J Original BB. Beats the Dr Jart I used to use hands down!
I bought the shade #21 and it works well with my NC15 skin. The coverage of this product is great but othen that that it doesn not work that well on my oily/normal combination skin. It leaves a very dewy finish and does not control oil that well. With this I need to blot after about two hours. I would think that this work best on people who have normal to dry skin. If you like that dewy/glowy finish then I would deffo check this out.
First off, I LOVE THIS STUFF. I ordered it online after seeing brilliant reviews on it, in the lightest shade. It came in a squeeze tube thingie with a pump, which was very nice. It was about $12, which is a great price for such a nice product. It has excellent coverage. It comes out of the pump a bit greyish, but it adjusts to your skin tone and evens out redness. It has spf 42, which I love. It also helped clear away most of my acne after using it once. I have fairly dry skin, and I don't have any flakes at all when I wear this. It takes a minute or two to set into your skin, and there's no need to use powder over it. It's super easy to blend, with a brush or fingers. The only downside is that there are only two shades, so it wouldn't be suitable for darker skin tones.
Oh, and the text on the tube is in korean... which is pretty cool too.
Well first off, it was WAY too pale. I have pale skin so I got the lightest shade. Big mistake. Not only is it super pale, but it has a lot of pink undertones to it that end up making me look dead. When I first apply it, it looks lovely. It settles into skin nicely and has a somewhat mattifying finish. However, even when setting it with powder, I still notice it starting to clump up on my skin around 3 hours later. I mostly only use this if Im running to the store and I need to slap something on my face really quick. The spf 45 is really nice but it reeks of sun block. The smell doesnt really go away either..
Since a friend put me onto this product i cant justify spending anything over AUS$30 for foundation! The quality of this product is FAR beyond the price tag, and i have tried almost every other foundation from other companies (revlon, loreal, bourjois, etc) and nothing blends as well, makes your skin look dewy and soft (not oily!) and also evens out pores and fine lines.
there are two reasons why i didnt give this a perfect score.
1. I liked the whitening agent in it to lighten imperfctions, however after a few months of use it makes your skin dry and can lead to cracking which leads to wrinkles. Am worried about putting a whitening agent on my skin everyday (it cant be healthy for it)
2. I am very fair skinned. Whilst the fairest shade looked fine, after a while- and perhaps due to the whitening- it became too dark for my skin. It also looks a bit grey which can make fair skinned people look kind of dead (tho blush fixes this somewhat)
I have been searching for other BB cream formulas without the whitening but with anti-wrinkle and spf ingredients. have switched to Diamond BB which is also amazing (a bit of a lighter coverage than this one) BUT still contains whitening which dries out the skin!!
