I LOVE this perfume... it's definately one of my favorites. I'm not one of those people that can pull off wearing a very strong distinctive perfume - but, HP smells so good and the vanilla aroma in it makes it feel almost softer so i definately leave the house wearing it and everytime i do someone asks "mmm... what smells so good?"

I adore this perfume. For me it is the perfect winter scent. It's warm, sexy, sensuous, edible....yum

This is the most wondeful delicious aroma in the world. Better than chocolate, lilacs, burgundy...or anything else I love. It's a very heavy fragrance though so I don't wear it as often as I'd like. I usually wear it at home...maybe spritz it on before bed. But it drives men wild. WILD. Oh yea baby...

I went into Ulta to sample and at first squirt of this I get that artificial rootbeer smell as I'm sure many others do. Anyway as I'm in the car on the way home I kept thinking something smells really really good. I smell my arm again and the scent has morphed into this wonderfully delicious vanilla-almond gourmound smelling fragrance. I almost hated to have to take a shower to wash it off, all I kept doing was smelling my arm for the rest of the night. So I know that this scent is at the top of my list to buy next!

I haven't had much luck with any of Dior's fragrances, this one is no exception unfortunately... it was very strong, has a "black" sort of aura that isn't particularly sexy to me at all, it's just... dark... I agree with the review directly under me that it reminds me of chewing on black licorice... can't stomach it personally... but it is a very distinctive scent for those that can wear it well... there's nothing more uninteresting than a generic scent, and that this one certainly is not!

To me...this smelled like licorice, and unfortunately I don't like licorice. Once the alcohol went away it smelled sweet (but not overpowering)...a nice floral, and the lasting power is pretty good. The locorice smell is enought to turn me off, but if you can get past that HP is a nice fragrance.

All my life, I was on a search for the perfect perfume...i love foody smells but i wanted something "classy" smelling as well, not one that just smelled like a bakery...and this is it for me. this is sex in a bottle, i swear. the only thing i can compare it to is a root beer float...now, i know what your thinking..what is so classy about smelling like a root beer float?? you will just have to test it out yourself to understand. Unlike the reviewer below me, this stuff is one of the only perfumes that doesn't give me a headache, it smells very subtle on me. it is definitely much more expensive then i would like, but it is worth it. i will continue to repurchase this always. <3<3<3 continued >>

One of the most headache-inducing perfumes I have ever came across in my life. It's a way too overpowering, one-dimensional sickly sweet scent. Yuck.
Love the bottle though. :)

I love Hypnotic Poison! (I don't get the root beer.) It is sexy and comforting at the same time. I know I can always reach for it and be pleased with the choice I made for the day. This is one I won't be without.

Hypnotic Poison smells just like sweet creamy vanilla, not too bad for the winter. I understand how some people love it but it's just not for me.
