I used Voluminous Waterproof on a wedding party (myself included), and it didn't budge though we all sobbed like babies through the ceremony. The formula is very comparable to the other Voluminous mascaras in terms of how it applies and how it looks on the lashes. The alpha and omega as far as mascara is concerned.

I only wear waterproof for special occasions, however, since daily wear tends to make my lashes brittle. Regular washing won't remove it--you need to use eye makeup remover (i.e. Vasoline) to get it all. I also try to give the ol' lashes a day off a week to make up for the other six days I torture them.

The best mascara out there.. definitely out-lasts the non-water proof one but its more difficult to wash off.

This is definately my dramatic HG mascara of the moment. Even though i love my CG LE, it just doesn't give enough oomph for nighttime. Voluminous is the perfect solution. It lengthens and Thickens, and is *almost* smudge free (not completely smudge free like my CGLE, but pretty darn close). Love love love! edit: began to smudge like crazy on me. I've replaced this w/ a new combo of CG Volume Exact over L'oreal Volume Shocking primer (only, not the mascara).

A good mascara. It makes my lashes look thicker and longer than most other brands I've tried, although it does have a tendency to glob (to avoid this, wipe the wand with a tissue before applying. It works wonders). The consistency is a bit strange, almost like a gel, so if you do apply it too thickly initially, it ends up all over your face. My only complaint is that it doesn't dry hard, which is why I've stopped using it. (my bangs un-curl my eyelashes unless I use a mascara that dries to a tougher shell haha). That aside though, it's great.

This mascara is great... it makes my lashes long, dark, and well, voluminous! But it does has a tendency to flake occasionally. I also like to scrape excess product against the edge of the tube before I use it, to prevent any clumps. If used light-handed and carefully, it'll give you a wonderful dramatic look. I just wish it defined better! Nonetheless, I always end up coming back to this... YSL Faux Cils is the best, but too expensive to buy regularly.

Color is Black/Noir for mine. Great color, wonderful volume, does not clump. Makes my lashes stand out, and can be layered on for different effects. Soooo worth every bit. I think this mascara will become an HG for me, if simply for the fact that it does what I want it to do. My lashes are long but thin so this gives them great volume. continued >>

I'm kind of in a quandary about this mascara. I seem to like the actual product. The black is very nicely black and stays dark. My lashes do look longer and fuller, lush and flirty without being overdone. I haven't had any trouble with the mascara running when I sweat. However, I absolutely can't stand the brush. It picks up WAY too much product, resulting in clumps if used straight out of the tube. Wiping some back on the edge of the tube leads to having bits that get worked back into the mascara and dry out sooner than the rest, which contributes to more clumps. Wiping on a tissue is an option, I suppose, but I never like doing that since I tend to go overboard and rip my tissues, leaving bits of fluff on my mascara brush. Maybe I should just be more careful. I did answer 'Yes', that I would re-purchase this product. Considering the 2-for-1 at Walgreens, I most likely will. I maintain a sort of love-hate relationship with it, however, due to the diabolical brush. Perhaps I'll try it with a brush from my Full and Soft tube instead.


Update: Once I'd had this for just over a month, it became drier and harder to handle, and even more prone to clumpiness. UGH! Maybe it's just my bad luck, but I can't see myself trying this again now. continued >>

I really like this mascara! It makes my lashes more defined, longer, and thicker. I love it! It doesn't smudge or run. My lashes look long and luscious. I will be repurchasing.

I liked how the black is truly black and that it does give my lashes volume.

I'm on my third tube, and it's starting to make me weary. It seems to be a lot clumpier than I used to remember AND the mascara comes off in smudgies underneath your eyes if you cry, sweat, swim, etc. Let me clarify. The mascara doesn't seem to lose its black-ness or come off your lashes, but it does make smudgies underneath your eyes.

But I'd give it 4 lippies anyway.

This is the only mascara I've ever tried so far that I liked enough to repurchase, it isn't my HG but it's the closest I've ever come to HG yet. It is a really nice, smooth mascara that is very easy to apply, great wand! Soft and smooth and black, it doesn't flake on me or smudge, I haven't used it to go swimming yet and as mascara, even non waterproof ones, don't usually run on me I don't know how waterproof it is. But it really gives lots of volume and length, it's the only mascara I use that every time I put it on I am very pleased and say, Hey look it looks like I'm wearing false eyelashes but I'm not, these are really my lashes! - EDIT: Dropping rating down to a 3 and I won't repurchase anymore, for some reason this started to flake on me, like I had sand in my eyes! This is the ONLY mascara I've tried that has ever flaked on me! It also has a horrible stench that makes me want to gag. I know mascara's not supposed to smell like roses (except YSL I've heard) but all other mascaras smell just fine, if they have a smell at all.
