So after reading all the rave reviews on here, I decided to try this serum in hopes for a more clear, even toned complexion.
I purchased the 1 oz. bottle, and used it religiously every night for the past 2 months. I am sad to say, I have not noticed any improvement in my skin. I still break out just as much as before, and my skin just doesn't look noticeably any better.
I won't be re-purchasing, obviously. Very sad this did not work out for me!
Been hearing about this product for years, I was always curious. I'm turning 30 in a few months and I realized that it was probably time for a serum. I was using the Olay Regenerist one (which I reviewed) and did like it. Then I finally had the opportunity to try this stuff out, so, I went for it. The first week I was skeptical, but knew I had to give it at least a month, this week is the fourth week and I've decided: this stuff is awesome and (for me) does EXACTLY what it promises. The Regenerist was working as well, but compared to this it was a snail's pace. Since beginning use I have gotten no new blemishes, pimples or white heads (I never really got black heads, but none of those, either), my skintone is more even and brighter and my makeup glides on. LOVE! I have always had at least one pimple coming or going and always, ALWAYS, I had 2 to 3 white heads at minimum, but it's just all gone. The blemishes I did have when I started using this healed quickly and the red marks left are already fading. I'm just very happy, I feel confident and am using less makeup since there is less to cover. How this would work on wrinkles I can't say as I don't really have any yet (thank Jeebus), and hopefully this will help to keep them at bay in addition to my trusty sunscreen. Expensive? Oh my, yes, but worth it? No doubt for me, HG skincare for sure.
This is the best thing that ever happened to my skin!
I do not have wrinkles or very dark age spots, I am only 26, and however, I have acne scars, which not only give me some discoloration on my chicks but also uneven texture. I use this product at night after my toner and I noticed dramatic difference in texture of my skin as well as color. My acne scars are much lighter and my skin is very soft and more even. It is also helped me with my blackheads that I used to have on my nose. I feel that my skin is more hydrated and smooth than it used to be. I use this product for 2 months now and it worked after the first use. Great product overall, very worth the price.
I love this and use it every night for the past 3 months. Now, I'm only just turned 29, so I don't really have alot of wrinkles to examine its effects, but I can say it definitely made the texture of my skin more even and smoother. Its lightweights, feels like it absorbs quickly. I have very oily skin and was a bit worried that it might make me feel oilier. My worries were put to rest and actually the next morning, it feels like my face was nicely moisturized all night long without any oily effects.
I have been using this for a couple of months and while i think it's a decent serum I'm not all that impressed and I won't be repurchasing. It didn't cause any brakeouts and my skin is very prone to them so that's a huge plus. It feels nice going on and soaks in right away. Now for the cons: i didnt notice any improvement in my skin whatsoever. I wasn't expecting anything major anyways but i was hoping for more even skin tone and it didn't deliver. Also it's not very hydrating I know it's not supossed to be but still, i wish it were. Anyways, not sure if it's worth investing in.
Just finished my La Mer lifting serum which I frankly do not see that much "lift". So I decide to try this product based on positive feedbacks from MUA, and gosh, it really works. My skin has improved a lot after 2 weeks using it. Get the 100ml bottle, it's totally worth it . I strongly recommend this, with just 4 drops a nite, you will very soon get nearer to clear & smooth skin. I will definitely buy this again.
EDIT: Still loving it, Im on my 2nd bottle....plumps up fine lines, amazing....the only downside is that when the bottle is almost finish, the effect isnt the same...weird, I think is the air thats been for so long in contact with the product...so my advice is try not to open it so much...
Im almost 28, and realized I had to do something with my skin, because it started looking saggie, blotchie, plain weird, so bought this serum and Ive been using it for the past week, and let me tell you, you can see a small improvement overnight, but the real results takes time, its not magic...after a week, I can start seeing my eyes fine lines plumpling up...its really good this serum, will continue using it...also has a small moisture plus..
Unfortunately this product has been a HUGE nightmare for me. This is review is the complete opposite to the majority of reviews on this product.
(1.) I have Rosacea
(2.) Allergic reactions to Bismuth, Benzyl, Fragrance, Nia
Something in this product instantly made my entire face flare swollen, red, itchy and I broken out EXTREMELY badly. It was completely apparent that there is an ingredient that is too harsh. The ingredient of concern is the Benzyl Alcohol. According to cosmetic safety reviews it is most commonly used as a general solvent for inks, paints, lacquers, and epoxy resin coatings, hair bleaches etc. This is extremely concerning to me as it is apparently potent and sparingly used in cosmetics as it is REGULATED in reference to exposure limitations. Bottom line sensitive skin people may want to sample this before purchasing. For those who it has worked wonders for, you are fortunate. Just do some research if you have any kind of reaction like I did. I REALLY wanted to love this but it surely didn't love me back.
This is my first ever review on MUA. I had to write a review because this product is just amazing hands down!
My skin used to be EXTREMELY tired looking/ dull/ pale/ blotchy/ greenish sick-looking that i cannot leave the house without any makeup on. Pretty much i looked like i was a junkie or i was really sick (i am not exaggerating) i've tried heaps of moisturisers/ toners that promise to you that glow or banish dull complexions...none of them worked. i've tried shiseido, chanel, biotherm, olay, lancome, nivea, clinique products etc.
I rarely get pimples but i always have had tiny red blemishes all around my cheeks and jaw line on top of my dull lifeless skin. i always get 8 hours sleep and drink lots of water.
First night my skin looks and feels cleared, refreshed and supple the next morning and all i used was one drop! Little red blotches can hardly be seen my skin tone is brighter. Now i can leave the house without wearing any foundation on -but of course i would still wear blush, lipstick etc.
My complexion has dramatically improved. I wish i had found out about this Miracle treatment sooner. I would definitely purchase again and again and again. It compliments my skin care routine really well.
I cleanse with Sebamed then use SKII facial treatment clear lotion (toner), followed by SKII facial treatment essence, then i use one drop of EL serum and sometimes use a moisturiser on top of that and i have gorgeous skin!
Definitely get this product if you haven't.
Don't ask me why, but it really does shrink spots considerably overnight - even cyst type ones. Also makes your skin look very fresh in the morning if you've had it on overnight, kind of like Guerlain's Midnight Secret, but this is more affordable. Whatever it has in it, it's good stuff. Herbal smell, sort of nondescript, slightly tacky feeling but it dries immediately on the face. Probably will do nothing for you if you're under 20. I know everything is about prevention these days, but seriously kids, I'm 35 - I can tell you all you need is to stay out of the sun, slap on a good SPF, not smoke, get good amounts of sleep, eat your greens and drink enough fluids. If you can do that, you won't need to buy stuff like this until a decent age like me. If you don't, then nothing is really going to help when you reach this point anyway. The best prevention is natural common sense prevention, not out of a jar. Ok - mom rant over.
