I thought the texture was okay but I couldn't stand the scent - very strong and "perfumey" to me.
Love this product so much; I live in New England and the weather plays hell on my skin. But this keeps my lips looking good. Will always use.
Hmmm.... Alot of people seem to hate this. I think it is quite alright. Not the best, no, but it is a decent lip balm, and if I ever run out (I've had it for a long while, I'd buy it again).
My lips are pretty much eternally dry. And they get chapped and flaky and sometimes painful to the point where they bleed. Ok.... you get the point.
I used to think Smiths salve was my HG. I'm not so sure anymore. I haven't found THE lip balm yet.
This one is pretty good. I actually like the smell. Nothing offensive. It's not like I can smell my lips or anything. It's quick, convenient, and easy to use. Nothing messy like dipping your fingers into a salve. Soothes my lips and leaves them just a bit shiny and plump. It's no cure, but it is a relief.
Oh, and I find it better than the original Beeswax.
I absolutely love the *regular* Burt's Bee's Beeswax Lip Balm but this version has got to go! The one I bought was hard and grainy feeling. Maybe I got a bad one, I don't know, but based on that it's not the one for me.
I find that I don't reach for this often during the day, as I kinda find the smell really weird and it kinda makes me feel queasy. However it does a nice job of moisturizing, better than most lip balms. Leaves the lips moisturized after the balmy feeling is gone. I use this mainly before I go to bed.
This was my first time using burt's bees anything.. and since i see all the time in stores, i decided to try it. As a lip balm to moisturize your lips, i think its ok, but its the smell of it i can't stand!! Its smells like baby powder!! yuck, i hate it!!
I thought this was very moisterizing. People complain about the smell but I don't sense anything (I smelled worse things before). I like the honey lip balm over the regular beeswax one since it has peppermint oil in it.
Typically a fan of anything Burt's (although QUITE upset that they got bought out by Clorox and not sure if I'll continue to use their stuff), I would have likely purchased this balm on its own had I not received it in a gift set. I'm sure glad I didn't fork over the two bucks for it, because it smells like total crap. There's something actually repulsing about its scent.
I'm sticking to the Pomegranate Oil and regular formulas.
Disgusting..... i honestly refuse to kiss my sweetheart when he's wearing this. He must have gotten it because he thought i'd like it, but this is some disgusting honey..... Odd, because it does smell like raw raw honey, but plastic-y. But.. he doesn't like to waste things, he's still using it- until i plan to accidentally lose it. it's honestly so bad i can smell it a so far away from him
I can't tell how moisturizing or anything this is, the first time i put it on i wiped it off immediately. Don't waste your money unless you're looking to repulse people.
How does this make the entire world smell like baby powder? Ugh, it could make a dead horse puke. Intolerable. Product screw-ups of this magnitude can only be explained by nepotism. Burt must have given his nephew a job in R&D.
EDIT: I keep this in my travel cosmetics to use if I sneak a smoke at my in-laws' house or use a bathroom with very little privacy. I just rub some of it on my arm, or even on a kleenex I drop in a waste basket. It covers up any smell, anywhere. Unbelievable.
