I'm going on holiday soon to Cairns (tropical/wet season) and I want a makeup that is going to cover a little, not look too heavy, and stay semi-matte in humid weather.
Took a sample pot of Intensity 1 and almost ran back to the counter the next day to purchase.
Love it! Buildable coverage, semi-matte finish (i set with powder which turns it to matte) and lasts all day. Not quite the 15 hours though, but almost all day.
The only downside is the SPF 10 (they could at least put 15?) and the small range of colours - I'm quite fair, and I have to have a bit of fake tan to make Intensity 1 look natural, so if I don't tan, it's not light enough for me.
I do however LOVE the fact that it's photo finish - perfect for holiday happy snaps!
I think i may have found my HG product for my skin. I have very oily skin, and this foundation is perfect for it. Only a tiny amount is required, yet it provides so much cover. It evens my skin out and keeps it very matte throughout the day. if you set it with a little loose powder, it will take you effortlessly from day to night- perfect for the impending Christmas party season. I wholly recommend this and whilst its packaging might not be the sexiest on the market, it more than makes up for it in the content. 10/10. I am now very tempted to try the double wear original, though why bother now!
This is, hands down, the best foundation I have ever tried but for one significant problem - the colour selection. The lightest shade is at least 6 shades darker than my fair, pinky-white skin that I inherited from my red-headed father. I will never understand why luxury brands don't cater for fair-skinned women.
I love this foundation so much, however, that I keep persisting with it. I've even resorted to using bronzer on my chest and arms to match the colour.
This foundation feels beautiful on the skin - light, smooth, and comfortable. It keeps my skin matte but looks extremely natural and not at all cakey. My face looks fresh and healthy all day. I break out easily, but have had no problems with this.
If you can find a colour match, I would highly recommend this foundation.
I really like this product, it's gorgeous, smooth application and great staying power. I just feel you get too little product in it considering how much you pay so will probably not buy this again.
I'm not one to throw around the term, "HG." However, I will unequivocally say this is my HG foundation. I love it! I use this in intensity #3, and it blends seamlessly into my skin. I've been using this for over 3 months now, and have had no problems with breakouts and/or skin freakouts (which is something my skin tends to do). Here's my breakdown of this awesome liquid foundation.
Pros:
*great packaging. I like the tube.
*Goes on light w/o feeling cakey
*Super easy to blend (unlike Revlon color stay or the regular EL double wear which is too think for my liking or the MUFE matte velvet).
*Doesn't oxidize on my oily skin.
*Lasts all day long
*Build-able coverage (but why buy light if you want to layer it on?)
*Not an unpleasant smell
Cons:
*Could be cheaper
*Having to deal with the cranky EL salesladies.
*Wish more product came in tube.
Notes:
*I find this easier to blend with my fingers than with a brush
*Blends seamlessly with my MUFE camo palette concealers.
*Blends seamlessly with the EL Doublewear concealer (my favorite for under eyes).
*Works great over Smashbox photo finish primer and Avon Face Magix. (Actually better with Avon FM)
*I set it with an uber light dusting/buffing of Clinique's gentle light loose powder.
I will definitely buy this again. and again.

This is my first long-wearing foundation, and the sales associate suggested it when I asked for a medium coverage foundation that contained hyaluronic acid. The lightest color, Intensity 1.0, is a great shade for me, since I am an extremely pale brunette. I will say that the formula is very, very creamy and smooth. It really does last a long, long time. It is buildable while staying lightweight So it definitely lives up to its name. It's not one of my favorite foundation products, though, but I do like it very much.
I got a 10-day sample of #2 shade. I've used EL's Aeromatte powder for 3 years and I like it. It matches my skin tone though it doesn't stay on that well - as I have to touch up at lunch time. My main reason for trying this foundation is to mix it with sunscreen or regular face lotion as a tinted moisturizer. I prefer sheer coverage and look natural - it was a bit too much coverage when I wear this alone. Mixing it with sunscreen is a bit dry though I did put a face lotion before it. I may try to add a tiny bit of moisturizer next time and see how it goes.
Yesterday I went to RiteAid with the sample jar and pick out the closest shade from Revlon's Colorstay foundation (medium beige). They look very similar in the jars but Revlon CF has a very subtle pinkish undertone. I tried it today and it fairly match my skin tone. It could be the pinkish undertone makes me look a little more tan. I think I will continue to use Revlon CF as the pinkish undertone is acceptable.
I don't know if I would purchase EL DW's full size. I feel EL give me an even skin tone with yellowish undertone while Revlon's give me a subtle rosy glow/tan. I may try EL on half of my face and Revlon on the other half - to see which one looks better.

Hmmm. I've yet to find a foundation that *truly* stays on all day - coupled with the fact I touch my face a lot which means it'll come off quickly anyway - but as they go, this is the dog's danglies! I'm even willing to brace myself for the high price of repurchase, but it's value for money, as a little goes a long way. Shade 1 is ideal for me, no tide marks to be seen! :D
I also only apply to the T-zone, not all over my face, cause that's where I actually need the coverage.
Of course I don't look as good in the mirror after work than I do heading out to work, but I doubt (for me) there ever will be a foundation to last the whole day and still look perfect.
Still, this stuff is incredible, and for fickle little me to repurchase, it says a lot!
Totally LOVE it! Got this in a swap to try out before committing and I'm so glad I did. This passed my horse show acid test of 14 hour wear and still looked flawless with a few powder touchups (I am very oily) at the end of each very long day. I tried application with both a foundation brush and using my fingers and get better, more consistent coverage with my fingers but that's a personal preference. This foundation felt light and wearable all day. Intensity 1 is a great color match for fall/winter, I'm fair/cool and never get any sun or color on my face as I am a sunscreen fanatic. I like the plastic squeeze bottle, too; no waste and travels well. I will definitely and enthusiastically repurchase!

This is my new favourite foundation. The second I put it on, the texture was light, not cakey at all and blended seamlessly. I use intensity 01 which is the lightest one, and it doesn't make me look ghostly. It almost warms up my complexion. It doesn't settle into my fine lines or accentuate my pores. I also have acne prone skin and find that the coverage is fantastic, and can be built up around areas that need more coverage (i.e around the nose) and work like a concealer too! It sounds incredible right? To make things better, IT ACTUALLY LASTS THE WHOLE DAY! This is amazing because I'm really not into touching up all the time during school. I set my t-zone with a tiny bit of powder and thats all I need. I find the best way to apply this is with CLEAN hands. The product melts into the skin without streaking or anything. This prevents you from wasting the product since a lot of foundation gets stuck in the bristles of brushes. Overall, this is my new holy grail foundation and I will repurchase it numerous times! Estee Lauder skincare products are amazing too and make the foundation go on even better!
