These brushes are great. They're cheap and sustainable. I also have sensitive skin but these brushes are so soft they don't bother my skin at all. I find the roll highly annoying so I wish they would come up with better packaging but its fine. I wouldn't buy the set again because I don't really use the concealer brush or the eyebrow tool so I'd rather go and buy the individual brushes.
I love this set!! I just wish they would include a powder brush...why is it that sets always seem not to include the most useful/commonly used brush? Anyway, I just started using the blush brush to apply my powder. I use these along with other, more expensive brushes, and these are very comparable. I like that they are made from synthetic hair, and I love how soft they are on my skin. My only gripe is that I wish the "travel" packaging was easier to use and more practical for storage.
While I generally rave about EcoTools brushes, I'm slightly disappointed in this set. The blush brush and eyeshadow brushes are staples for me, but the angled eyeliner brush, the brow grooming brush, and the concealer brush are useless for me, as is the brush roll. I do like the concealer brush, but I use my pinky fingers to blend my concealer, so I have no use for the concealer brush. The angled eyeliner brush is OK, but I like a flat brush and a round brush better. I would not buy again, but only because the blush brush and eyeshadow brush are available separately.
I highly recommend these brushes, because not only are they high quality but they are also made of sustainable material. The softness of these on my face just feels so luxurious and all the brushes in this set apply colour evenly without streaking or concentrating the colour in a single area. I like that it comes with a brush roll, so it comes in handy when I want to travel with these.
I got this at my local Tesco priced at £13, but used my vouchers so it only cost me 99p! However, I would have paid full price. These are great brushes. The blusher brush is really soft and full enough to use effectively for powder application, which is what I use it for. The angled liner is firm and good for lining and on brows, and the concealer brush works well too. I admit I haven't yet used the eyeshadow brush as I keep forgetting I own it! But it's a good shape with decent bristles also. The brow and lash comb is, well, a brow and lash comb. Does the job.
The only thing I really dislike is the completely useless brush roll that comes with. Looks nice but every time I pick it up the brushes slide out. It can't be tied tightly enough to be used in any practical way. Other than that if you are looking for an economical brush set you won't do much better than Ecotools.
So glad that I read the reviews on this because they are totally worth it for practically next to nothing. They are SOOOO soft and apply color wonderfully.... I can't stop touching my face with the blush brush. the eyeliner brush is awesome as well. I use the eyelash comb, but I've used better, but it's okay because I love this combo set so that one particular item doesn't need to be perfect. I want to try the ecotools kabuki brush next!
These are probably the softest brushes ever. I love them especially the eyeshadow brush. This was the first time I've ever used a flat shaped eyeshadow brush. It really picks up color and deposits it neatly on the lid. The blush brush is super soft. I've washed these brushes about 5 times they dry overnight and they remain soft.
The best brushes! For about $12, you get a brush holder, blush brush, shadow brush, concealer brush, angled liner brush, and lash/brow comb. Except for the comb (I prefer my Tweezerman metal lash comb), I use these all daily. My favorite is the shadow brush. A lot of people are noticing that they can't get enough color on the brush, and I can't imagine not being able to get shadow on this brush. Try laying the brush on it's side and rubbing it gently on shadow, or dipping the side into a pigment and tapping of the excess. The sides grab so much color for me. My second favorite is the blush brush. The taklon is so soft and the brush creates a perfect flush. The concealer brush is nice and stiff, but still soft, and the firm tip is great for targeting blemishes with mineral powder. The angled liner brush is also amazing for blending powder over liner, applying damp shadow to line your eyes, or putting gel or cream liner on. Not only are the brushes amazing, they are earth friendly. They clean easier than my natural hair brushes as well. These brushes are a must try!
In terms of affordability and quality, this set is one of the best so far. My favorite is the blush brush because it is super soft and just glides on your face. It does not shed and very eco friendly.
Everything I need in just one set <3
The blush brush: Exactly like Sonia Kashusk's blush brush.
The eyeliner brush: Exactly like Jane's eyeliner brush that comes with the mineral gel eyeliner.
The eyelash comb: is plastic. I prefer to use the metal comb from SK's line.
The brow brush: does help to comb your stubborn brows.
The shading brush: is big so not sure how to use it besides an all over lid brush.
The concealer brush: is almost exactly like the shading brush. The only difference is that it's not as stiff and it has a pointed tip.
They all have wooden handles which aren't too long or too short and the bristles are soft. Overall good buy if you already don't have brushes like these and want to only spend $10. Be sure to check for coupons online. I purchased these at RiteAid.
